United Boxing Promotions signs Indian prospect Sukhdeep Singh

Pro debut Marzo 17 en Canadá
MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Canadá (Febrero 8, 2018) – Promociones United Boxing (UBP) announced today that it has signed Indian super middleweight prospect Sukhdeep Singh for his professional debut, Marzo 17, en el Centro Hersey en Mississauga, Ontario, Canadá.

India may not be boxing’s most fertile country, although reigning World Boxing Organization (OMB) Asia Pacific and Oriental super middleweight champion Vijender Singh (10-0, 7 KOs) is an exception, but Singh had a decorated amateur career, ranked as high as No. 17 in the world in his division.
The 25-year-old Singh, who is switches between orthodox and southpaw stances, captured gold medals at the 2012 Campeonato Nacional Senior de Boxeo y 2011 Boxing Super Cup. Hace dos años, he also trained with the Indian Olympic Boxing Team in Ireland.

(Febrero 8, 2018) – Muy promocionado 2016 U.S. Olímpico Karlos Balderas se enfrentarán Jorge Rojas in a six-round matchup live in primetime on Saturday, Febrero 17 in Premier Boxing Champions on FOX and FOX Deportes action from Don Haskins Center on the UTEP campus in El Paso, Texas with television covered starting at 8 p.m. Y/5 p.m. PT.
Balderas vs. Rojas will be featured on fight night coverage, which is headlined by a 12-round duel between former welterweight world champions Víctor Ortiz (32-6-2, 25 KOs) y Devon Alexander (27-4, 14 KOs) in the main event and an a 12-round IBF super middleweight title elimination bout between undefeated contender Caleb “Sweethands” Planta (16-0, 10 KOs) y Rogelio “Gordo” Medina (38-8, 32 KOs) en la pelea co-estelar.

My first three fights have finished very fast, so people haven’t seen my true speed and power. I have an explosiveness that I’d like to showcase more. I’ll look to show more of my speed and my boxing skill in this fight. I need more rounds and experience to progress. I want to box and move more, use my feet more in this fight. I’d like to do that, but we’ll see what happens.”
Rojas (4-2-1, 2 KOs) fought four times last year and is coming off a loss to Cesar Soriano in his last fight on Octubre. 17. The 27-year-old Rojas of Puebla, Mexico will be fighting in the U.S. por primera vez en su carrera.

El ex olímpico Lenin Castillo (17-1-1, 12 Nocáuts) de la República Dominicana ha firmado con la nueva empresa de gestión de Puerto Rico, Spartan Boxing Club, en su misión de formar parte de las grandes etapas en el boxeo.

 

 

 

 

Presidente Spartan Boxing Club Raul Pastrana declaró que “Ya estamos planeando poner en Castillo Abril 7 tarjeta en San Juan, Puerto Rico, Ángel Acosta, donde defenderá su título mundial OMB, y actualmente estamos en el proceso de buscar un oponente de calidad junto con un título regional al rango Castillo en las primeras posiciones con el fin de obtener una mayor lucha por el fin de año”.

Hijo del ex campeón mundial Agapito Sánchez firma contrato gerencial
Queens, Nueva York (Febrero 8, 2018) – El Matador Management se enorgullece de anunciar la firma del prospecto invicto de peso pluma Juan “Ciclón” Sánchez a un contrato gerencial exclusivo.
Sánchez, 22 años de Allentown, Pensilvania tiene una marca perfecta de 4-0 con un solo golpe de gracia. Es hijo del ex campeón mundial de peso súper gallo de la OMB., Agapito Sanchez. Juan comenzó a boxear a la edad de 15, y tuvo una breve carrera amateur que consistió en aproximadamente 30 peleas.

PROGRAMAS (20-0, 17 KOs), de Houston a través de Nueva Orleans, ha anotado nocauts en 13 de su pasado 14 fights and is a rising star in the wide-open 140-pound division. The aggressive-minded southpaw will face the toughest test of his career in Postol (29-1, 12 KOs), a former WBC Super Lightweight World Champion with only one loss on his record.

A consensus top-10 ranked fighter at 140 libra, the 29-year-old Prograis has beaten three previously undefeated fighters on the SHOWTIME developmental series ShoBox: La Nueva Generación. Prograis stamped his arrival as a legitimate contender in the 140-pound division on Junio 9 scoring four knockdowns of previously undefeated Joel Diaz Jr., en route to a second-round TKO. He has since bounced back with a win over previously unbeaten Jamshidbek Najmiddinov last September in his native Ukraine. The co-feature also pits two of the top prospects in the 140-pound division, each with an opportunity to score the biggest win of their respective careers.

 

 

 

The aggressive-minded Baranchyk is a former amateur standout that packs power in both hands. The 25-year-old native of Belarus is currently ranked No. 4 in the IBF at 140 pounds and owns seven wins over previously undefeated fighters. He’s gone the 10-round distance three times and is coming off an eight-round unanimous decision over then-undefeated Keenan Smith last July on ShoBox in his adopted hometown of Miami, Oklahoma.

 

 

 

The 26-year-old Yigit competed in the 2012 Olympics for Sweden, advancing to the second round before losing a very narrow decision to eventual Silver Medalist Denys Berinchyk. The Stockholm native has tallied 21 victories in just four years following the Olympics while campaigning in Europe. The southpaw will make his U.S. debut against Baranchyk as he looks to prove he’s ready to contend on the world stage.
