World Ranked Yenifel Vicente Motivated To Face World Champion Isaac Dogboe

The explosive World Boxing Organization (WBO) Interim Latino Jr. Featherweight champion, Yenifel “El Rayo” Vicente (33-3-2, 25 KOs), of the Dominican Republic, is hopeful that he’ll face WBO world champion Isaac Dogboe (20-0, 14 KOs) of Ghana.

“I’m ready for a world title fight against the WBO world champion Dogboe. If we face each other, it will be a Fight Of The Year candidate because of our aggressive styles. We both like to go there and expect a war, and at the same time, we are not afraid of it. What better way than to give the fans an intense war? Let’s do it”, said Vicente, who is ranked number 10 in the WBO.

“If I have to fight in Ghana, United States or in England, which is where Dogboe trains, I’m more than available to do it. I still remember the negative comments that the Dogboe team made about the Latinos heading on the Magdaleno fight. That’s additional motivation to fight him. I heard Dogboe is looking for a opponent to fight in December. I’m always available!”, exclaimed Vicente, who trains in Puerto Rico, under the supervision of Freddy Trinidad, and Yoel González at the Caimito Boxing Gym, located in the capital city, San Juan.

Vicente has eight wins in a row by way of knockout, which includes the Knockout of the Year in the Premier Boxing Championship over the favorite and then undefeated Juan “Baby Tito” Domínguez, who was knocked out in the 3rd round.

In his penultimate bout, held in April in Colombia, Vicente was crowned WBO Interim Latino Champion after defeating via 4th round technical knockout the local Walberto Ramos. Last August, Vicente successfully defended his title by knocking out Mexican Andrés García in the second round in Panamá.

Vicente is promoted by DiBella Entertainment and managed by Spartan Boxing Club.

Ukrainian Korean Puncher Arnold Khegai Sets His Sights on WBO Champ Isaac Dogboe

Based on his performance this past weekend, it would be understandable for most of the world’s 122-lb fighters to want to avoid UK-based WBO Super Bantamweight Champion Isaac Dogboe… Not Arnold Khegai.

Khegai, the ethnic Korean, Ukrainian-born #12-rated WBO contender, is calling out Dogboe.

“I feel I am the best super bantamweight in the world!” said the confident Khegai. “I want to prove my point by fighting the most avoided fighters in the division. Bring on Dogboe!”

Last Saturday night at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, California, the undefeated Dogboe (20-0, 14 KOs) scored an eye-opening TKO 1 over challenger Hidenori Otake of Japan. Dogboe looked to be a serious force while dominating his foe and dropping him twice with relative ease.

Khegai (13-0-1, 9 KOs) also wowed the boxing world in May of this year, with a dominant unanimous decision over well-respected contender Adam Lopez, live on Showtime.

“I know Isaac had an impressive victory and I commend him for that,” continued Khegai. “But I will gladly fight him. I know I can’t be beat at this weight and I’ll fight anyone to prove it.”

“Arnold is a blue-chip contender on his way to becoming a dominant name in the super bantamweight division,” said his promoter, Dmitriy Salita. “Not only does he have the skills and power, but most importantly, he has the desire to fight the best. That is a complete package.”

World ranked Yenifel Vicente comes out in defense of Latinos for derogatory comments by father / trainer of champion Isaac Dogboe

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – Renowned Dominican boxer Yenifel ‘El Rayo’ Vicente (31-3-2, 23 KO’s) has been aware of the expressions made by Paul Dogboe, father and trainer of the Interim World Boxing Organization champion (WBO) 122 pounds, Isaac Dogboe (18-0, 12 KO’s), who is scheduled to face WBO world champion, Mexican American, Jessie Magdaleno (25-0, 18 KO’s), on April 28 in Philadelphia .

Paul Dogboe had expressed that his son not only will defeated Magdaleno, but deported the Mexican-American born in Las Vegas after the victory by throwing it on the wall that divides both countries and in the celebration, they will present the world title to the President of the United States, Donald Trump.

“If Dogboe defeats Magdaleno, I will ask my promoter Lou DiBella to fight him,” said Yenifel Vicente.

“If we have to fight in Ghana, we will be ready to travel and put the Latinos and people who respect others regardless of their race with a big victory for them. Those comments create hatred and divisions. We live in a world where we all breathe the same air and we are the same. I will not allow them to insult our Mexican brothers and others who work hard in search of a better quality of life, “said Yenifel Vicente.

Vicente has won six consecutive bouts, including the PBC’s Knockout of the Year, a three-round knockout over the undefeated favorite, Juan ‘Baby Tito’ Dominguez.

Vicente’s manager, Raúl Patrana, President of the ‘Spartan Boxing Club’, is willing to help with the fight.

“If Dogboe wins, we are willing to make the necessary arrangements so that Dogboe’s first defense can be against Vicente who is ranked 12th in the WBO and of course in the best coliseum available in Ghana. We wish the best of luck to Magdaleno. At the end, we hope both fighters make a good fight for the fans and leave healthy after that”.
