PRESSER QUOTES
Sal Musumeci, CEO of The Real Deal Boxing: “We’re honored to be here in Rhode Island. So many champs come through here and we’re here for that reason and its great boxing fans. I’ve been promoting 20 years with more than 400 shows worldwide. I know where we want to go to places with people who appreciate boxing.
Evander and I got together to put together The Real Deal Boxing because we want the same shows, two warriors in the ring, and that’s what you’re going to see Dydd Gwener night at The Stand. Thanks for accepting is here. Toka is a great inspiration. When I first heard his story, my COO (Eric Bentley) sad we need to sign him. He’s in a tough fight. Toka accepted the challenge because he believes he’ll be world champion.
Turchi is an undefeated cruiserweight who will grow into a heavyweight. An Italian heavyweight like the great Rocky Marciano who fought in providence so many times.
I guarantee ar ddydd Gwener night you’ll see the most competitive fights in Providence in many years.
Evander Holyfield: “I’m honored to be here. A big part of me being a promoter is how can I help boxing? I started at eight, when I was told I’d be like Ali. I believed that, but I had to ask my mother (permission to box). I was a four-time heavyweight world champion, but I also had my ups and downs. I tell them (my fighters), if they listen and ask me for advice, I will tell them. The problems today with millennials is that there’s really nobody to tell them. Just ask me, I tell them.
I bring a lot to boxing, but I won’t say I will make my fighters champions. I will give them an opportunity to be champion. I had opportunities and never quit. If you set goals and you don’t quit, you’ll reach that goal. Correct your mistakes and don’t quit. These fighters need to believe in me but, more importantly, they need to believe in themselves. I can give them advice because I’ve done it. I’m on their side.
Toka Kahn-Clary: I want to thank Evander, Sal and everybody on my team for having me fight in my state. I also want to thank my manger, trainer and Dan Crotty. Rwy'n falch o gael bod yma. Boxing isn’t easy, but it is the path I’ve chosen. I’m fighting here on national television, representing my city and state.
I’m going to put on a show December 1st. It’s not going to be easy but I’m going in the ring to give it my all. I can’t wait to fight!”
Seth DeRobbio, manager of Toka Kahn-Clary, Irvin Gonzalez, Nick DeLomba & Timmy Ramos:
I want to thank Sal and Evander for giving Providence good fights. This is a great opportunity for Toka, who is fighting a 19-0 gwrthwynebydd, setting up a 2018 to be a big year for him. Gobeithio, we’ll be bringing something very big to Providence, hefyd. You won’t know who is going to win Dydd Gwener night until the fights are over.
Peter Manfredo, Sr., head trainer for Kahn-Clary: “I’d like to thank Evander, Seth, the whole crew (The Real Deal Boxing). When Seth mentioned signing Toka with Evander, I soon learned that they take care of their fighters, no BS. Listen to them and you’ll make it to the top.
Toka Kahn-Clary is the best fighter I’ve ever had, I’ve had a lot of good ones. Toka is always in condition, he works hard and has an iron chin. He wants to be a legend and I’m going to do everything to help him.
Fabio Turchi:I’m really happy to be here. I want to thank Real Deal Boxing for having faith in me. I will try to do my best to put on a great show. The people here mean a lot to me and I want to make the Italian-Americans here in Providence proud of me.
Nick DeLomba: I want to thank Evander for putting me on this card. I grew up watching his fights on video; he is my idol and I’m honored to be fighting on his card. Rwy'n dod i ymladd. My opponent is a tough fighter who’ll bring his best.

Dyma beth oedd gan y wasg cyfranogwyr y gynhadledd i ddweud Dydd Mercher:
ERROL SPENCE JR.
You’re going to see the same Errol Spence that you’re used to. I can’t look ahead because I know how dangerous Lamont Peterson is. I’ve been in training camps with him and I know what he can do.
I’ve seen too many fighters look down the road and get beat before they get to the big fight. I have to be 100 percent focused and hungry. I’m fully dedicated to this fight.
Lamont can push me to even greater levels. I feel like he is a better fighter than Kell Brook and has even more heart than Kell Brook and he can bring out the best in me.
I think it’s going to start out as a boxing match, but as we go on, it’s going to be a dog fight. We both have big hearts. I’ve never known Lamont to turn down any fight. Not a lot of people wanted to fight me. The big names shied away from me but Lamont stood up and said he’d fight me. This is going to be a hard fight.
I used to watch Lamont and his brother Anthony Peterson before I ever met them. I like their styles, the way they throw body punches and the fundamentals that they learned from Barry Hunter.
I think I can be known as the best pound-for-pound in the sport, but I have to take it one fight at a time. I want to be the undisputed welterweight champion. That should be everyone’s ultimate goalto be the best fighter in the sport. But first I have a big test ahead of me Ionawr 20.
This is the business of the sport. I was a young guy when Lamont was giving me advice. Now we’ve gotten to this point. It really shows his longevity in the sport and how I’ve reached the ranks of being a top pro fighter.
Sparring with Lamont Peterson was really great work. Roedd yn brofiad dysgu. I was an amateur so I was going at a fast pace and Lamont was being patient, blocking and countering and picking his shots. He was fighting at a pro pace and I didn’t really understand it until I got farther into my career.
You’ve seen me and Lamont fight. We’re not in boring fights. We have fan-friendly styles and you’re going to get a really good fight. We have the mentality to really go after it and give it our all to get this win.
I want the best in this division to all fight each other. It’s time for everyone else to stand up and proclaim that they want to be great. That’s how we get this division to the peak. I don’t feel like waiting to fight the best. I want to prove myself.
LAMONT PETERSON
This is a world title fight and I’m thankful for that. I try not to make too much out of each fight. I just want to take it one fight at a time. I’ve done this for 13 years as a professional. All fights are the same. I’m going to go in there and take care of business.
As a top fighter, you’re obligated to take what comes on the table. Regardless of who it is. It’s boxing. It’s a sport and we’re competitors. We want to go in there and compete to see who’s the best. We’re going to treat it like business like we always do.
You already know when I fight, it’s a feeling out process to start, but in my head, Rwy'n barod i fynd. It’s going to get rough in the trenches and we’ll see who wants it more.
I knew six years ago when Errol was in my camp that we’d get to this point. I knew he would be a champion. Ar gyfer y rhan fwyaf, I’ve seen him improve and progress throughout the pro ranks and I believe he’s going to keep getting better.
I don’t pay any attention to the outside noise. I respect everyone’s opinion. I just go out and train to do what I love to do. I do this because I love to box. I’m not here to get on a list. I truly love this sport.
I can’t worry about people thinking that Errol is the next star in this sport. I believe that, but I can’t worry about it. It is up to me and my team to come up with the right type of strategy and execute it.
I’m not too worried about figuring out his southpaw stance. I’ve been around long enough and encountered enough southpaws. I’m confident I’ll be able to handle it.
The size may seem like an advantage for Errol, but it’s up to me and my team to figure out the best way to negate it. I know who I am. I’m a competitive person. Regardless of everything, I’m going to come to win.
DERRICK JAMES, Hyfforddwr Spence yn
We have a game plan in place. We’ll try to perfect everything leading up to this one. We’re working on making Errol a more complete fighter every time out. He’ll be better than he was when you saw him against Brook.
We’re looking for the perfect fight. It takes a great fighter to bring out the greatness in another great fighter. These guys are high caliber fighters and it’s about as good a matchup as you can have in the division.
These are two guys with the mentality to go after it. But they also have technical skill. This is going to be an old school fight between guys with real skills.
It’s one thing to do it, but it’s another to teach. I’ve really understood this sport since I became a trainer. Fighters are developed, not born. I’m going to keep working with these guys on the fundamentals so we can bring up the whole sport.
BARRY HUNTER, Hyfforddwr Peterson
When I look at Errol Spence, I instantly fell in love with him because he reminded me of Lamont so much. They both have that dog mentality. I’ve always known he was a special fighter.
Lamont told me when he worked with Errol that he really liked the kid. He knew he would be a world champion. I had to remind myself that this is business. We have to fight our friends.
These are the two guys who are ready to fight anybody. The fight on Ionawr 20 is going to be one to remember. It’s a fan-friendly fight.
Errol Spence is the best fighter in the welterweight division. You have athletes that can fight and athletes who are fighters. Errol and Lamont are both. They have the skills and they have the ability to fight.
To be the best in the world, you have to fight the best in the world. All the greats have done it. In order to get back to the glory days, we need to put the best against the best. I have confidence in Lamont Peterson against anybody.
LOU DIBELLA, Llywydd DiBella Adloniant
There are very few fights you could make that are better in the welterweight division than this fight. It’s going to take place at the home of big-time boxing, here at Barclays Center in Brooklyn and live on SHOWTIME.
Errol Spence is one of the most talked about fighters in the sport. Some think he could be the best fighter in the world. He’s consistently said he only wants to fight the best and on Ionawr 20 he will be fighting another champion and another great welterweight. Lamont Peterson never backs down from a challenge and we know he’ll be ready for this fight on Ionawr 20.
This is a great event that continues the run of significant meaningful matchups on SHOWTIME. It’s been great quality programming. The fight cards have all been incredibly easy to promote because the fights have been so strong. You have to make fights with great fighters battling other great fighters. That’s what we need to energize our fans and our sport.
STEPHEN ESPINOZA, Executive VP & Rheolwr Cyffredinol, Chwaraeon Showtime
As we come to the end of 2017 we look back on what has been a really strong year. 25 nights of live boxing, 80 live boxing matches and 27 ymladd teitl y byd. Not just title fights, but world title fights featuring top ranked challengers against top ranked champions.
We’ve brought you the most watched fight of the year in Keith Thurman vs. Danny Garcia right here at Barclays Center on CBS. It was also the most watched primetime boxing match in nearly 20 flynyddoedd. But we will not be resting on our laurels.
We’ll kick off next year with an incredibly strong card. Errol Spence has grown up on SHOWTIME and we’re proud of that. He made his debut on ShoBox and won his world title on SHOWTIME. He has knocked out nine straight opponents and in his last five fights his opponents have an impressive record of 141-7-3.
Not a lot of fighters are rushing to fight Errol Spence. Lamont Peterson not only stepped up to the challenge, but he relinquished his welterweight title to take this fight. That’s the kind of fighter he is. He has one of the strongest resumes in the division and he’s fought the best guys in the sport.
We’re thrilled to kick off the year with this matchup. It’s another great fight in the welterweight division, a division we’ve been paying a lot of attention to for years. We’ll see you on Ionawr 20.”
BRETT YORMARK, Prif Swyddog Gweithredol Brooklyn Sports & Adloniant
We’re coming off of an incredible 2017 for BROOKLYN BOXING. It far exceeded my expectations. We’re very committed to boxing, not just now, but in the future. This fight kicks off what I think will be a great 2018 for BROOKLYN BOXING.
Lamont was on the first ever PBC card at Barclays Center in 2015 and Brooklyn is happy to have you back. Errol was here in the spring of 2016 and we’ve had him as a fan several times, but we far prefer having you here in the ring.
Barclays Center is known for hosting 50-50 fights and this is no different. We’re thrilled to be holding this event here in Brooklyn. We look forward to seeing you on Ionawr 20.”

Philadelphia, PA (Tachwedd 29, 2017) – Buont yn ymladd fel amaturiaid, ac mae'r ddau yn cael eu hystyried ymhlith y pwysau canol gwych gorau yn y ddinas.
Mae hyn Dydd Gwener nos, Mae Brandon Robinson a Christopher Brooker yn cyfarfod fel gweithwyr proffesiynol a allai ffurfio pwl o gyd-nodwedd ffrwydrol o 12 cerdyn ymladd yn y

2300 Arena yn Philadelphia.
Mae'r ornest wyth rownd ar gyfer teitl UBF All-Americas.
Mae'r sioe wedi'i llwytho yn cael ei hyrwyddo, fy King's Promotions.
Bydd y prif ddigwyddiad pwll Tyrone Brunson (25-6-2, 23 Kos) erbyn Woods Manny (16-6-1, 6 Kos) o St Petersburg, Florida mewn pwl pwysau canol iau wedi'i drefnu ar gyfer deg rownd.
“Mae hyfforddiant wedi bod yn wych. Dyma'r gwersyll gorau i mi ei gael ers troi dwylo proffesiynol i lawr,” meddai Robinson.
Er y gallai hyn fod yn frwydr arloesol ar gyfer 29 Robinson oed, Mae wedi bod yn edrych ar Brooker yn ddim gwahanol nag unrhyw elyn blaenorol.
“Rwy'n edrych ar bob ymladd fel ymladd mawr. Rwy'n gweld pob ymladd fel pe bawn yn ymladd yn erbyn Canelo neu Golovkin, felly rwy'n cael fy hunan yn y siâp gorau y gallaf fod.”
Gan eu bod yn yr un ddinas, y mae yr hanes crybwylledig rhwng y ddau ymladdwr.
“Buom yn ymladd fel amaturiaid, ac enillais y frwydr honno. Gan fod y, rydym wedi sparred cwpl o weithiau, ac y mae hyny wedi rhoddi adroddiad mawr ysgoi arno, a gadewch i ni ddweud fy mod yn teimlo'n gyffyrddus iawn yn y frwydr hon.”
Nid yw ymladd yn erbyn ymladdwr Philly arall yn ddim byd newydd i Robinson gan ei fod eisoes â buddugoliaeth dros Lamont McLaughlin.
“Rwyf wedi bod trwy hyn, ac y mae y math yma o ymladdfeydd yn dwyn allan y goreu o honof, a chyda buddugoliaethar ddydd Gwener, bydd hyn yn agor llawer o ddrysau i mi nad oeddwn byth yn disgwyl iddynt gael eu hagor. Rwy'n edrych am berfformiad cyflawn, Bydd y cefnogwyr yn gweld pŵer yn y ddwy law, crefftusrwydd, cadfridog ffoniwch a chalon enfawr. Hoffwn ddiolch i King’s Promotions, ac rydw i'n edrych i fynd â theitl Pwysau Canol Mawr All-Americas UBF adref.”
Ar gyfer y 26 Brooker oed, mae wedi bod yma o'r blaen ond mae am ddod yn ôl yn y golofn fuddugoliaeth ar ôl colli i bwysau Ysgafn Trwm heb ei drechu Ahmed Elbiali mewn gornest a gymerodd ar fyr rybudd. 18 Gorffennaf.
“Cyrhaeddais yn iawn yn ôl yn y gampfa ar ôl y frwydr honno. Rwyf wedi bod yn gweithio i 12 wythnosau. Mae gen i hyfforddwr personol newydd Jermaine Clark a fy hyfforddwr newydd Octavio Pineda,” meddai Brooker.
Nid yw Brooker yn credu bod y golled amatur i Robinson yn golygu dim byd nos Wener.
“Ie, nid yw'n golygu dim. Hon oedd fy nhrydedd frwydr amatur. Roedd y sesiynau sparring yn dda. Fe wnes i eu trin fel fy mod i eisiau dial am golli iddo, ac rwy'n hyderus iawn ar ôl y sesiynau hynny. Mae'r frwydr hon i mi yn ymwneud â chael y gwregys hwn . Bydd pobl yn fy ngweld i'n ei orweithio ac yn rhagori arno.”
Mae Brooker wedi gwneud ei enw trwy'r cylchoedd bocsio gyda'i barodrwydd i ymladd a threchu unrhyw un unrhyw bryd. Ceir tystiolaeth o hynny gan ei fuddugoliaethau dros Leo Hall, John Magda, Antowyan Aikens a Gabriel Pham. Camodd Brooker i'r adwy hefyd i wynebu Elbiali, Ronald Gavril a Ronald Ellis, a daeth yn ffefryn ar deledu cenedlaethol oherwydd ei steil hoelion wyth.
“Dim ond boi arall o fy mlaen yw Robinson. Roeddwn i mewn ac yn trechu diffoddwyr llawer mwy profiadol nag ef. Nid oes ganddo ddim byd na welais i yn y fodrwy. Nid wyf yn edrych heibio iddo, Rwy'n edrych trwyddo. Roeddwn i'n curo Gavril cyn i'r ymladd gael ei atal yn anghyfiawn. Prin y collodd mewn ymgais am deitl byd a nawr mae'n cael ail-gyfateb ag ef, felly mae hynny'n dangos pa lefel ydw i arni. Yr wyf am y rematch hwnnw ynteu (Pencampwr CLlC) David Benevidez.”
“Rwy'n gwerthfawrogi King's Boxing ac mae'n anrhydedd i mi ymladd am wregys arall. Rwy'n gwerthfawrogi Brandon am lofnodi'r contract. Dydd Gwener mae nos yn frwydr fawr i mi, fy nheulu a fy holl gefnogwyr.

WORKOUT QUOTES
Evander Holyfield, Neuadd o Famer, Real Deal Boxing:There’s a lot of pressure fighting in a big fight for the first time at home. I remember my homecoming in Atlanta, back in 1985, and there were a lot of distractions. Everybody who knew my name showed up, most looking for free tickets. I was skeptical about ever fighting there again. Everybody’s different, though.
Toka may be our first world champion. He’s a very disciplined person who has been through a lot. I come from the ghetto but, when I heard his story, wow, I couldn’t believe his (life) was harder than mine.
Toka-Kahn-Clary: (Toka became a father for the first time on Nov. 11, when his wife, Devanni, delivered a 7-pound girl, Adaline) “Nawr, I’m fighting for my family, not just Toka anymore.
“Rwy'n teimlo'n dda. I had to have patience and faith in my craft to get here. If you keep working hard, doors will open, and when they do you have to jump right through. I want to win impressively, dominate the fight
I see a lot of top fighters in my weight class. I’m not going to name any until after this fight, but I have the talent to beat them.
I want to be recognized after I stop fighting, like Evander, who everybody knows, likes and respects.
Peter Manfredo, Sr., Pen hyfforddwr Kahn-Clary yn: “Toka is a top prospect who is becoming a contender. A lot of fighters don’t even get to this point. This fight is a major opportunity to get him closer to where he wants to be, not just a world champion, but for his name to be remembered in boxing. He wants to be a legend. He has to remain focused because this is the first time he’ll have a big crowd behind him.
Fabio Turchi (Italian Amateur Champion) “Everybody here has been great, very hospitable. It’s such a great honor for me to fight in America with its great boxing tradition. I want to have a great fight to be embraced by Americans, especially here in Rhode Island. It’s beautiful having so many Italians, that gives me and added push to win.
Nick DeLomba: “This opportunity means the world to me because I’ll be showcasing my talents in front of my hometown fans. An impressive win will, hopefully, get me to the next level, in TV fights against bigger names.
Evander Holyfield being interviewed at today’s open workout in Cranston, RI by the three network affiliates
Holyfield will host the final press conference yfory (Wed.), gan ddechrau am 1 p.m. A, at Ladder 133 Sports Bar and Grill (133 Douglas Avenue) in Smith Hill, RI.
A public weigh in will be held Dydd Iau, gan ddechrau am 3:30 p.m. A (on scale at 4), at The Strand Ballroom and Theatre.
