DAVIES ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES JAMES KIRKLAND CO-PROMOTIONAL DEAL WITH WARRIORS BOXING

Sant Antoni, Texas – Davies Entertainment is proud to announce that knockout artist James Kirkland (34-2, 30 KO) has signed a two year, six fight co-promotional deal with Warriors Boxing (who have worked on previous fight cards with the likes of PBC, Top Rank, Golden Boy, Etc) . After a four year layoff, Kirkland returned to the ring in August of 2019 and has won his first two fights convincingly by way of knockout.


Kirkland has been one of boxing’s most explosive fighters with his sights set on lining up a huge fight with major contenders in 2020 and gradually working his way back into world title contention. This deal will provide the vicious southpaw the opportunity of achieving that and more.


“My only goal has been to get back on top and with this kind of team surrounding me I feel like it’s only a matter of time before it happens,” said Kirkland.


Kirkland will be in attendance at tonight’s Terrence Crawford fight in New York.

Sant Antoni, Texas – Professional championship boxing returns to the Alamodome on November 9th with Alamo City Fight Night! Davies Entertainment presents an incredible boxing event in the heart of San Antonio, Showcasing seven prize fighters fighting under the Davies Entertainment banner.


Texas knockout artist James Kirkland (33-2, 29 KO) returns to the ring after making quick work of his last opponent in the first round. Kirkland has been one of boxing’s most explosive fighters with knockout wins over Brian Vera, Joel Julio, Alfredo Angulo, and Glen Tapia. Kirkland looks to make another run toward a championship taking on the “New Orleans Nightmare” Jas Phipps (10-7, 5 KO) in a six round Middleweight bout.


Alamo City Fight Night will also feature San Antonio’s Eddie Ortiz (9-0-2, 4KO) defending his World Boxing Council USNBC Silver Middleweight Title against hard hitting veteran Alexis Camacho (22-6, 20 KO) in an eight round Middleweight contest.


The fight card has an incredible lineup of up and coming talent including San Antonio’s Benjamin Whitaker (12-3, 3 KO), a crafty ring technician who brutally knocked out his last opponent, Antoni de Sant Daniel Balcer (13-2, 5KO), Eduardo Garza (14-2, 7 KO),Carlos Villa (14-3 6 KO) And the pro debut of Jeffrey Stern. Also featured on the card, Selina “The Aztec Queen” Barris (sister of world champ Mario Barrios) , 1nd Brown Nevarez.

NOVA YORK, Nova York (Febrer 2, 2017) – Roc Nation Sports today received notification from James Kirkland’s team that Kirkland has suffered an injury which will force him to withdraw from his match against Five-Time World Champion Miguel Cotto on Dissabte, Febrer 25, 2017. The reported injury is a fractured nose. Desafortunadament, the entire HBO Pay-Per-View show at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas is cancelled.

He previously held the WBO junior welterweight world title, the WBA welterweight world title, the WBO welterweight world title and the WBA super welterweight world title.
