This week on Fight Talk Unlimited we discuss a wide range of topics, beginning with the death of three pro wrestlers in one day. We go on to chat about Cody Garbrandt’s biting comments about fighter pay. We touch on bareknuckle fighting’s resurgence (adding Shawne Merriman to the roster of fighters for one organization), and we recap a wild fight between Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier on last weekends UFC on Fox card. We also preview Garbrandt’s second bite at the TJ Dillashaw apple this weekend at UFC 227. Tony also helps preview one of the biggest fights of the week in Kovalev vs. Alvarez, which he will be attending in Atantic City. We do a boxing roundup of results and previews, and then we end the show with an off-topic talk about nature 🙂

El Combat Sports Show setmanal de Fight News Unlimited ara es coneix oficialment com a Fight Talk Unlimited, i ara tornem a una plataforma en directe: Divulgador.

 

Aquesta setmana al nostre episodi debut a Spreaker, parlem d'una setmana salvatge a les notícies, de la vedella de Floyd Mayweather amb 50-Cent, a la bufetada de Conor McGregor al canell per llançar un camió de mà per la finestra d'un autobús, a un professor d'escola de l'àrea de Filadèlfia que es presenta com un personatge alemany ofensiu en la seva carrera a favor de la lluita lliure. This week on the FNU Combat Sports Show we recap last week’s multiple Bellator cards and the UFC Fight Night card from Boise, Idaho. We start off discussing boxing with an analysis of Manny Pacquiao’s one-sided beating of Lucas Matthysse. We move on to other news this week, including an online spat between Brendan Schaub and Dana White and Dominick Cruz claiming Brock Lesnar will never get through USADA testing to return to the UFC octagon. We also cover upcoming boxing and MMA bouts and discuss the eye poking incidents that occurred during the brief Stipe Micocic vs. Daniel Cormier heavyweight championship bout.

This week on the FNU Combat Sports Show, Psychic Tom and Rabble Rousin’ Rich start off with a great interview with pro boxer Anthony Laureano. The Connecticut professional boxer is coming off a big win on the undercard of the Joe Smith Jr. fight at the end of June. We also recap last week’s boxing and MMA action, highlighted by Daniel Cormier’s monumental win over Stipe Miocic to become the first two belt holder in the UFC since McGregor. Tony joins the broadcast after the Laureano interview to give his take on Brock’s return to the UFC after going back to the WWE at the end of his first UFC stint. We also touch upon the Danny O’Connor fight being called off due to severe dehydration suffered by O’Connor. Finalment, we preview upcoming events and briefly discuss a rumored rematch between Vitali Klitschko and Lennox Lewis.

FNU Combat Sports Mostra: July 5th, 2018

This week on the FNU Combat Sports Show, Tom, Tony and Rich look back at Bellator 201, a new candidate for “Round de l'Any” in the Zappavigna/Saucedo fight, Golden Boy making moves in boxing and MMA, and the increasing push by streaming services to drain away the PPV dollar from sports fans. We start off discussing concussion symptoms that led to the withdrawal of Max Holloway from the co-main event of UFC 226 aquesta setmana.

 

Of course we also preview a huge weekend for the UFC with The TUF Finale tonight and the long-awaited UFC 226 main event of Stipe Miocic putting his heavyweight belt on the line against Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier.

This week on the FNU Combat Sports Show, we discuss the latest news in MMA and boxing, recap the past week’s events and preview the upcoming events this week. We also discuss Walter “2 Guns” Wright winning his main event fight against Mark DeLuca a couple days after we interviewed him last week. Wright’s split decision win came in part due to a persistent jab that frustrated DeLuca and left him bloodied, bruised and exhausted by the final bell. Of course bringing up this fact gets us all going on the absolute necessity of the jab in any combat sports fighter’s toolbox.

Among the news we touch on:

The rumors about Manny Pacquiao’s next fight with Lucas Matthysse being in jeopardy, Manny and his team say everything is on track.

Johny “Big Rig” Hendricks retires (also forgot to mention Rashad Evans retired as well).

 

The latest cast for The Contender Series, set to return this August featuring 16 up and coming young boxers in the 160-pound division.

 

Lyoto Machida’s defection from the UFC to Bellator and Bellator’s blockbuster deal with DAZN, a streaming service working to take over new markets this year, including the US and Italy.

(see poster below) This week we caught up with Walter before he made the trip east from Seattle. We interviewed him about the big fight and discussed his career in general. We also recapped all of last week’s boxing and MMA events and provided some other news tidbits like the Creed II trailer release and Ronda Rousey’s 30-day suspension from the WWE. Tom, Tony i Rich tenen un munt de terreny per cobrir en aquest episodi. Recaptem les baralles més importants de la setmana passada, començant amb el primer esdeveniment de boxa bareknuckle sancionat en centenars d'anys. També desglossem l'última targeta UFC Fight Night on Jimmie Rivera va guanyar la primera derrota de la seva última 21 baralles. Parlem de la diatriba de Dana White contra els lluitadors que no accepten les baralles que la companyia vol, i destruïm Canelo Álvarez i el seu equip per destruir totes les possibilitats d'una altra baralla amb GGG. Aprofitem una bona part de l'espectacle per descriure i analitzar tots els diferents partits de boxa que tenen lloc aquest dissabte, des del retorn de Tyson Fury al ring contra Sefer Seferi fins a la batalla de la lliura per la millor lliura i els pes welter invictes Jeremy Horn i Terrence Crawford lluitant a ESPN+ (que critiquem molt). També toquem la targeta de debut de la PFL, una lliga de lluita on tots els premis arriben al final de la temporada. Finalment, previsualitzem UFC 225 i discuteix les possibilitats de CM Punk de demostrar que és un autèntic lluitador en gàbia.
