Sampson Boxing to Donate Proceeds from Second Event in One Week to Victims of Mexico Earthquake

And once again, Sampson Boxing President, Sampson Lewkowicz, with his partner, Pat Holmes of Holmes Boxing, will be donating $1 from every one of the 1500 tickets to the already sold-out show to victims of the recent Mexico City Earthquake. Last Tuesday night in Las Vegas, Lewkowicz’s “Cuba vs.. Mexico” event was able to raise close to $7000 for Mexico City and this event is projected to contribute another $9000 between ticket proceeds and Carlos Slim Foundation’s welcome assistance.
“I am very proud to be able to help the victims of this terrible disaster in Mexico City,” Said Sampson Lewkowicz. “I want to thank my wonderful partners in New Mexico, Brandon Holmes and Pat Holmes Jr., from Holmes Boxing, for agreeing to do this with me. They are a class act and great people to work with. The fights in New Mexico are sold out and this is looking to be a sensational competition between some of the two countries’ best fighters.”

An accomplished amateur representing Kaunas, Litauen, Stanionis is looking to become the next Eastern European fighter to make a splash in the U.S. The 23-year-old had a 141-19 record as an amateur and earned four senior national championships before winning gold at the European Olympic Qualifier to earn his trip to the 2016 Games. A gold medalist at welterweight at the 2015 European Amateur Boxing Championships, Stanionis has impressed with knockouts in his first three starts since turning pro in April, including a first round destruction of Oscar Valenzuela in September.
Part of the fighting Santa Cruz family, the 21-year-old Santa Cruz put together a four-bout winning streak heading into this year before losing a close fight to Jonathan Arturo Torres in May. (Syv. 28, 2017) – Undefeated two-time junior middleweight world champion, Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade makes his return to HBO® when he takes on undefeated Alantez Fox in a 12 round middleweight bout that will take place on Saturday, October 21st from Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York.
The bout will be the live co-feature of an HBO Boxing After Dark tripleheader card that will feature Jazreel Corrales defending the WBA World Super Featherweight Title against undefeated Alberto Machado and Ryan Burnett taking on Zhanat Zhakiyanov (tape forsinkelse) in a Bantamweight Unification Bout. The HBO telecast will begin at 10:05 p.m. OG/PT.

Andrade of Providence, Rhode Island was a 2008 United Sates Olympian, og 2007 World Amateur Champion. His success has continued in the professional ranks, as he has a perfect professional resume with a record of 24-0 med 16 knockouts.
Andrade, 29 years-old captured the WBO World Junior Middleweight crown with a 12-round split decision over fellow Olympian and previously undefeated Vanes Martirosyan on November 9, 2013. Andrade defended the title with a sensational 7th round stoppage of mandatory challenger Brian Rose.
On marts 11, 2017, Andrade became a two-time world champion when he won the WBA World Junior Middleweight Championship with a 12-round split decision over reigning champion Jack Culcay in Ludwigshafen, Tyskland.

ENNIS, LEE AND DARANYI BACK IN ACTION OCTOBER 14TH IN WASHINGTON DC

WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 28, 2017 – Three of Victory Boxing Promotions’ top prospects return to the ring on October 14th på Eastern Market National Hall i Washington, DC, after seeing a very busy year to date. Jaron “støvler” Ennis (15-0, 13KO), Brandun Lee (6-0, 5KO) og Adam Daranyi (12-0, 11KO) all look to keep the momentum moving as they enter the last part of the year. Ennis and Lee both secured wins in Hammond, Indiana last weekend. Ennis faced Lionel Jimenez in a scheduled six round bout that didn’t make it past the first round. Daranyi is also coming off a knockout win. He stopped North Carolina veteran Andre Baker in the sixth round of their bout last July.

“Adrian Granados is as tough as they come and while he may lack the name recognition of Porter, he should not be overlooked,” sagde Tom Brown, Formand for TGB Promotions. “You look at his record and he has five losses, but those five losses are three split decisions and two majority decisions and the two draws that are split draws. This is another huge opportunity for him. Adrian feels he’s paid his dues and belongs in a fight of this magnitude.”
The 10-round welterweight match against Granados will be Porter’s fourth fight at Barclays Center. Porter won the welterweight title in his debut at the arena with a unanimous decision over Devon Alexander on Dec. 7, 2013. He lost a narrow decision to unified welterweight champion Keith Thurman in a 2016 Fight of the Year candidate in Brooklyn, and scored a TKO victory against former welterweight champion Andre Berto in his last fight on April 22 in front of the Barclays Center faithful.
The 29-year-old Porter (27-2-1, 17 KOS), who was born in Akron, Ohio and now lives in Las Vegas, remains one of the top welterweights in the division and aims to secure another title shot with a strong performance against Granados.
“To be fighting on an undercard for a Deontay Wilder fight is nothing short of excellent,” Said Porter. “I’m excited and looking forward to this opportunity. Against Granados I’m getting into the ring with someone who is very established as an amateur and a professional, has great skills and isn’t going to go in there and lay down. That’s always going to bring out the best in me, and that’s always going to create a very exciting match-up. I know that when I do what I’m planning to do, it’s going to be exciting, entertaining and fill the seats.”
Adrian Granados (18-5-2, 12 KOS), af Chicago, is accustomed to tough assignments and is known for delivering exciting toe-to-toe action. The 28-year-old has been in with Felix Diaz, losing a close majority decision in 2014, and then unbeaten Amir Imam, whom he defeated by TKO in 2015 when Imam was the top contender at 140-pounds. Granados went punch for punch with Adrien Broner in his last match, but came up just short, losing a split decision in Broner’s hometown of Cincinnati on Februar. 18.
“I’m very excited to be fighting one of the best welterweights in the world in Shawn Porter,” said Granados. “With our styles it’s going to be fireworks from the opening bell. I was getting ready for a fight in October but when this opportunity arose I jumped at it. It’s a tremendous card to be fighting on with the whole world watching and I’m looking to
put on a great performance.”
The 28-year-old Sergey Lipinets (12-0, 10 KOS) is a former kickboxer from Russia who has been waiting nearly a year for his opportunity to fight for a world championship. Lipinets has only been the distance twice in his pro career and he earned his title shot with an eighth-round knockout of Lenny Zappavigna in a title eliminator last December. This will be his third fight this year after he stopped Komsan Polsan in March and defeated Yuya Okazaki by TKO in May.
Former world champion Bermane Stiverne (25-2-1, 21 KOS) is coming off a two-year absence from the ring. Stiverne, 38, became the first Haitian-born boxer to win the heavyweight title when he defeated Chris Arreola in May of 2014. He lost the title to Wilder by decision on January of 2015 i Las Vegas. In his last fight Stiverne, who moved from Canada and now resides in Las Vegas, Nev., defeated Derric Rossy via decision.
The 32-year-old Dominic Breazeale (18-1, 16 KOS) var medlem af den 2012 US. Philadelphia, PA (September 28, 2017) – Below is the video and images from Torsdagenspress conference in conjunction with Fredag night’s big King’s Promotions boxing card at the 2300 Arena i Philadelphia.
The show will be televised LIVE on Eleven Sports beginning at 9 PM ET. The 1st bout at the 2300 Arena is at 7:15.
Main event fighters Christian Carto and Alonso Melendez were joined by undefeated Mykal Fox, Jerome Conquest and Brandon Robinson, who discussed their respective bouts.

NEW YORK (Syv. 27, 2017) – Having recently eclipsed the 750,000-view milestone through the first four months of the series, Facebook FIGHTNIGHT LIVE will showcase top-notch talent for the fourth time during the month of September på torsdag, partnering once again with Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing to deliver free fisticuffs to fight fans everywhere. NEWARK, N.J. (September 27, 2017) – Hard-hitting Polish contender Mateusz Masternak (39-4, 26 KOS) will battle once-beaten Stivens Bujaj (16-1-1, 11 KOS) in a 10-round World Boxing Super Series cruiserweight reserve match on Lørdag, Oktober 21 på Prudential Center i Newark, N.J.
Additional action will feature a 10-round super welterweight bout between unbeaten Polish contender Maciej Sulecki (25-0, 10 KOS) og tidligere titel udfordrer Jack Culcay (22-2, 11 KOS).

“In my top form I know that I can beat better fighters than Bujaj,” said Masternak. “I don’t think he can hurt me. Every fight is important, boxing teaches you that every day. But Bujaj is a stepping stone for me to bigger fights. He is saying that he beat me in sparring a few years ago, but how well could it have gone if he departed faster than he arrived? I have no time to make a mistake and lose a fight like this so I will be ready for anything when we enter the ring.”
Fighting out of Wroclaw, Polen, Masternak has fought a slew of top champions and challengers in the cruiserweight division and enters this fight the winner of his last three contests. The 30-year-old has battled Tony Bellew, Grigory Drozd and Youri Kalenga while also picking up the European cruiserweight championship with a victory over Juho Haapoja. Masternak has fought in nine countries throughout his career and returns to the fight the U.S. for the first time since his fourth pro bout in 2006.
“Get ready to see the best Stivens Bujaj ever,” said Bujaj. “I’ve been training two, sometimes three times a day. I’ve been in this sport since I was 15 år, and it all comes down to this moment. This is my world championship. It’s going to be the fight of my life and I’m ready to do whatever it takes. I’ve sparred Masternak before and I dominated for eight rounds and they sent me home. I’m ready to finish what I started onOktober 21!”
An Albanian fighter living in New York, Bujaj was a two-time New York Golden Gloves champion before turning pro in 2010 and going unbeaten in his first 18 pro bouts. The 27-year-old won three times in 2016, including a victory over then unbeaten Sergio Ramirez before dropping a bout to undefeated Constantin Bejenaru. Bujaj has been hampered by injuries during his career but returns to the ring healthy and ready to resume his climb to the top of the division.
Representing Warsaw, Polen, Sulecki pulled off his most impressive victory to date last year when he stopped then unbeaten contender Hugo Centeno Jr. i 10th and final round of their fight. The 28-year-old has picked up victories over Damiam Bonelli and Michi Munoz since then as he seeks a world title at 154-pounds. Sulecki will return to Prudential Center for the second time after knocking out Jose Miguel Berrio in 2015 at the venue in Newark.
Culcay was originally born in Ecuador but grew up in Germany and in 2008 he represented the Germans at the 2008 OL. The 32-year-old was dominant in winning his first 14 pro fights and picking up the WBA inter-continental super welterweight title. Culcay put together another seven-fight winning streak and won the WBA interim super welterweight title before dropping a world title bout to Demetrius Andrade by close split-decision in March.
