Tri-Star Boxing Promotions returns to Nashville December 8

Nashville, Tenesi (Studeni 7, 2017) – Junior flyweight sensation Edwin Reyes looks for his fourth straight victory when he challenges Santos “Titos” Vasquez in the eight round main event of Tri-Star Boxing’s “Fights at the Fairgrounds” Petak, Prosinac 8 at the Fairgrounds Sports Arena in Nashville.
Living and fighting out of Nashville by way of Guatemala, Reyes owns a solid 7-2-2 record with five KO’s. Na Rujan 15, Reyes outpointed ultra-experienced Armando Vasquez over eight rounds. Locals have fully adopted Reyes, who will be fighting for a sixth time in the Music City.
Representing Reno, NV, the hard-hitting Vasquez is 4-2-1 with three wins by knockout. A win over Reyes would run Vasquez’ unbeaten streak to five fights.
The co-featured bout of the evening pits Nashville-based knockout artist Sena “African Assassin” Agbeko against durable veteran Juan Carlos Rojas of Mexico in a six rounds super middleweight showdown.

“I’m glad to have two of our favorite local fighters headlining again,” said Matt Young, founder of Tri-Star Boxing Promotions. “Reyes gives fans their money’s worth every time and Sena’s produced some great knockouts. Fans are also in for a treat with Mike Wilson. He was one of America’s top amateurs and is unbeaten in the pros so a big fight is definitely in his future.”
Light heavyweight Roy King, 10-1-1 (5 KO-a) Johnson City, TN meets 34 fight veteran Marcus Brooks of Fort Benning, GA in a six round light heavyweight showdown while debuting light heavyweight Maidel Sando squares off with Memphis, TN’s Darius Shorter. Eduardo Aguiar, 1-0, will do battle with Memphis native Adam Young and debuting Demarcus “Chuckie” Driver enters the paid ranks against 10 fight vet Nicholas Rodriguez of Kentucky.

Williams, 25, has notable victories over Gabor Gorbić (22-4) for the vacant WBO European super middleweight title, a Gary Corcoran (15-0) for the BBBBofC British crown. The Welshman also was the Commonwealth (Britansko carstvo) 154-pound podjela titula.
“Our first meeting was a good fight,” Williams explained. “I felt like I started very well. I was out-boxing him and getting a lot of rounds in the bag. BROOKLYN (Studeni. 5, 2017) – Undefeated heavyweight world champion Deontay Wilder retained his WBC title in his sixth defense with a dominant first-round knockout of mandatory challenger Gold Cup u glavnom slučaju Showtime Championship Boxing Subota night on SHOWTIME from Barclays Center, dom BROOKLYN boksa®.

Seconds after Stiverne got back to his feet, Wilder landed another clean combination with a big left and an overhand right that sent a stunned Stiverne back to the canvas. The final blow came in the waning moments of the opening round as Wilder landed four clean punches to the face of a wobbly Stiverne.
“You have to give props to Stiverne for getting in the ring,” Said Wilder. “It takes a lot of courage and it takes a lot of pride to step in the ring with someone like me. We do what we have to do in the ring and at least he stepped up. He was a clean fighter.”
After the brutal knockout, an emotional Wilder was asked by SHOWTIME Sports®reporter Jim Gray about a possible fight with unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.
“I’ve been waiting on that fight for a long time now,” Said Wilder. “I declare war upon you. Do you accept my challenge? I’ve been waiting for a long time. I know I’m the champion. I know I’m the best. Are you up for the test?
“A king doesn’t chase the peasants. A king takes kings. I want Joshua. If he doesn’t give me the fight we have other plans. The world wants Joshua, the world wants Wilder, I want Joshua. Joshua come and see me baby. No more dodging, no more excuses. Make the date, don’t wait.”

The back-and-forth 12-round world championship fight saw Lipinets control the early rounds with a diversified, creative attack targeting Kondo’s body. An accidental clash of heads in the sixth round, which opened up a deep cut on the forehead of Lipinets, altered the momentum of the fight as Kondo gained confidence and was able to land some powerful punches to the head and body of Lipinets. The 28-year old Lipinets, who earned the title in just his 13th professional fight, was able to regain control in the later rounds to earn the unanimous win.
“I think the scorecards were accurate but it was a good fight,” Said Lipinets. “The head-butt really impaired my vision and it led to me walking into some stupid shots.
“I’m happy with my performance. I’m just going to keep getting better from here. I’m ready to take any on challenge thrown my way.”
Kondo, who was fighting for the first time in the United States, proved a worthy opponent on the night. “It was a fair decision,” said Kondo, through a translater. “He hit me with a lot of hard punches and I felt like I needed at least a knockdown in the last round.
“I made up my mind that I wasn’t going to show any pain or fear from his punches. I was determined to keep fighting all night.”

Salita Signs Co-Promotional Deal with Russian Heavyweight KO Artist Apti Davtaev

Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions proudly announces the signing of Russian heavyweight prospect Apti Davtaev (13-0-1, 13 Kos) Na temelju ugovora o ko-promotivne, in association with KA promotions and Kazbek Aslambekov.
Already the promoter of top heavyweight contender Jarrell Miller, Salita says that the 6′ 5″ KO artist Davtaev has strong potential to also rise to the top of the big man’s division.

Davtaev is scheduled to fight Studeni 20, in a 10-round fight in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and then will be travelling to the US to continue his training for his first fight in North America.

Atlantic City, Nju Džerzi (Studeni 2, 2017)–Tough veteran Samuel Amoako steps in for Tomas Mendez to fight popular welterweight contender Toma “Cornflake” LaManna in a scheduled ten-round bout for the LBF Intercontinental welterweight title on Subota, November 18th na The Claridge u Atlantic City.
The bout will headline a nine-bout card promoted by Rising Promotions, Greg Cohen Promocije, Devin Haney Promotions & Pobjednik dobiva sve Productions.
“This is boxing and changes always happen. I was looking forward to fighting Mendez but due to visa issues, that killed the fight. I’m not taking Amoako lightly because any fighter is dangerous in their own way. Amoako has fought a lot of good fighters and only been stopped twice in his career. Wasn’t my favorite choice as opponent but Amoako was the first to sign contract last minute,” rekao LaManna.
Amoako of Silver Spring, Maryland via Accra, Gana, ima rekord 23-16 s 17 miševa.

The 33 year-old Amoako is a 12 year-veteran and has wins over Albert Mensah (9-2-1) & Richard Amenfu (9-2). Amoako has faced some of the best fighters in the world in former world champion Gavin Rees as well as former world title challengers Miguel Roman, Sharif Bogere. Bogere has also shared the ring with top contenders Jonathan Maicelo, Tony Luis and Mike Reed.

Amoako has only been stopped twice, and this will be his 14th fight in the last 21 mjeseci. He is coming off a decision loss to Skender Halili on October 21st in Newark, New Jersey.

Atlantic City, New Jersey (Studeni 2, 2017)–Lokalni favorit Antonije “Sok” Mladi will headline a special night of action dubbed “Boardwalk Brawls 2” na Subota, December 16th na The Claridge Hotel u Atlantic City.
The show is promoted by Mis Downing Promotions.
Young of Atlantic City has a record of 18-2 sa šest knockouts, and is riding a seven fight winning streak.
The 29 year-old Young is a six-year veteran who has garnered wins over Jose Javier Calderon (4-1), and is coming off a six-round unanimous decision over 56-fight veteran Carlos Winston Velasquez on August 19th at The Claridge.
This will be Young’s 4th consecutive start at The Claridge and 12th overall fight in his hometown of Atlantic City.
Young’s opponent in the scheduled ten-round bout will be announced shortly.
Appearing the eight-round heavyweight co-feature will be Heavyweight Chazz Witherspoon.
Witherspoon od Paulsboro, New Jersey ima rekord 36-3 s 28 miševa.
The 36 year-old Witherspoon is a 13-year-professional has fought some of the top fighters in the Heavyweight division.

Witherspoon has stopped his last six foes, and is coming off a 4th round stoppage over Carlos Sandoval on October 1, 2016 in Trenton, New Jersey.
Witherspoon’s opponent will be announced shortly.
An all-star lineup makes up an exciting undercard.
