Notícies WBO – Headline Matches For This Weekend

L'Organització Mundial de Boxa (OMB) will oversee seven headline bouts around the world this weekend, two of which are for world titles.

 

 

 

Starting Friday, Juny 8, a Verona, Nova York, WBO number one ranked Junior Featherweight Diego De La Hoya (20-0, 9 KOs) will defend his NABO 122 lbs title against José “Sucre” Salgado (35-4-2, 28 KOs) in a 10-round duel. The bout is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and will go on stage at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in the aforementioned city.

 

 

 

The fight will be televised live on ESPN3, a partir de 9:00 p.m. (Hora Del Aquest). ESPN2 will air the fights at 12:30 a.m. ET/9:30 p.m. PT. and ESPN Deportes will air the fights the following day at 9:00 p.m. I / 6:00 p.m. PT.

 

 

 

De La Hoya-Salgado will take place during the International Boxing Hall of Fame induction weekend, where “Dr. Ironfist” Vitali Klitschko, Erik “El Terrible” Moráles, and Ronald “Winky” Wright will be exalted, along with other important boxing figures such as Peter Kohl, Steve Albert, Jim Gray and Lorraine Chargin.

 

 

 

En dissabte, Juny 9 a Argentina, Facundo Galovar (10-2-1, 7 KOs), of Tucumán, and Rolando Mansilla (13-5-1, 5 KOs), of Entre Ríos, will face off for the vacant WBO Latino Super Middleweight belt in a scheduled 10 assalts. The card will take place at the Club Atlético Central Córdoba in San Miguel, as part of an event promoted by Argentina Boxing Promotions.

 

 

 

Also on Saturday, but in the Philippines, two WBO Jr. Featherweight title bouts will take place, when local pugilist Jeo “Santino” Santisima (15-2, 13 KOs) faces Likit Chane (16-6, 10 KOs), from Thailand, for the vacant WBO Oriental 122 lbs belt, and local Albert Pagara (29-1, 20 KOs), qui ocupa el lloc n. 9 per l'OMB, battles Laryea Gabriel Odoi (20-3-2, 14 KOs), de Ghana, for the vacant Inter-Continental Junior Featherweight title. The duel will be the main event of a card presented by Queensberry Promotions. The fight will be held at Manchester Arena. Flanagan and Hooker are ranked in the first and second positions, respectivament, at the Junior Welterweight division.

 

 

 

During his reign in the Lightweight division, Flanagan successfully defended the title five times.

 

 

 

The fight will be televised by BT Sports, on Showtime Boxing’s Facebook page, as well as in Showtime Sports’ YouTube Channel and Panama Cable Onda Sports beginning at4:30 p.m. I / 1:30 p.m. PT.

WBO #12-rated Buitrago (30-3-1, 17 KOs) has had four unsuccessful title challenges, losing three times, along with one draw. He was stopped for the first time in his last fight this past December, by undefeated International Boxing Federation (FIB) Minimumweight World Champion Hiroto Kyoguchi (8-0), in the eighth round of their title fight in Japan.

He is a raw boxer who relies only on the strength of his blows. I don’t believe that he will bring anything new into the ring and if they change him, the only thing that will accomplish is confuse him. I’m always emphasising my preparation. I’m coming in smart because I’m bringing the ability to work round for round. My only objective is to bring the world championship to Nicaragua.

Austràlia, Turquia, Japan and England to host WBO bouts

L'Organització Mundial de Boxa (OMB), chaired by Francisco ‘Paco’ Valcárcel, will have seven fights in different parts of the world this upcoming weekend.

 

Dissabte, Maig 19:

 

In Australia, there will be a duel of unbeatens when the popular Australian Liam Paro (13-0, 9 Nocauts) faces Sebastian Bytyqi (11-0-1, 8 Nocauts) of the Czech Republic for the vacant WBO Youth Jr. Welterweight title. La baralla està programada per al 10 rounds and it’ll take place at the Southport Sharks AFL Club in Southport.

 

“Paro and Bytyqi have the backing of world champions for this fight. Paro has been sparring with our WBO world champion Jeff Horn and in Bytyqi’s corner, he has Lukas Konecny, a former interim WBO champion and is the best fighter the Czech Republic has given so far”, va dir Valcárcel.

 

In Turkey, from the Spor Salonu in Trabzon, former world champion and WBO #2 Firat Arslan (47-8-2, 26 Nocauts) will face Isaac Paa Kwesi Ankrah (14-7, 12 Nocauts) of Ghana in a 10 round bout for the WBO Inter-Continental Jr. Heavyweight belt. Llavors, in duel of Englishmen, Darren Tetley (15-0, 6 Nocauts) will face Mason Cartwright (13-0-1, 5 Nocauts) for the vacant WBO welterweight European belt. The fight venue is the Elland Road Football Ground in Leeds.

The boxing movement of WBO regional titles continues, and will take place in Japan, where the WBO Asia-Pacific lightweight champion and #2 ranked Nihito Arakawa (31-6-1, 18 Nocauts) will put his title on the line against Filipino, Rimar Metuda (12-3, 7 Nocauts) in a bout that’ll take place in the Ota-City General Gymnasium.

Several of the fighters who will see action this weekend are close to going for a world title. Arakawa, Catterall, Arslan, Demirezen and Keles are very well ranked. Alemanya, Els Estats Units i Letònia són els amfitrions dels combats de l'OMB

L'Organització Mundial de Boxa (OMB), presidit per Francisco “Paco” Valcárcel, celebrarà cinc interessants lluites pel títol; dos dels quals són per als campionats del món. Els enfrontaments tindran lloc aquest dissabte, Maig 12.

 

 

 

Saddam "World Kid" Ali, natiu de Brooklyn (26-1, 14 Nocauts), arribant a la victòria més important de la seva carrera davant el mític boxejador porto-riqueny Miguel Cotto, fa la primera defensa del seu títol mundial de pes mitjà júnior de l'OMB, quan s'enfronta al perillós mexicà Jaime Munguía (28-0, 24 Nocauts). La lluita tindrà lloc al Turning Stone Resort & Casino de Verona, Nova York. La lluita es retransmetrà en directe per HBO a 10:00 p.m. I.

 

 

 

“Aquest dissabte tindrem molta activitat des de l'OMB. Cal prestar molta atenció a l'actuació de l'enorme punxador Jaime Munguía, que s'enfrontarà a un bon atacant com l'Ali. Serà una lluita clàssica de punxador contra un boxejador. Si guanya Munguía, el col·locaria en una selecta llista de grans boxejadors mexicans que han estat campions del món en o abans 21 anys d'edat", va dir Valcárcel.

 

 

 

A Augsburg, Alemanya, la boxa femenina puja a l'escenari quan la popular excampiona del món Nikki Adler (16-1, 9 Nocauts) d'Alemanya i la competidora mundial Femke Hermans (6-1, 3 Nocauts) de Bèlgica, enfrontar-se per al cinturó mundial vacant de l'OMB de la divisió de pes súper mitjà. La lluita serà a l'Eisstadion d'Augsburg.

 

 

 

“Continuem compromesos i recolzant la boxa femenina. Alemanya no és una excepció. Aquesta gran lluita té la comunitat mirant perquè hi ha un títol mundial en joc i la lluita agradarà al públic”, va dir Valcárcel.

 

A Letònia, tres títols internacionals de l'OMB estaran en joc en duels de 12 rondes en una nit al Riga Arena. Per al cinturó vacant de pes mitjà júnior internacional, el 13è classificat Ismail Iliev (10-0-1, 3 Nocauts) de Nazran, Rússia s'enfrontarà a Konstantin Ponomarev (33-0, 13 Nocauts) de Miass, Rússia.

 

 

 

També, la campiona internacional de pes lleuger de l'OMB i la cinquena classificada Isa Chaniev (12-1, 6 Nocauts) de Nazran, Rússia, defensarà el seu títol davant el fort punxador veneçolà, Ismael Barroso (20-1-2, 19 Nocauts).

 

 

 

Per al cinturó vacant de pes mitjà WBO International, Artur Akavov (18-2, 12 Nocauts) de Rússia, s'enfrontarà a l'argentí Gonzalo Coria (12-1, 5 Nocauts).

Lenin Castillo grabs WBO Gold in Ponce, Port Ric

Ponce, Port Ric – Former Dominican Olympian Lenin Castillo (18-1-1, 13 Nocauts) won the WBO/NABO vacant light heavyweight title in impressive fashion. Castillo defeated Aaron “Homicide” Mitchell (27-3-1, 21 Nocauts) of Florida by way of technical knockout in the 10th and final round.

 

 

 

 

As a result of the victory, Castillo will now be ranked among the best 175 pound fighters in the WBO.

 

 

 

 

The fight was televised by DIRECTV PR as part of a card promoted by Miguel Cotto Promotions at the Complejo Ferial, Ponce, PR.

Former Olympian Lenin Castillo (17-1-1, 12 Nocauts) from the Dominican Republic has signed with new Puerto Rican management company, Spartan Boxing Club, on his mission to be part of the big stages in boxing.

 

 

 

 

Spartan Boxing Club President Raul Pastrana stated that “We are already planning to put Castillo on Abril 7 card in San Juan, Port Ric, where Angel Acosta will defend his WBO world title, and we are currently in the process of looking for a quality opponent together with a regional title to rank Castillo in the top positions in order to get a greater fight by the end of the year”.

 

 

 

 

“I signed with Spartan Boxing because they have an incredible platform and a work plan that I understand will be effective for my long-term career. I’m crazy to get back the ring to show that I deserve to be on the big stages and what better way to start this new path in front of my dear Puerto Rican people whom make me feel at home every time I go there” said Castillo who at the amateur boxing level won gold medals at the Jr. Pan American Games and José ‘Cheo’ Aponte International Tournament, and competed at the Olympic Games at welterweight category in Beijing, Xina.

NOVA YORK - Gener 11, 2018 - Combat Americas anunciat avui la signatura de cinc divisions campió mundial de boxa, incloent regnant Organització Mundial de Boxa (OMB) pes gall (118 lliura) campió, Amanda "The Real Deal" Serrano (Boxa: 34-1-1, 26 Nocauts; MMA: 0-0) a un exclusiu, multianual acord promocional.

 

 

L'únic caça femenina en la història, així com l'únic competidor porto-riqueny a guanyar cinc títols mundials en cinc divisions de pes diferents, de 29 anys d'edat, Serrano que va néixer a Carolina, Puerto Rico i baralles fora de Brooklyn, N.Y., farà que els seus arts marcials mixtes (MMA) debut a La Gàbia, Combat la gàbia Amèriques, en una data de març que s'anunciarà aviat.

Serrano va capturar el seu primer títol mundial important, la Federació Internacional de Boxa (FIB) súper corona pes ploma, en poc 22 anys, amb una brutal, knockout de segona ronda de Kimberly Connor al setembre 10, 2011.

 

 

Des de llavors, ha trencat a través de les files dels combatents en altres quatre divisions de pes, que van des del pes gall al pes lleuger (135 lliura), i més recentment va anotar un nocaut tècnic en el Marilyn Hernández de novembre 4, 2017.

 

 

Serrano es va inspirar per creuar cap al món de les MMA pel campió del món es va retirar miesha Tate, que des de llavors s'ha convertit en co-gerent de Serrano.

Lectura, Pennsilvània (Desembre 27, 2017) – Promocions del Rei es complau d'anunciar la signatura de l'ex retador mundial José “Chelo” González a un contracte promocional.
González, 34 de Toa Baixa, Puerto Rico compta amb un registre de 24-2 amb 19 nocauts.
González va guanyar el seu primer 19 combats amb victòries sobre Osenohan Vázquez (1-0), Eric Creu (5-1-2), Hector Marengo (5-0-4) & Edgardo Soto (12-2).
Al juny 3, 2011, González va guanyar el títol Llatí de l'OMB pes lleuger amb una aturada ronda el sisè sobre Gerardo Coves.
González va fer 5 defenses reeixides abans de desafiar l'OMB pes lleuger campió mundial Ricky Burns al maig 11, 2013.
González estava dominant aquest combat i bé en el seu camí a convertir-se en un campió del món abans de lesionar-canell i es va retirar de la baralla després de la 10a ronda.
González es va recuperar per tornar a guanyar el títol Llatí de l'OMB pes lleuger i defensar-la amb una aturada cinquena ronda sobre Marvin Quintero (26-5).
González estarà buscant per tornar després d'un any de descans de dues hores i mitja.
