Miguel Madueño Headlines Thompson Boxing’s New Blood Event on October 22

TARONJA, TAL COM (Octubre 5, 2021) – Undefeated lightweight sensation, Miguel “El Explosivo” Madueño (25-0, 23 KOs), is scheduled to headline Thompson Boxing’s “New Blood” event on Friday, Octubre 22, 2021.

Madueño will face Jose Luis “La Boa” Rodriguez (25-14-1, 13 KOs) en l'esdeveniment principal de 8 rondes.

The 22-year-old Madueño, who hails from Guasave, Sinaloa, Mèxic, is coming off his most impressive victory, a tenth round TKO against Sonny Fredrickson (21-5, 14 KOs). That fight just took place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, al setembre 14, 20201. Fresh off the win, Madueño is excited to be right back in the ring.


“It feels great to be so active after only fighting a couple of times last year,” said Madueño. “This will be my fourth fight of 2021 and I want to make it a memorable outing. I want to take the momentum from my fight with Fredrickson into this bout. Rodriguez is a worthy opponent who has gone the distance with a lot of good fighters. Ruben Torres Replaces Michael Dutchover Headlining Final 3.2.1. Boxing Event of 2020

CORONA, TAL COM (Desembre 8, 2020) – Thompson Boxing Promotions has a new main event for their Sunday, December 20th 3.2.1. Boxa esdeveniment. Ruben “Ace” Torres (13-0, 11 KOs) will be replacing his stablemate, Michael “The West Texas Warrior” Dutchover (14-1, 10 KOs), de Midland, TX, who will no longer compete on the card. Olympic Medal Winner Nico Hernandez Dominates Mexico’s Victor Trejo Garcia in UFC Fight Pass Main Event from Mulvane, Kansas

Fighting in the main event of a special two-hour live stream on UFC Fight Pass and in front of an adoring crowd of fans at the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Kansas, hometown favorite and US Olympic bronze medal winner Nico Hernandez (7-0, 4 KOs) won his eight-round flyweight showdown by unanimous decision over a determined but out-gunned Victor Trejo Garcia of Mexico City, Mèxic (16-10-1, 8 KOs).


It was a good “learning” fight for Hernandez, as Garcia never threatened to win, but hung tough against the superior firepower to keep things entertaining throughout. Classificacions dels jutges van ser 79-73, 80-72 i 80-72. Hernandez appears to be progressing well in the professional game. He was sitting down on his punches well and picking spots for his punishing combinations like a veteran.

Fighting in the middle UFC Fight Pass bout, the two super lightweights did not disappoint, going to old-school inside warfare for eight exciting rounds. The entertaining Eyubov was the much more active fighter. He worked the body relentlessly while mixing in powerful hooks with both hands upstairs. Rodriguez weathered the relentless storm and came back consistently with hard, accurate counters.


Al final, the judges couldn’t decide who won and a majority draw was the verdict. One judge had it 77-75 for Rodriguez, a bit surprisingly, but was overruled by stereo scores of 76-76. Give both fighters credit, it was an entertaining slugfest and the Kansas fans loved it.


In the six-round super flyweight Fight Pass opener, Pushkino, Russia’s Elena Savelyeva (5-1, 4 KOs) necessaris només 36 seconds to dispatch Kansas City’s Tatiana Williams Kansas City (0-2). LANCASTER, TAL COM. (Juny 12, 2017) – L'ex campió del món Brandon Rius (34-3-1, 24 KOs) va tornar al ring amb un nocaut tècnic de Mèxic a la setena ronda Aaron Herrera (23-7-1, 14 KOs) en l'esdeveniment principal de Lliga de Campions de Boxa a FS1 i FOX Esports Diumengenit des de The Pioneer Event Center a Lancaster, Califòrnia.
“He tingut aquesta bona sensació de nervis aquesta nit, com abans del meu debut professional,” va dir Rius. “Estava una mica nerviosa, però allà em sentia bé.”
En el seu primer combat a 19 mesos, Rios va mostrar el seu estil emocionant i característic en trencar el mateix partit d'Herrera abans de detenir-lo al final del seu concurs de pes welter.. Herrera va rebre una bona part de càstig durant les primeres rondes, però es va mantenir competitiu en llançar constantment contra els agressius Rios., que va poder parar alguns dels tirs d'Herrera amb un moviment efectiu del cap. Herrera va fer la seva millor ronda a la quarta quan va canviar les marees momentàniament en ser més actiu que Rios..
“Sempre estic preparat per a qui em posen al davant,” va dir Rius. “Era dur i es balancejava fort. Vaig haver d'anar amb compte i no hi podia entrar boig. De vegades m'agafava, però això forma part de l'esport.”
El canvi no va durar gaire, ja que Rios va augmentar la pressió i va començar a frenar Herrera amb un major treball corporal.. Herrera va continuar lluitant, però va estar clarament cansat al final de la sisena ronda, quan Rios va jugar contra ell contra les cordes amb grans cops de puny..
“La propera vegada que hi entri estaré millor,” va dir Rius. “Veureu més progrés cada vegada que surti. Encara tinc el mateix estil, però hi afegeixo més atletisme i moviment del cap. Vaig sentir que m'havia anat bé allà dins.”
L'atac va continuar a la setena ronda, mentre Rios va perseguir Herrera cap a les cordes abans de lliurar finalment el ganxo dret al cos que va posar Herrera a l'estora.. Herrera no va poder superar el recompte i Rios va tornar a la columna de victòries amb una victòria de parada2:11 a la ronda.

Borrego va mantenir l'atac i finalment va enviar Watts a la lona amb una altra mà esquerra als dos minuts de la ronda.. Mentre Watts tornava a posar-se dempeus, Borrego el va arraconar ràpidament i va fer una altra ràfega que va obligar l'àrbitre Jack Reiss a aturar el combat 2:42 a la ronda.

“I’m just ready to get back to the top. I know that I have to climb the ladder and that’s what I’m here for.
“When I said that I was done, I was done. Eventually though I started getting that urge again, to get on that stage and perform on TV. My wife told me that if I wanted to fight again, I had to come back dedicated.
“It’s really cool to be fighting right after the Mexico vs. USA match. I’m a Mexican-American but I live in the United States so it’ll be USA vs. Mexico in the ring as well when I face Herrera.
“I know that I have a very skilled, tough opponent. He’s working with Juan Manuel Marquez and he’s very experienced. He’s faced some really tough opponents. It’s going to be a good fight to get back in the ring with.
“I felt like I needed a new voice in my corner. There’s nothing against (former trainer) Robert García, I respect him and he got me to where I am today, but I felt like I got too used to that situation.
“I told (Rius’ entrenador) Ricky Funez that I wanted to come back and have him train me and thankfully he was excited to work with me. We started working really hard and we took some time to get to know each other more and more.
“I Googled ‘Southern California boxing trainers’ and Ten Goose Boxing and Ricky came up, and I decided to hit him up. So I direct messaged him on Instagram and the rest is history.
“I feel like I’m in really good shape after working with a nutritionist for the first time. My nutritionist is with me 12 hours a day and it’s had me feeling great heading into this fight.
“I’ve always been a brawler, but I’m capable of boxing, especially with my inside game. The way I can deflect punches is a strength.
“I’m just ready to get back to the top. I know that I have to climb the ladder and that’s what I’m here for.”

“Training Brandon was a good challenge for me but he has been disciplined from the very start. I laid it all out for him from the beginning, I just wanted a good response from him and he said he’s going to work hard.
“A lot of people said that he was done, and that motivated me. I’ve seen Joe Goossen bring fighters back like Diego Corrales and he’s my mentor in this sport. I’m working hard to push Brandon and get him to that level.

LAS VEGAS (Maig 31, 2017) – Errol Spence, Jr. brought an exhilarating conclusion to the month of May with a resounding 11º round knockout victory over Kell Brook to win a 147-pound world championship on Brook’s home turf of Sheffield, Anglaterra. Spence’s exciting victory was presented live by Premier Boxing Champions on SHOWTIME this past Dissabte nit.
