NOVICE CLASS FINALS RESULTS FROM LOWELL
ЛОВЕЛЛ, Маса. (Фебруар 19, 2016) – Fourteen 2016 New England Tournament of Champions winners were crowned last night in the novice class of 70тх annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Team Central produced the most individual winners with seven, followed by Team Western with five, and Team Central had two.
The unofficial fight of the night was between Salem, MA welterweight Kenny Larson (Team Central) and his Dorchester, MA opponent Jarrod LoMax (Team Southern), in which Larson won a three-round decision, 3-2.
Портланд, ME bantamweight Christian Morales (Team Northern) continued his performance run in the tournament, winning a three-round decision, 5-0, over hometown Lowell favorite Marquis Fowler (Team Central) Моралес’ impressive showings in the tournament will lead him into an open division spot in next week’s New Englands.
In a Central N.E. (Greater Lowell) heavyweight final rematch, due to a round-time issue, Methuen’s Jesus Flores (Canal Street Boxing) defeated Haverhill’s John Roche (Haverhill Downtown Boxing) by the same score as their original match in another thrilling, back-and-forth bout ending a in three-round decision (5-0). The crosstown rivalry between the two gyms and boxers led up to another compelling match with Flores qualifying for Среда night’s open class semifinals of the New England Tournament of Champions.
The New England Tournament of Champions open class semifinals and finals will be held next Wednesday и Четвртакevenings, односно, at Lowell Memorial Auditorium.

Jeter Promotions signs undefeated Welterweight Steve Weimer

York, ПА (Фебруар 17, 2016) – Jeter Promotions is pleased to announce the signing of undefeated Welterweight prospect Steve Weimer to an exclusive promotional contract.
Weimer of York, ПА. има евиденцију 9-0 with two knockouts and is looking to get back in the ring following a four-year hiatus.
Weimer did not leave the ring because of the usual boxing stereotypes, but he took some time off to get his college degree. Weimer graduated from York College with a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology.

Tony Jeter is a Middleweight contender who twice cracked the world rankings and fought Chris Eubank Jr. for the WBA Interim Middleweight title. ЛОВЕЛЛ, Маса. (Фебруар 11, 2016) – Team Central had the edge in last night’s novice class semifinals of the New England Tournament of Champions, part of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, at Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Team Central had five individual winners, followed by Team South and Team West with three victories and Team North had two. The novice class finals of the N.E. Tournament of Champions will be held Четвртак, Јан. 18 at Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
The Fight of the Night was the light heavyweight match of the novice class as Team South’s Henry Ventura (Н. Dartmouth, Мр) overcame two knockdowns to defeat Team North’s Tyler Jacques (Ст. Albans, , ВТ) who was dropped once and also had a standing eight count, by way of a unanimous decision (5-0).

(Фебруар 2, 2016) – Thirty-eight surviving amateur boxers will compete in 19 scheduled matches this Thursday night (Јан. 4) the Central New England (Greater Lowell) final round, open and novice divisions, of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
All CNE finals winners will advance to the New England Tournament of Champions, also held at Lowell Memorial Auditorium, касније овог месеца.

ЛОВЕЛЛ, Маса. (Јануар 29, 2016) – For the second week in a row all 13 matches went the three-round distance in last night’s Central New England (Greater Lowell) semifinals round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, featuring open and novice class action, at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Returning New England welterweight champion Ксавиер Вега, representing Canal Street Boxing in Lawrence (Мр), била 4-1 winner against Michael Fontenez, of Nashua, НХ.
Peter Welch’s Gym in South Boston led the hit parade with three winners, all in the novice class: лак Jonathan Depina, велтер категорија Lipi Fernandes и средњој Брајан Лоренс. The Lowell West End Gym was the only other with more than one winner last night, both in the open class, лак Brandon Higgins and light welterweight Jeremiah Perez.

(Јануар 25, 2016) – Returning New England Golden Gloves welterweight champion Ксавиер Вега, од Лавренце (Мр), leads a host of talented open and novice class amateur boxers into this Thursday night’s (Јан. 8) in the Central New England (Greater Lowell) semifinals of the 70тх annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
The 21-year-old Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing, faces Nashua (НХ) изазивач Michael Fontanez in one of eight open class matches. There are also eight novice class matches scheduled.
Vega, who has a 33-3 аматер запис, didn’t start boxing until he was 17 because he has only one kidney. A construction worker by day, Vega hopes to become a professional boxer and, ако не, a Lawrence police officer in order to give back to his community.

ЛОВЕЛЛ, Маса. (Јануар 23, 2016) – The Central New England (Greater Lowell) quarterfinals round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship was held last night at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium with 13 highly competitive matches in the novice class.
Све 13 matches went the three-round distance for 39 rounds of action that the large crowed enjoyed from start to finish. The super heavyweight match between Dorchester’s 381-pound Ivens Derival and Haverhill’s 266-pound Kyle Davis was of special especially because of their respective sizes. Davis won by way of a three-round decision, 4-1, in a back-and-forth match that had fans standing throughout.
The CNE semifinals, featuring open and novice class matches, will be heldnext Thursday ноћ (Јан. 28) at Lowell Memorial Auditorium. See the complete 2016 schedule below as well as last night’s results.

The season ticket also includes the Novice and Open class New England Tournament of Champions. Proceeds from the Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship go towards sending the New England Golden Gloves champions to the National Golden Gloves Championship (2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah), in addition to supporting local athletes and area gyms, the Boys & Гирлс Цлуб, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, cancer funds, scholarships and many other great charitable causes.
