SÃO PAUL, Brasil (Octubre 19, 2020) -SFT MMA & Xtreme (Torneig de lluita destacat) reprogramat "SFT 22: El retorn”, inicialment previst per a l'agost 1st però ajornat a causa de la pandèmia de la COVID-19, s'ha substituït per una targeta principal exclusivament femenina en honor al mes de conscienciació del càncer de mama,  que se celebrarà la nit de Halloween (Dissabte, Octubre. 31) Sao Paulo al, Brasil.

SFT 22: El Retorn s'emetrà en directe a la cadena de televisió del Brasil en anglès i portuguès, a més d'emetre en directe als Estats Units i a tot el món amb pagament per visualització mitjançant l'aplicació i el lloc web FITE (www.FITE.tv), a partir de 10:45 p.m. EST / 7:45 p.m. PST, per només 14,99 dòlars.

“Fa dos anys,” President de SFTDavid Hudson dit, "Vam dedicar la nostra targeta a la conscienciació del càncer de mama. Era una targeta exclusivament femenina: combatents, àrbitres, i dones tallades. Hailing from Germany, but training under the tutelage of John Kavanagh at SBG Ireland in Dublin, “Monster” is a force to be reckoned with on the feet, but showcased her strong submission skills when she handed top Canadian prospect Jade Masson-Wong the first loss of her career in 2019.

WOMEN’S FLYWEIGHT TITLE WILL BE UP FOR GRABS AT NEF 43 A ORONO

PER PUBLICACIÓ IMMEDIATA: Orono, Maine (Febrer 26, 2020) - Lluites de Nova Anglaterra (NEF) will present its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event at the Collins Center for the Arts on the University of Maine’s flagship Orono campus. The event, titled “NEF 43: Avalot,” will take place on Saturday, Abril 18, 2020, with a bell-time of 7 pm EDT. Earlier today, the fight promotion announced the addition of an amateur women’s flyweight title bout to the card.“Charming” Chelsea Tucker(3-3) s'enfrontarà aCaree Hill(6-2) for the vacant NEF Amateur Women’s Flyweight Championship. The title was vacated by reigning champion Glory Watson (6-1) after her decision to turn pro on the “NEF 43” fight card was announced.

Chelsea Tucker is on a three-fight win-streak since starting her amateur MMA career with three straight losses. It is a streak that began with her last NEF appearance in November 2018 that saw Tucker defeat BJ Garceau (1-1) via technical knockout in the third round. She has gone on to win fights in New Hampshire and Vermont since that time. Tucker proudly serves in the United States Coast Guard, stationed in Boothbay, Maine. She currently represents First Class MMA based in Brunswick, Maine.

“I really look forward to fighting Caree,” said Tucker.  “This is a very good matchup. She’s a tough girl and so am I. I’m looking forward to putting on my best performance and having that belt around my waist.”

This will be the second time in less than a year that Caree Hill has ventured cross-country from her home in Oregon to challenge for NEF’s 125-pound amateur women’s strap. She took on Glory Watson for the belt at “NEF 39” last June and lost an extremely close split decision. Hill has gone on to win her next two fights, including capturing a regional title in Oregon. She represents Team Quest based in Gresham, Oregon and founded by UFC legends Randy Couture (19-11) and Dan Henderson (32-15).  The gym has produced top names like Chael Sonnen (31-17), Nate Quarry (12-4), and the late Evan Tanner (32-8) només per citar-ne alguns.

NEF WILL CROWN ITS SECOND WOMEN’S CHAMPION ON APRIL 27 A PORTLAND

Portland, Maine (Març 8, 2019) – Lluites de Nova Anglaterra (NEF) will present its next mixed-martial-arts (MMA) esdeveniment, “NEF 38: STORMBORN,” d'abril 27, 2019 at Aura in Portland. Taylor “T-Storm” Thompson (3-0) s'enfrontarà a Andrea “Renegade” Howland (2-0) to crown the first-ever NEF Women’s Bantamweight Champion. It will be the first women’s title fight for the promotion since Hilarie Rose captured the vacant strawweight title at “NEF 31” al novembre 2017.

“We hear it from fans constantly–they can’t get enough of the female fighters,” said NEF co-owner and matchmaker Matt Peterson.  “April 27th we’ve stacked the card with top-tier talent to give the fans exactly what they’ve been asking for. Howland and Thompson are two undefeated competitors with their sights set squarely on turning pro and eventually breaking into the UFC. On April 27th, one of them will leave the cage with their perfect record broken and one will leave with the first ever NEF Women’s Bantamweight Championship. Taylor Thompson made her NEF debut last November at “NEF 36” in a winning effort against Catie Denning. Prior to that time, Thompson had won two fights in Massachusetts, both by finish. She represents BST MMA & Fitness based in Mendon, Massachusetts.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to fight for NEF’s first ever women’s amateur bantamweight title,” said Thompson, “especially when I will be sharing the cage with a very talented opponent, Andrea Howland. I know I am going to love this fight, and I think the fans will too.”

Andrea Howland will bring her undefeated record to the East Coast for the first time in her amateur career. She made her cage debut in the spring of 2018 and has won both of her previous bouts by decision. Howland is currently a member of Michigan Top Team based in Southfield, Michigan.

“I am beyond excited at the opportunity to pursue a bantamweight title in my third MMA appearance,” exclaimed Howland. “Myself and my team are being flown out to the beautiful state of Maine at an incredible time of the year to get ourselves into a dog fight for a championship strap! Bangor, Maine (Gener 10, 2019) - Lluites de Nova Anglaterra (NEF) celebrarà el seu proper esdeveniment d'arts marcials mixtes, “NEF 37: Sub Zero,” el divendres, Febrer 1, 2019 al Cross Insurance Center de Bangor, Maine. El dia d'avui, the promotion announced the addition of an amateur women’s flyweight fight to the card. Glory Watson (2-0) s'enfrontarà a Rachael Lippert (4-2) amb un pes de baralla de 125 lliures-.

Glory Watson made her mark in the NEF cage in 2018 with wins over Chelsea Tucker and Megan Rosado. It earned her a nomination in the “Novençà de l'Any” category. She was the runner-up to fellow undefeated amateur rookie Zac Richard (3-0) in fan voting last month. Watson trains with Young’s MMA in Bangor. The fight with Lippert will be her first in her hometown.

“I’ve continued to train and challenge myself since my victory in Portland this past November,” said Watson.“I’m really excited to finally make my debut in my hometown to kickstart 2019 with a three-fight run streak over the next three months! I’m looking forward to my return to the cage and to show my supporters the hard work that I’ve been putting in to maintain my career with zero losses!"

Rachael Lippert is also riding a two-fight win-streak into this bout. Last month, she was victorious on a card in Minnesota put on by national promotion Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA).  She is a 25-year-old with a blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu representing Fearless MMA of Janesville, Wisconsin.

SECOND WOMEN’S FIGHT ANNOUNCED FOR NEF 36 A PORTLAND, MAINE

Portland, Maine (Setembre 12, 2018) - Lluites de Nova Anglaterra (NEF) will hold its final mixed-martial-arts event of 2018, “NEF 36: Battle for the Gold,” en dissabte, Novembre 17 at Aura in Portland, Maine. El dia d'avui, the fight promotion announced the addition of an amateur women’s flyweight fight to the card. B.J. Garceau (1-0) is scheduled to face Chelsea Tucker (0-3) amb un pes de baralla de 125 lliures-.

B.J. Garceau made national headlines earlier this year as she prepared for her in-cage debut with NEF. Diagnosed with Type-1 juvenile diabetes in 1993, Garceau became an inspiration to those within the diabetic community looking to practice the martial arts. En “NEF 32” last February, she went the distance with Sarah Ziehm (1-2) in a back-and-forth contest, ultimately picking up the win via split-decision on the judges’ quadres de comandament. Garceau is a member of Young’s MMA based in Bangor, Maine.

“When Coach (Chris) Young asked me if I was free November 17th, I thought he wanted me to be the water girl for the guys on the card,” Garceau quipped. “I say this jokingly, but we’ve had some struggles finding match ups for the Young’s WMMA (women’s mixed-martial-arts) team in the past. Me and my girls are hungry to fight. So when he asked if I’d fight Chelsea, who is a warrior that doesn’t back down from anything, of course my answer was ‘yes.’ I adore Chelsea and am ready to put on a hell of a show for the fans, my team and the beautiful city of Portland, Maine this November.”

The casual observer should not let Chelsea Tucker’s record fool them. Scrappy, talented and full of heart, Tucker has come to fight each time she has stepped in the cage. She has appeared four times in the NEF cage, including a non-sanctioned grappling match with Carol Linn Powell that went to a draw last April in Portland. Tucker proudly serves her country as a culinary specialist with the United States Coast Guard stationed in Boothbay, Maine. She trains with First Class MMA in Brunswick, Maine.
