Falcao to battle Bonelli March 26 in Orlando, FL

Tampa, FL (März 8, 2022) – Yamaguchi Falcao will meet heavy-handed Argentine Damian Bonelli for the vacant WBA NABA Gold super middleweight championship Saturday, März 26 at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, FL.

The ten round Falcao-Bonelli bout airs live on the Bally Sports Network, Bally Sports app and Display TV.

Representing his native Brazil and currently residing in Florida, Falcao’s an outstanding 20-1-1 mit 9 of his wins coming by knockout. Februar 19, the skilled southpaw destroyed once-beaten Fernando Farias in less than two rounds. A 2012 Olympischer Bronzemedaillengewinner, Falcao has his sights set on facing the world’s best 168 pound fighters if all goes as planned against Bonelli.

Known as “El Pollero," 20 of Bonelli’s 24 victories are via knockout. The Buenos Aires native faced a number of contenders including Maciej Sulecki, Steve Rolls, Magomed Kurbanov, Carlos Gongora, Derrieck Cuevas and Fiodor Czerkaszyn, who were a combined 112-0-1 damals. Im Dezember 4 2020, Bonelli defeated the aforementioned Cuevas (23-0) and is confident he’ll emerge victorious against Falcao.

“This is a great platform for Yama to showcase his skills to fans watching around the world,” said Falcao’s promoter, Jody Caliguire von Feuerfaust Boxing Promotions. “Yama looked great his last fight and is fighting more aggressively but Bonelli’s a tough fighter that’s been in with outstanding opposition. Coyle to face Lopes February 19 in Melrose, MA

Melrose, MA (Februar 1, 2022) – Connor “The Kid” Coyle risks his perfect record against Brazilian knockout artist Rodrigo Lopes Saturday, Februar 19 at Memorial Hall in Melrose, MA.



Coyle, who is from Northern Ireland but trains in St. Petersburg, FL, ist 14-0 mit 6 seiner Siege kommen durch KO.
The 31-year-old was slated to face rugged contender Guido Nicolas Pitto of Argentina but he was forced to withdraw.



Since suffering his only career defeat, Lopes, 8-1 (7 KO) has been in the gym working on his craft. Team Lopes claims their boxer will be a totally different fighter than the one previously seen since he’ll be competing as a full-fledged middleweight rather than a weight drained welterweight.


The eight round Coyle-Lopes matchup is for the ABF Continental Americas Middleweight title.

Fernandez is 14-3-3 mit 5 KO’s and is coming off an impressive 3rd round KO of Jose Forero. Dallera hails from Argentina and is a veteran of 24 Kämpfe.

“Down and Dirty” features a total of 12 fights including lightweight Alejandro Paulino, heavyweight Donnie Palmer, welterweight Eric Goff, cruiserweight Bernard Joseph and junior welterweight Marqus Bates in separate bouts.

Falcao to fight for IBF Latino Title January 15 in Brasilien

Sao Paolo, Brasilien (November 15, 2021) – Super middleweight standout Yamaguchi Falcao will look continue his winning ways when he fights an opponent to be determined Saturday, Januar 15 in Sao Paolo, Brasilien.

Falcao’s WBC Latino title will be on the line as will the vacant IBF Latino championship in a ten round matchup.

Fresh off a dominant victory over veteran contender Jorge Daniel Miranda, Falcao is 19-1-1 as a pro with 8 Knockouts. In his last two contests, the 33-year-old southpaw’s won the WBA Fedecaribe, WBC Latino and ABF Continental Americas super middleweight championships.

Falcao, a Bronze Medalist at the 2012 Olympische Spiele, also has plans to return to America and face a top 15 ranked opponent.

Falcao’s promoter, Jody Caliguire von Feuerfaust Boxing Promotions, is happy his fighter will have another opportunity to entertain his native fans but is mapping out a strategy for the rest of 2022.

“If all goes as planned, we’re bringing Yama back to the US shortly after his fight in January. The biggest opportunities and best training resources are available to Yama here in the US. He’s long stated that he is more than happy to face any top 168 pound opponent. Bringing him back stateside will get him ready for whatever challenge arises if everything goes as expected January 15.”

NEW YORK (Mai 3, 2019) –Der Mittelgewichts-Anwärter Chris Pearson erzielte einen großen Sieg über den zuvor ungeschlagenen Olympiasieger Yamaguchi Falcao in einem 10-Runden-Kampf bei The Joint im Hard Rock in Las Vegas.


Der Sieg brachte Pearson den WBO Latino Middleweight Titel ein.


Pearson boxte sehr gut, als er Falcao verwirrte, und schlug den ehemaligen Amateurstar während des gesamten Wettbewerbs konsequent.


Pearson, der bereits einen Sieg über Falcao in der World Series of Boxing hielt, wiederholte das Urteil von 2011 durch die Verwendung einer guten Kopfgeschwindigkeit, bei der die Punktekarten der Richter gelesen wurden 97-93 und 96-94 zweimal.


Der Sieg wird Pearson einen hohen Rang in der WBO einbringen, und verbessert das Trotwood, Ohio gebürtiger Rekord zu 17-2.


Dies war der dritte Sieg in Folge für Pearson, Wer wird von Split-T Management verwaltet.


“Mein Plan war es, geduldig zu sein und das Tempo zu kontrollieren. Ich konnte davon profitieren, dass er etwas langsamer war als ich,” sagte Pearson. “Dieser Sieg bringt mich dorthin zurück, wo ich sein muss.”


“Ich bin mit diesem Sieg gesegnet,” fuhr Pearson fort. “Niemand kennt die Prüfungen, die ich durchlaufen habe. Wenn ich jemand sein kann, der inspiriert, dann werde ich glücklich sein. Ich werde mich ein paar Tage ausruhen und dann gleich wieder ins Fitnessstudio gehen.”

Falcao tops Espadas in Vegas; ready to face anybody at 160

Plant City, FL (Juli 23, 2018) – Highly rated middleweight and 2012 Olympic medalist Yamaguchi Falcao, 16-0 (7 KO), moved further up the rankings by outpointing WBO #14 Elias Espadas, 17-4 (12 KO), über zehn Runden.

 

 

 

The bout took place Saturday, Juli 21 im Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas just prior to an HBO world title doubleheader.

 

 

 

Representing his native Brazil but living and fighting out of Plant City, FL, Falcao got off to a quick start by dropping his Yucatan, Mexico based foe in the second round with a crisp two punch combo. Falcao, a skilled boxer-puncher, battled through a rough and often dirty fight featuring headbutts, low blows and excessive holding. Falcao and Espadas did have some solid exchanges with both men landing nice shots, though Falcao was the more consistent fighter.

 

 

 

In the 10th round, Falcao hurt his foe with a right hook and backed him up against the ropes but the game Espadas weathered the storm until the final bell.

 

 

 

Scores waren 96-92 zweimal und 95-93 for Falcao.

 

 

 

“I’m happy to get the victory even though it was a complicated and frustrating fight,“Sagte Falcao, who ended Espadas’ 8 fight win streak. “It felt like I had to fight the referee and the crowd too but getting the win is what matters most.”

 

Ready, willing and able to face any middleweight on the planet, Falcao’s hoping his next fight comes against one of the division’s best.

 

 

 

“We want a title fight and it doesn’t matter which champion. I know this wasn’t the prettiest fight but I’m 100 percent confident I’ve got the skills to challenge anybody willing to give me the opportunity.”

 

 

 

Jody Caliguire of Team Falcao was equally frustrated with the bout but is ready to put his fighter against anybody in the world.

 

 

 

“That was a frustrating bout with a lot of dirty tactics. With Espadas out of the way, we’ve got our sights set on the best opponents we can face. Yamaguchi was prepared to face Demetrius Andrade before his situation and nobody else wanted to fight him so that should tell you how serious Team Falcao is. I’ve heard David Lemieux, a fighter we were in camp with last year, is going to be on the Canelo-Golovkin undercard in September and we’d gladly face him.”

Plant City, FL (April 2, 2018) - Rising Star und WBC #13 bewerten Mittel Yamaguchi Falcao erzielte eine achte Runde Entscheidung über harten Veteran Richar Gutierrez Samstag einseitig, März 31 an der Marina Bay SportsPlex in Quincy, MA.

 

 

 

 

 

Kämpfen vor einem nationalen Publikum auf ESPN2, bekam der Kampf zu einem fremden Start, als Gutierrez falsch mit einem Zuschlag in den ersten Sekunden nach dem Treten auf Falcao Fuß dann landet einen Schlag gutgeschrieben wurde. Die 2012 Olympiasieger sofort wieder auf den Beinen stand und machte Gutierrez zahlen den Preis von Glocke zu Glocke.

 

 

 

 

Falcao dominierte den Kampf mit harten Jabs und knackig gerade lefts, einen Zuschlag in den abschließenden Momente des fünften erziehlt. Das Spiel Gutierrez versucht Falcao abzuschütteln, indem sie regelmäßig Clinchen und toben Taktik war aber erfolglos.

 

 

 

 

Scores waren 79-73, 78-72 und 78-71.

 

 

 

 

Falcao ist jetzt 15-0 mit 7 KO und Gutierrez fällt auf 30-18-2 (19 KO).
