LAS VEGAS (April 17, 2018) – University of Nevada at Las Vegas (UNLV) student and Las Vegas resident, unbeaten bantamweight prospect “The Baby-Faced Assassin” Max Ornelas (10-0-1, 4 KOs), faces Mexico-native Tony Lopez, Jr. (13-3, 4 KOs) this Friday night (Apr. 20) in the eight-round main event for the vacant North American Boxing Association (NABA) United States title, at Cox Pavilion on the UNLV campus.
Ornelas vs. Lopez, Jr., presented Roy Jones, Jr. (RJJ) Boxing Promotions, will air live on beIN Sports, starting at 10 p.m. ET /7 p.m. PT.  Ornelas and Lopez, Jr, who fights out of Ft. Worth, TX, are RJJ stablemates.
In the eight-round, co-featured event, unbeaten World Boxing Council (WBC) United States welterweight champion Jimmy “Quiet Storm” Williams (14-0-1, 5 KOs), a former college football player from New Haven, Connecticut, meets Marquis Taylor (8-1, 0 KOs), of Houston, in a non-title match.
Undefeated Roy Jones protégé Shady Gamhour (6-0, 5 KOs), a Swedish middleweight now living in Jones’ hometown of Pensacola, FL, fights Mexican Erasmo Garcia (5-2, 3 KOs) in the six-round televised opener.
Also fighting on the undercard is Australian super welterweight and past world title challenger,Tommy “The Titan” Browne (35-7-2, 13 KOs), versus Carlos Hernandez (15-17, 12 KOs), of Puerto Rico, in an eight-round bout.
Top Rank’s blue-chip prospect, 17-year-old Stockton, CA sensation Gabriel Flores, Jr. (6-0, 5 KOs), a 2016 World Juniors Championships silver medalist, takes on Mexico-native Alejandro Rochin (5-1, 3 KOs), fighting out of Oklahoma City, in a six-round match.
Pro-debuting Las Vegas junior lightweight Jaime Gomez and Ivan Ortiz (1-0-1, 1 KO), of Los Angeles, will clash in a four-round “walk out” fight.

LAS VEGAS (April 4, 2018) – Mexican bantamweight Tony Lopez, Jr. (13-3, 4 KOs) believes an impressive victory April 20th over his Roy Jones Jr., Boxing Promotions (RJJ) stablemate, unbeaten bantamweight prospect “The Baby-Faced Assassin” Max Ornelas (10-0-1, 4 KOs), will get him back in the mix.

 

 

 

 

Ornelas vs. Lopez, Jr., presented RJJ Boxing Promotions, will air live on beIN Sports, starting at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT, from Cox Pavilion on the University of Nevada at Las Vegas campus.

 

 

 

 

The vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) North American Boxing Association (NABA) USA bantamweight title will be on the line in the eight-round main event.

 

 

 

 

A UNLV sophomore who lives in Las Vegas, the 19-year-old Ornelas is ranked by the World Boxing Association (WBA) at No. 14 in the world. “I’ve had several fights where my role was reversed, and I was fighting in my hometown in front of my fans, friends and family,” Dallas resident Lopez, Jr. spoke about fighting Ornelas on the road. “I wanted to put on a show and they were screaming like crazy before the opening bell. Once the fight started, though, I didn’t see or hear them. It was just me and my opponent. I’ve fought in Las Vegas a few times and I’m comfortable fighting him (Ornelas) there. I understand that this is part of my job, a requirement, regardless of fighting him in his hometown. I like pressure.”

 

 

 

 

Lopez, Jr. was born in Mexico, but he’s lived nearly his entire life in Texas. His father,Tony Lopez, Sr., was an ex-fighter from Mexico who got his son into boxing when he was six. Now, Lopez, Jr. fights for Roy Jones, Jr.

 

 

 

 

“It’s surreal,” the rugged southpaw admitted. “I’m fighting for a living legend, arguably one of the greatest boxers of all time. He knows me, he’s seen me fight. It’s an honor to wear his gear, not only as a fan of his, but to represent his company. It’s one of the coolest things in this business.”

 

 

 

 

Ornelas is also promoted by RJJ Boxing Promotions and they’ve fought together on two RJJ cards. They’re familiar with each other and, if styles truly make great fights, this one could turn out to be an instant classic.

 

 

 

 

“He’s (Max) a very clean fighter, by the books, not wanting to get into scrapes,” the 24-year-old Lopez spoke about his opponent. “He strides and moves, not looking to bang or exchange. He likes to fight on the outside, using his size and length. He’s fast but doesn’t have a lot of power. It’s hit and not get hit for him. He has a lot of holes and me being the more experienced fighter, I plan to expose some of those holes.

 

 

 

 

“Back in May of 2016, I fought and undefeated opponent, Jerren Cochran (11-0-1), and I knew it was an audition for Roy and RJJ. I came out in a full attack mode because I wanted to make a statement. ((Lopes knocked our Cochran in the second round.) I’m looking to make another statement this time around by fighting like I did earlier in my career.

 

 

 

 

“I’m faster, stronger and have better head movement than him. I’m still young but I have more life experience than him (Ornelas). I’m still young, only 24, but I have more experience than him going into this fight. I’ve fought a former world champion (Rico Ramos). I’m part of a new team and my FHG Gloves teammates are John Vera, who just fought for a world title, and Edwin Vasquez. An impressive victory will put me right back in the mix for a big Saturday night fight for an even bigger title.”

Highly-touted Uzbekistan-native Elnur Abduraimov, now fighting out of Las Vegas, will make his professional in a four/six-round bout versus an opponent to be determined, opening the televised segment of the card. Abduraimov won a bronze medalist at the 2015 World Amateur Championships, as well as gold at the 2015 Asian Amateur Boxing Championships.

 

 

 

 

Australian super welterweight and past world title challenger, Tommy “The Titan” Browne(35-7-2, 13 KOs), faces Carlos Hernandez (15-17, 12 KOs), of Puerto Rico, in an eight-round bout.

 

 

 

 

2016 World Juniors Championships silver medalist Gabriel Flores, Jr. (6-0, 5 KOs), a 17-year-old sensation from Stockton, CA, squares off against Mexico-native Alejandro Rochin(5-1, 3 KOs), fighting out of Oklahoma City, in a six-round match.

Cintron & Taylor battle to a no-contest

Bethlehem, PA (February 15, 2018) – This past Tuesday night, junior welterweight Mykal Fox took an eight-round unanimous decision over tough Ricardo Garcia in the main event of an eight-bout card at the

Sands Bethlehem Event Center.
The card was promoted by King’s Promotions.
Fox of Forestville, Maryland remained undefeated by using his long reach, as he used his jab and nice left hands.  Garcia landed haymaker shots from time to time,  but over the second half of the fight, Fox made the proper adjustments and timed Garcia lunging in.  The damage inflicted by Fox was evident as Garcia’s left eye began to swell midway through the fight.  In round seven, with his eye nearly shut, Garcia ate a right hook that put him on the canvas.
Fox took the decision by scores of 78-73 twice and 77-74 to further his perfect mark to 16-0.  Garcia, 142.1 lbs of Dominican Republic dropped his 2nd straight fight, and is now 14-2.
Former two-time world welterweight champion Kermit Cintron and Marquis Taylor fought to a no-contest after an accidental headbutt caused a bad cut on the right eyelid of Cintron.
The end came at 35 seconds of round three of the scheduled eight-round super welterweight bout.
Cintron, 153.7 lbs of Reading, PA is 39-6-3.  Taylor, 153.8 lbs of Houston, TX is 8-1.
Colby Madison fought through a cut on the bridge of his nose to win a six-round unanimous decision over Dante Selby in a heavyweight bout.
Madison, 247 lbs of Owings Mills, MD won by scores of 60-54 & 59-55 twice to remain undefeated at 6-0-1.  Selby, 230 lbs of Philadelphia is 2-4-1.
Blake Mansfield stopped Darryl Bunting in round five of their scheduled six-round middleweight bout.
The bout was entertaining as the two landed good shots on each other.  Bunting was cut over his right eye from a punch in round two.  Mansfield was deducted a point in round four as his mouthpiece came out several times.
Mansfield ended the fight in round five when he landed a hard combination that had Bunting in trouble on the ropes.  Several hard an unanswered punches later, the fight was stopped at 36 seconds.
Mansfield, 162.4 lbs of Burington, NC is 6-1-1 with four knockouts.  Bunting, 163 lbs of Asbury Park, NJ is 3-3-2.
Michael Coffie won a four-round unanimous decision over tough Nicoy Clarke in a heavyweight bout.
Coffie, 269 lbs of Brooklyn, NY won all cards 40-36, and is now 2-0.  Clarke, 206.8 lbs of Jersey City, NJ was making his pro debut.
Juan Sanchez stopped Sergio Aguilar in the final scheduled round of the their four round featherweight bout.
Sanchez scored knockdowns in round one, two in round two, and finished the show with a hard left that sent Aguilar down and out with just five seconds remaining in the bout.
Sanchez, 125.5 lbs of Allentown, PA is 5-0 with two knockouts.  Aguilar, 123 lbs of Homestead, FL is 2-7.
Kendall Cannida made a successful pro debut with a four-round unanimous decision over Leroy Jones in a cruiserweight bout.
Cannida, 175.1 lbs of Philadelphia won on all cards by 40-36 scores.  Jones, 174.5 lbs of Newark, NJ is 2-2.
Martino Jules won a four-round unanimous decision over Malik Loften in a battle of previously undefeated featherweight’s.
Jules scored a knockdown in round two and won by scores of 39-38 and 37-37 twice.
Jules, 127.1 lbs of Philadelphia is 3-0.  Loften, 125.8 lbs of Suitland, MD is 1-1.

Bethlehem, PA (February 9, 2018) – Junior Lightweight contender Frank De Alba suffered a cut in his last day of sparring and will not be able to compete against Carlos Padilla in the main event of King’s Promotions packed card on Tuesday, February 13th at The Sands Bethlehem Event Center.
Undefeated super lightweight Mykal Fox (15-0, 4 KOs) of Baltimore, MD will take on Ricardo Garcia (14-1, 9 KOs) of Dominican Republic, also two-time world champion Kermit Cintron (39-6-3, 30 KOs) of Reading, PA. will do battle with Marquis Taylor(8-1) of Houston, Texas as the card will feature a pair of eight-round co-feature bouts.
“It’s unfortunate that Frank got hurt, but we have two excellent fights that will now top the bill,” said King’s Promotions CEO Marshall Kauffman.  “This is a terrific card from top to bottom, and we look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday night.”

Bethlehem, PA (February 5, 2018) – Two-time world welterweight champion, Kermit Cintron will now face Marquis Taylor in a ten-round bout on Tuesday, February 13th at The Sands Bethlehem Event Center.
Already announced were two eight-round co-main events featuring Frank De Alba(22-2-2, 9 KOs) taking on Carlos Padilla (16-6-1, 10 KOs) as well as Mykal Fox(15-0, 4 Kos) battling Ricardo Garcia (14-1, 9 KO’s) in a super lightweight bout.
The card is promoted by King’s Promotions.
Taylor of Houston, Texas has a record 8-1.
The 24 year-old is a five year veteran, who has a victory over previously undefeated Oscar Torres (8-0).  Taylor has won five fights in a row which includes his last fight when he won a six-round unanimous decision over Hector Mercado on November 11, 2017 in Houston.
Cintron of Reading, PA has a record of 39-6-3 with 30 KOs.
The 38 year-old Cintron is a 18 year professional who won his first 23 fights (20 via stoppage) by defeating the likes of Leon Pearson (9-1-1), Said Ouali (7-0), Omar Davila (12-2), Ian Mackillop (14-1), Luis Rosado (29-5), Elio Ortiz (25-6), & Teddy Reid (22-5-1). 

On April 23, 2005,  Cintron was stopped by Antonio Margarito in his bid to win the WBO Welterweight title.

Cintron scored two wins, which included a 10th round stoppage over contender David Estrada (18-2) before stopping Mark Suarez in six-rounds to capture the IBF Welterweight title on October 28, 2006 in Palm Beach, Florida.
Cintron made two defenses of the crown which was highlighted by a two-round destruction over Walter Matthysse (26-1), before being stopped by Margarito in their rematch.
Cintron then sandwiched wins over Lovemore Ndou (46-10-1), Alfredo Angulo (15-0) and Juliano Ramos (15-2) around a draw with Sergio Martinez (44-1-1) before dropping fights with world champions Paul Williams and Carlos Molina.
In his last bout, Cintron was stopped in five round by Tyrone Brunson.
The “Philly Fight of the Year” Candidate saw Cintron score two knockdowns in round four, but Brunson came back to drop Cintron three times in round five.
“This is a fight to comeback to get back where I need to be.  After the Brunson fight, it was back to the drawing board.  this fight will start to get me back to the top one more time,” said Cintron.
In an eight-round bout, heavyweight contender Joe Hanks (22-2, 14 KOs) of Newark, NJ will fight Nick Guivas (14-9-2, 9 KOs) of Topeka, Kansas.
In six-round bouts:
Colby Madison (5-0-1, 4 KOs) of Owings Mills, Maryland will fight Dante Selby (2-3-1) of Philadelphia in a heavyweight bout.
Blake Mansfield (5-1-1, 3 KOs) of Burlington, NC will fight Darryl Bunting (3-2-2, 1 KO) of Asbury Park, NJ in a middleweight tilt.
Chiase Nelson (6-1, 3 Kos) of Mansfield, OH will fight Vincent Jennings (5-4-1, 4 KOs) of Grand Rapids, MI in a featherweight battle.

Philadelphia, Penn. (July 10, 2017)–Undefeated super middleweight Devar Ferhadi will take on his toughest test when he takes on battle tested Antowyan Aikens in the eight-round main event of a great night of boxing on Friday, August 11th at The SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia.
The card is promoted by King’s Promotions.
Ferhadi of Frederick, Maryland was born in Iraq, and has amassed a perfect mark of 7-0 with six knockouts.
Ferhadi has one of the unique stories in the sport as he spends about eight months out of the year as a medical student in Kurdastad, Iraq.
The 22 year-old began fighting at age 14 and went 10-2 as an amateur.  He lost in an Olympic qualifying tournament.
He started coming to the United States, and his whole family still resides in Iraq.
This will be Ferhadi’s first fight in almost a year when he stopped Christopher Petty in three rounds on August 19m 2016 in Crystal City, Virginia.
Aikens of Atlantic City, New Jersey has a record of 11-3-1 with one knockout.
Aikens, who turned professional in 2011, won his first ten fights, which was highlighted by a win over then0undefeated Sherman Artis.
Aikens went through a stretch where he went 0-3-1 against fighters who had a combined record of 29-2-2.  On May 19, Aikens got back in the win column in a big way when he took a six-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Amir Shabazz (4-0) in Philadelphia.
Appearing in the six-round co-feature, will be exciting bantamweight knockout artist Christian Carto (10-0, 10 KO’s).
Carto’s opponent will be named shortly.

Erik Spring (9-1-2, 1 KO) of Reading, PA will take on an opponent to be named in a junior middleweight bout.
David Gonzales (8-2-2, 2 KO’s) of Philadelphia will take on Darius Earvin (4-1) of Los Angeles in a super lightweight bout.
Marquis Taylor (6-1) of Houston will fight Vincent Floyd (3-2-1, 2 KO’s) of Philadelphia in a welterweight contest.

Philadelphia, PA (April 20, 2017) – On Friday night, May 19th, Carlos Rosario will take on Josh Davis in a scheduled eight-round lightweight bout that will headline a terrific night at the 2300 Arena in South Philadelphia.

The show is promoted by King’s Promotions.
Rosario of Pennsauken, New Jersey, has a record of 7-1 with four knockouts, and has won seven consecutive since dropping his pro debut.
The 26 year-old is a three-year professional, and has wins over Victor Vasquez (4-1), Bobby Hornsby (8-1), and his last outing when he stopped Lance Williams on March 11 in Philadelphia.
Davis, also 26, fights out of Washington, D.C., and brings in a respectable record of 10-1 with four knockouts.
The six-year professional will be making his first start in 18 months.  Davis, who has won six straight is coming off a four round unanimous decision over Justin Lopez on November 12, 2015.
In the six-round co-feature, it will be a battle of  light heavyweight’s as Amir Shabazz (4-0, 1 KO) of Philadelphia will take on Antowyan Aikens (10-3-1, 1 KO) of Atlantic City.
Also in six-round bouts:
Tyrone Crawley, Jr (6-0) of Philadelphia will take on Juan Rodriguez (7-6, 5 KO’s) of Manasa, Virginia in a lightweight fight.
David Gonzales (8-2, 2 KO’s) of Philadelphia will look to get back in the win column when he battles Darius Ervin (4-1) of Los Angeles, California in a junior welterweight bout.
Marquis Taylor (5-1) of Houston, Texas will square off with Rafael Montalvo (3-3, 3 KO’s) of St. Clair, PA.
Antonio Allen (0-5) will take on Demetrius Williams (0-2) in a battle of Philadelphia based junior welterweights looking for their first win.
Rounding out the card will be a four round junior welterweight bout between Titos Gosalves of Philadelphia (0-1) and pro debuting Gerardo Martinez of Phoenixville, PA.
