RENO’S JJ MARIANO TO MAKE PRO DEBUT / CARSON CITY’S ELIZONDO RETURNS TO RING JUNE 8TH

Maig 30, RENO — Northern Nevadans JJ Mariano and Diego Elizondo are scheduled to fight on the June 8th world-championship boxing card at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The event is presented by Top Rank Inc., Anem a Get It On Promotions, and the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. The evening’s feature attraction matches World Champion Oscar Valdez (25-0, 20 KOs) against Jason Sanchez (14-0, 7 KOs) for the WBO Featherweight World Title.  



Making his highly anticipated pro debut, Reno’s own JJ Mariano will be fighting William Flenoy of Fresno in a four-round jr. welterweight bout. Mariano, who has been exciting local boxing fans by fighting for University of Nevada Reno’s boxing program, is ready to throw his hat into the prize ring.  

“I’ve been looking forward to fighting professionally for about a year now.” Says Mariano. “Being able to have your first pro fight in your hometown is something special.”

Mariano, who is a Reed High School graduate, has also recently participated in various Golden Glove tournaments.

In a battle of undefeated prospects, Carson City lleuger Diego Elizondo (2-0-1) will be fighting Sacramento’s Sergio Vega (2-0) in a four-round match. After a layoff, Elizondo is eager to get back into the squared-circle.

“I have bigger plans in boxing.” Says Elizondo.  “A win over Vega will be a step in the right direction.”

April 30th, RENO — The card is set for May 4th’s world-class boxing event presented by Let’s Get It On Promotions and the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The evening’s feature attraction matches world-ranked Oscar “El Chapito” Vasquez (15-1) against Ricardo "El Nen" Sandoval (12-1) en una de vuit assalts, batalla súper mosca. 14 D'AGOST, RENO — El Fallon Rural Rumble va tornar a oferir una nit de boxa professional de classe mundial sensacional a la seva desena entrega en dissabte nit.

 

En la seva primera lluita de deu rondes, Oscar "Chapito" Vasquez, nadiu de Reno i classificat mundialment, va aconseguir una impressionant victòria per decisió unànime sobre Javier Gallo a l'esdeveniment principal de la nit.. Vasquez millora 14-1.

 

En el co-principal, Stockton, CA sensació Gabriel Flores Jr. va aconseguir una victòria per decisió unànime sobre el dur Jorge Padrón de Mèxic. Flores millora 3-0 (2 KOs).

 

Diego Elizondo, de Carson City, també va aconseguir una victòria de la UD sobre Chandler Clements en el seu debut professional..

 

Pedro Moreno de Sacramento millora 7-0 (5 KOs) amb una impressionant victòria per nocaut tècnic de segona ronda sobre Curtis Morton.

 

En la baralla d'obertura, Quilisto "Kilo the Kid" Madera de Stockton CA amb una segona ronda sensacional, victòria per KO d'un tir sobre Austin Marcum. Madera millora a 7-0 (4 KOs).

VASQUEZ AND FLORES CO-HEADLINE TENTH ANNUAL FALLON “RURAL RUMBLE” 8/12

JULY 19th, RENO — The City of Fallon and Let’s Get It On Promotions are pleased to announce the tenth annual ‘Rural Rumble’. La August 12th fight card will feature Reno’s Oscar “Chapito” Vasquez (13-1), and Gabriel Flores (2-0) de Stockton, TAL COM.

 

Oscar “Chapito” Vasquez, who was recently ranked #15 flyweight in the world by the World Boxing Organization, is coming off of a dominant unanimous decision victory over Armando Vasquez in June. He looks to further his world title campaign against veteran Javier Gallo (24-13-1) who is coming off of an impressive upset split decision victory over Jose Salgado in April. Vasquez versus Gallo is scheduled for ten rounds.

 

El invicte, emocionant, and youngest-ever signed Top Rank Inc. boxer Gabriel Flores makes his return to Northern Nevada at this year’s Rural Rumble. In his professional debut on 5 de maig, Flores delighted the Reno fight fans by impressively knocking out Devon Jones. On June 30th, he scored his second consecutive KO over Jahaziel Vasquez in Texas. .

 

Four other bouts are scheduled for August 12th in Fallon. Carson City’s own Diego Elizondo will be making his anticipated professional debut in a four-round lightweight fight. After impressing the boxing fans in Fallon last year, undefeated Northern California favorite Pedro Moreno (6-0) returns to the 2017 Rural Rumble in a lightweight bout. Reno Jr.-flyweight, Santos Vasquez, looks to continue his third win in a row in a six-round bout. And finally, Reno bantamweight Alec McGee (2-1) looks to get back into the win column as he, massa, returns to Fallon for the 2017 Rural Rumble in a four round scrap.
