SEPTEMBER 22nd, 2020 NEW YORK CITY – Former Olympian and #1 ranked IBF light heavyweight contender Meng Fanlong (16-0, 10 KOs) is now a promotional free agent after reaching a separation agreement with Roc Nation.

“I’m very happy to be a free agent," said Meng. “I have the best team around me, my advisors Terry and Tommy Lane, my trainer Shaun George, my attorney Scott Shaffer and my Chinese representative Kurt Li. They are building a solid plan for my career and I am really looking forward to the future. I am still the mandatory challenger in the IBF. Seguirem endavant!"

Last summer, Meng earned the IBF’s #1 ranking with a 2019 victory over then-undefeated Adam Deines. Com a resultat, Meng was set to fight unified champion Artur Beterbiev on March 28th, 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic KO’d the bout. In late 2018, Meng traveled to Monte Carlo and stopped British contender Frank Buglioni in five rounds, sending Buglioni into retirement. His most recent fight was a second-round stoppage of Gilberto Rubio that was not televised anywhere.

Despite his undefeated record and stellar amateur background highlighted by representing his native China at the 2012 Jocs Olímpics, Meng remains relatively unknown in the United States. His current team intends for that to change soon.

“We can’t wait for people to see him fight;" said Meng’s advisor, Tommy Lane. “He is one of the best fighters in boxing today and is yet to fight on a major platform, and that’s a shame. We hope to change that very soon. We are currently feilding different opportunities for Fanlong.”

OCTOBER 22nd, Nova York — Number one IBF light heavyweight contender, Meng Fanlong (16-0, 10 KOs), and top heavyweight, Zhang Zhilei (20-0, 16 KOs), sign exclusive advisor agreements with newly formed ‘Lane Brothers Boxing.’

As the IBF #1 contender in the light heavyweight division, Meng is eyeing a fight early next year against Champion Artur Beterbiev, who just scored a sensational technical knockout win over Oleksandr Gvozdyk Friday night in Philadelphia.

RENO’S JJ MARIANO TO MAKE PRO DEBUT / CARSON CITY’S ELIZONDO RETURNS TO RING JUNE 8TH

Maig 30, RENO — Northern Nevadans JJ Mariano and Diego Elizondo are scheduled to fight on the June 8th world-championship boxing card at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The event is presented by Top Rank Inc., Anem a Get It On Promotions, and the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. The evening’s feature attraction matches World Champion Oscar Valdez (25-0, 20 KOs) against Jason Sanchez (14-0, 7 KOs) for the WBO Featherweight World Title.  



Making his highly anticipated pro debut, Reno’s own JJ Mariano will be fighting William Flenoy of Fresno in a four-round jr. welterweight bout. Mariano, who has been exciting local boxing fans by fighting for University of Nevada Reno’s boxing program, is ready to throw his hat into the prize ring.  

“I’ve been looking forward to fighting professionally for about a year now.” Says Mariano. “Being able to have your first pro fight in your hometown is something special.”

Mariano, who is a Reed High School graduate, has also recently participated in various Golden Glove tournaments.

In a battle of undefeated prospects, Carson City lleuger Diego Elizondo (2-0-1) will be fighting Sacramento’s Sergio Vega (2-0) in a four-round match. After a layoff, Elizondo is eager to get back into the squared-circle.

“I have bigger plans in boxing.” Says Elizondo.  “A win over Vega will be a step in the right direction.”

April 30th, RENO — The card is set for May 4th’s world-class boxing event presented by Let’s Get It On Promotions and the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The evening’s feature attraction matches world-ranked Oscar “El Chapito” Vasquez (15-1) against Ricardo "El Nen" Sandoval (12-1) en una de vuit assalts, batalla súper mosca. Abril 4, RENO — Let’s Get It On Promotions and the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa are pleased to announce “The Main Event” – an exciting night of world-class professional boxing Friday, 4 de maig, 2018 at the Reno/Sparks Convention Center. Oscar “El Chapito” Vasquez (15-1) vs. Ricardo “El Niño” Sandoval (12-1) are matched in the main event.

 

 

 

 

In a sensational eight-round super-flyweight bout, Reno’s own Oscar Vasquez will be facing his toughest foe yet. Reno boxing fans remember Ricardo Sandoval (Tijuana, MX) when he faced the tough Brent Venegas last November. Sandoval earned the decision over Venegas in an action-packed brawl. Sandoval has earned three more wins since then. Many consider Vasquez vs. Sandoval to be a pick-em fight.

 

 

 

 

“It’s a coinflip.” Says Let’s Get It On Promotions’ Tommy Lane. “Both guys come forward, both like to exchange punches. It will be a very exciting fight.”

 

 

 

 

Vásquez, who is ranked in the top 15 en pes mosca, is knocking at the door of a big opportunity. Sandoval has quickly earned a name for himself at the super flyweight division as well. A win for either will surely present bigger opportunities.

Cruiserweight Blake “The Beast” McKernan (7-0, 5 KOs) of Sacramento will be making his way over the mountains to fight May 4th. McKernan, an Army Veteran who served in Iraq, is looking to remain undefeated in a six-round bout.

14 D'AGOST, RENO — El Fallon Rural Rumble va tornar a oferir una nit de boxa professional de classe mundial sensacional a la seva desena entrega en dissabte nit.

 

En la seva primera lluita de deu rondes, Oscar "Chapito" Vasquez, nadiu de Reno i classificat mundialment, va aconseguir una impressionant victòria per decisió unànime sobre Javier Gallo a l'esdeveniment principal de la nit.. Vasquez millora 14-1.

JULY 19th, RENO — The City of Fallon and Let’s Get It On Promotions are pleased to announce the tenth annual ‘Rural Rumble’. La August 12th fight card will feature Reno’s Oscar “Chapito” Vasquez (13-1), and Gabriel Flores (2-0) de Stockton, TAL COM.

 

Oscar “Chapito” Vasquez, who was recently ranked #15 flyweight in the world by the World Boxing Organization, is coming off of a dominant unanimous decision victory over Armando Vasquez in June. He looks to further his world title campaign against veteran Javier Gallo (24-13-1) who is coming off of an impressive upset split decision victory over Jose Salgado in April. Vasquez versus Gallo is scheduled for ten rounds.

 

El invicte, emocionant, and youngest-ever signed Top Rank Inc. boxer Gabriel Flores makes his return to Northern Nevada at this year’s Rural Rumble. In his professional debut on 5 de maig, Flores delighted the Reno fight fans by impressively knocking out Devon Jones. On June 30th, he scored his second consecutive KO over Jahaziel Vasquez in Texas. .

 

Four other bouts are scheduled for August 12th in Fallon. Carson City’s own Diego Elizondo will be making his anticipated professional debut in a four-round lightweight fight. And finally, Reno bantamweight Alec McGee (2-1) looks to get back into the win column as he, massa, returns to Fallon for the 2017 Rural Rumble in a four round scrap.

VASQUEZ BROTHERS WIN IN RENO

Juny 13, RENO — In front of a packed crowd at the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa, Reno, flyweight Oscar Vasquez took a unanimous victory against Mexico’s Javier Lapizco. Vasquez moves to 10-1, Lapizco to 7-4.

 

Oscar’s younger brother Santos scored a second-round TKO over Nestor Hernandez in a Jr. flyweight bout. Santos had Hernandez down in the first round by landing a left-hook that landed perfectly. He continued to land punches in the second and once again put Hernandez down. After a third knockdown, referee Vic Drakulich called a stop to the contest. Vasquez moves to 2-2, Hernandez to 0-2.

The sensational opening bout pitted super featherweights Derick Bartlemay and Matt Murphy against each other in a four-round fight. The nonstop action resembled the final fight sequence in a Rocky movie and ultimately resulted in a draw.

 

In a four-round super-featherweight bout, Rafael Busuioc scored a unanimous decision win over Jose Luis Gallegos in an a high energy bout.

June 8th, RENO — The final touches for Dissabte de world-class boxing event have been finalized by Let’s Get It On Promotions and the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa. The full professional boxing card will take place At Atlantis’ Paradise Ballroom 7 Primer ministre Dissabte.

 

June 11th’s card will be headlined by Reno’s own Oscar Vasquez (9-1) as he faces Mexico’s Javier Lapizco (7-3) of in an eight-round flyweight bout.

 

Oscar’s younger brother, Sants, will also be fighting en dissabte. Santos will be fighting Nestor Hernandez of Seattle, WA in a junior-flyweight bout.

 

Two of Reno’s amateur boxing stars will be making their highly-anticipated professional debuts in separate bouts. Alec McGee will be debuting in four-round fight in the bantamweight division against Mulapi Enjani of San Diego, TAL COM. Kenny Davis Jr. will be fighting Jose Luis Gallegos of Bakersfield, CA in a four-round featherweight bout.

 

In a four-round junior-lightweight contest, Sacramento’s Rafael Busuioe will face Kevin Davila of Seattle.
