WORCESTER, Missa. (Gener 24, 2018) – One of New England’s leading pro prospects, welter júnior Omar Bordoy, Jr., has prepared to make a statement February 10º a “de Nova Anglaterra Futur 5”, presented Rivera Promotions Entertainment (RPE), al Palladium a Worcester.

Bordoy had an abbreviated amateur career, highlighted by his winning performance at the New England Golden Gloves as a novice boxer.
“I was a bad hot head as a kid,” Bordoy admitted. “Un dia, my cousin Edgardo, invited me to his gym after football practice and he beat me up. I was knocked down a few notches. I got into boxing and enjoyed watching Miguel Cotto i Mike Tyson. I even have some of Cotto’s tattoos. Ara, I’m more of a boxer, like a Pernell Whitaker o Floyd Mayweather, Jr. I’m a come- forward boxer who can still brawl. I’m working on my defense and feel that making adjustments in the ring is what I do best.”

Bordoy, who works fulltime as a repair technician, made his pro debut last May and he fought a total of three times in 2017, his most recent last October in Worcester on an RPE-promoted show, in which he stopped 34-fight veteran Bryan Abraham en la quarta ronda.

Al maig 27, the festivities continued into the Fight Fan Experience, a festive boxing themed environment that included a Boxing Fantasy Camp, Pop-Up Barber Shop, Jack Johnson Exhibit Icons of Boxing, The Legacy Exists Joe Frazier Scholarship Fund, James O’Neal Sculptures, The Press of Atlantic City Exhibit, Food vendors and music by DJ Young Hitta.

The evening of May 27th concluded with an Honoree Gala in the Art Gallery celebrating “Women in Boxing.” Host for the evening, Nino Del Buono. Honorees included: Cathy Burke, Marian Muhammad, Joan Pierce, Renee Aiken and Althea “Vern” Saunders.

The culminating Induction celebration concluded Sunday, May 28th with a little over 500 convidats. The master of ceremonies for the ceremony, President of NJ Boxing Hall of Fame, Henry Hascup. CIUTAT DE NOVA YORK (Maig 14, 2017) – Àrbitre/boxejador retirat Randy Neumann (31-7, 11 KOs) Randy Neumann serà el ponent convidat de Ring 8 a la seva reunió mensual proper dimarts nit, Maig 16 (7 p.m. I Començar), al restaurant O'Neill's, situat en 64-21 53rd Drive, Maspeth, Nova York 11378.
La reunió de maig del Ring 8 està patrocinada per DiBella Entertainment i Top Rank.

PBC is a television boxing series organized by Al Haymon boxing. Las Vegas (Abril 26, 2017) – 2 Temps Campió del Món Marcos Maidana has confirmed that he will appear to Meet & Saludeu els seus fans al Centre de convencions de Las Vegas per a la 3a edició de Box Fan Expo que tindrà lloc Dissabte de maig 6, 2017 from 10am to 5pm, durant el cap de setmana del Cinc de Maig. Maidana will appear for the first time at this years’ Expo at the World Boxing Association “AMB” booth and will be signing gloves, photos and merchandise. Maidana is an Argentine former professional boxer who competed from 2004 a 2014. He is a two-weight world champion, having held the WBA (Regular) super lightweight title from 2011 a 2012, and the WBA welterweight title from 2013 a 2014. An exciting and versatile pressure fighter to watch in the ring, Maidana was well known for his formidable punching power, always delivery incredible performances and was never stopped in any of his 40 baralles professionals.
