POUR DIFFUSION IMMÉDIATE: Orono, Maine (Février 26, 2020) - Combats Nouvelle-Angleterre (NEF) présentera ses prochains-arts martiaux mixtes (MMA) événement au Centre Collins des Arts de l'Université du phare du campus Orono Maine. L'événement, intitulé « NEF 43: Déchaînement,» Aura lieu le samedi, Avril 18, 2020, avec une cloche de temps 7 pm EDT. Plus tôt aujourd'hui, la promotion de combat a annoncé l’ajout d’un combat pour le titre de poids mouche féminin amateur à la carte."Charmant" Chelsea Tucker(3-3) va prendreCaree Hill(6-2) pour le championnat poids mouche féminin amateur NEF vacant. Le titre a été annulé par le champion en titre Glory Watson (6-1) après l'annonce de sa décision de devenir pro sur la carte de combat «NEF 43».

Chelsea Tucker est sur une séquence de trois victoires consécutives depuis le début de sa carrière amateur en MMA avec trois défaites consécutives. C'est une séquence qui a commencé avec sa dernière apparition au NEF en novembre 2018 qui a vu Tucker vaincre BJ Garceau (1-1) via KO technique au troisième tour. Depuis lors, elle a remporté des combats dans le New Hampshire et le Vermont. Tucker sert fièrement dans la Garde côtière des États-Unis, stationné à Boothbay, Maine. Elle représente actuellement le MMA de première classe basé à Brunswick, Maine.

Ce sera la deuxième fois en moins d’un an que Caree Hill s’aventurera en cross-country depuis son domicile de l’Oregon pour défier le bracelet pour femmes amateurs de 125 livres de NEF. Elle a affronté Glory Watson pour la ceinture à «NEF 39» en juin dernier et a perdu une décision partagée extrêmement serrée. POUR DIFFUSION IMMÉDIATE: Portland, Maine (Février 10, 2020) – More than 2000 braved frigid temperatures on Saturday night as New England Fights (NEF) brought its most recent mixed-martial-arts (MMA) event to the stage of Merrill Auditorium in Portland. 22 fights took place under the shadow of the world-famous 1911 Kotzschmar Memorial Organ. It was NEF’s debut at the century-old venue, and the event opened the venerable fight promotion’s ninth season of MMA competition.

Bermudez’s victory capped a perfect night for the South Shore Sportfighting team of Rockland, Massachusetts. Teammates Darryl Andrews (1-0) et Tim Birkenhead (2-0) were both successful in their respective fights to lift their gym to a 3-0 record on the event.

The biggest story of the night, undoubtedly, came in the co-main event as longtime NEF veteranJesse « Le Viking » Erickson(10-8) mainJosh « Décrocher » Harvey(7-1-1) the first loss of his professional career. Erickson, who represents both Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Recon Fitness, put on a brilliant jiu-jitsu clinic that will be remembered for years to come. Trapped against the cage by Harvey early-on in the first round, Erickson pulled guard and transitioned through a chain of submissions before finally settling in with an armbar to force the tapout, sending the Portland crowd into an absolute frenzy.

In a wild heavyweight slugfest that also took place on the professional portion of the card, Ras “Rasquatch” Hylton (5-3) downedBrad Lee(0-1) via technical knockout in the second round. After several minutes of feeling each other out, the pair exchanged in a back-and-forth slobber-knocker in the closing moments of the first round. A little over a minute into the second round, the referee called a halt to the action after several unanswered strikes from the 6’6” Hylton.

Hylton’s First Class MMA teammateJacob Deppmeyer(1-0) had a successful pro debut, défaiteCarl Langston(0-5) via first-round technical knockout. Deppmeyer, trapped Langston in a reverse triangle and rained down a series of unanswered elbows, giving the referee no option but to stop the bout at that point.

Another CMBJJ product, Garry Carr (3-1), broke his own record for a second consecutive time when he became, yet again, the oldest athlete to win a fight in the NEF cage. At 58-years-young, Carr took a unanimous decision victory over 23-year-old Austin Hamilton (0-2) in a catchweight amateur fight.

NEF also announced that its next event would see the promotion return to the campus of UMaine Orono at the Collins Center for the Arts on April 18 with “NEF 43: Rampage.” Already confirmed for the event, Zac « Rocky » Richard(6-2-1) will defend the NEF Amateur Lightweight Title againstDevin Corson(3-1), tandis queChelsea Tucker(3-3) is scheduled to meet Oregon’sCaree Hill(6-2) for the NEF Amateur Women’s Flyweight Championship, and Caleb Austin facesJames Ploss (1-2) in a long-awaited rematch of their controversial 2017 bout.

Portland, Maine (Septembre 12, 2018) - Combats Nouvelle-Angleterre (NEF) tiendra sa dernière épreuve-arts martiaux mixtes de 2018, “NEF 36: Bataille pour l'or,” Samedi, Novembre 17 à Aura à Portland, Maine. Plus tôt aujourd'hui,, la promotion du combat a annoncé l'ajout d'un combat de poids mouche amateur féminin à la carte. B.J. Garceau (1-0) doit affronter Chelsea Tucker (0-3) à un poids de combat de 125 livres-.

B.J. Garceau a fait la une des journaux nationaux plus tôt cette année alors qu'elle se préparait à ses débuts en cage avec NEF. Diagnostiqué de diabète juvénile de type 1 1993, Garceau est devenu une source d'inspiration pour ceux de la communauté diabétique qui cherchent à pratiquer les arts martiaux. À “NEF 32” février dernier, elle a parcouru la distance avec Sarah Ziehm (1-2) dans un concours de va-et-vient, remportant finalement la victoire par décision partagée sur les juges’ tableaux de bord. Garceau est membre du MMA Young basé à Bangor, Maine.

“Quand Coach (Chris) Young m'a demandé si j'étais libre le 17 novembre, Je pensais qu'il voulait que je sois la fille de l'eau pour les gars sur la carte,” Garceau a plaisanté. “Je dis ça en plaisantant, mais nous avons eu du mal à trouver des matchs pour la WMMA des jeunes (arts martiaux mixtes féminins) équipe dans le passé. Moi et mes filles avons faim de se battre. Alors quand il a demandé si je combattrais Chelsea, qui est un guerrier qui ne recule devant rien, bien sûr, ma réponse a été «oui.’ J'adore Chelsea et je suis prêt à faire un putain de spectacle pour les fans, mon équipe et la belle ville de Portland, Maine en novembre.”

L'observateur occasionnel ne devrait pas laisser le record de Chelsea Tucker les tromper. Décousu, talentueux et plein de cœur, Tucker est venue se battre à chaque fois qu'elle est entrée dans la cage. Elle est apparue quatre fois dans la cage NEF, y compris un match de grappling non sanctionné avec Carol Linn Powell qui a fait match nul en avril dernier à Portland. FINISHES GALORE HIGHLIGHT NEF 34 FIGHT NIGHT IN PORTLAND; NEF ANNOUNCES RETURN TO BANGOR

Portland, Maine (Juin 17, 2018) - Combats Nouvelle-Angleterre (NEF) made its return to Portland, Maine on Saturday night with the fight promotion’s latest mixed-martial-arts event, “NEF 34: Home of the Brave.” A jam-packed house of fight fans took in the action as NEF fighters delivered the non-stop excitement from bell to bell in what many are calling one of the best events the company has ever produced.

 

 

 

On a card featuring a total of 18 combats, les juges’ scorecards were not needed until the thirteenth bout of the evening. Avant cette date, the early card featured a plethora of exciting finishes including a pair of D’Arce Chokes courtesy of Angelo Rizzitello (2-1) and Henry Clark (4-4) and highlight-reel knockouts by Cody Rolling (5-5) and Zac Lawrence (1-0). Thirteen of the evening’s fights ended in the first round.

 

 

 

Kam Arnold (4-0) and Killian Murphy (1-1) waged an absolute war for the vacant amateur bantamweight title in what made history as the first amateur fight in Maine to ever go beyond the old three-round limit. Arnold claimed the title with a fourth-round knockout in a bout that will certainly be a contender for “Combat de l'Année” this December when voting begins.

 

 

 

Not to be outdone, Carlton Charles (2-2) and Duncan “le Highlander” Forgeron (3-2) took their amateur welterweight title fight into the fourth round as well. Smith took the gold home after putting Charles out with a rear-naked choke.

 

 

 

Du côté professionnel de la carte, Young’s MMA teammates “Le” Ryan Sanders (16-9) and Aaron “Implacable” Lacey (5-2) were in action. Sanders submitted Vince McGuiness (5-8) with just seconds remaining in the first round while Lacey lost a unanimous decision to Da’Mon Blackshear (5-1) dans l'événement principal.

NEF RELEASES FIGHT CARD FOR RETURN TO PORTLAND ON JUNE 16

Portland, Maine (Mai 18, 2018) –Earlier today, Combats Nouvelle-Angleterre (NEF) released the official card for its upcoming return to Aura in Portland, Maine. The mixed-martial-arts event, intitulé “NEF 34: Home of the Brave,” is scheduled to take place on Saturday night, Juin 16, 2018 avec une cloche de temps 7:00 h HAE.

 

 

 

The main event will feature two rising East Coast prospects when Bangor, Maine’s own Aaron “Implacable” Lacey (5-1) meets Fayetteville, North Carolina’s Da’Mon “Le diamant” Blackshear (4-1) dans un combat de poids plume. Lacey is coming off a dominant win over veteran Josh Parker (6-9) plus tôt cette année, while Blackshear looks to rebound from the first loss of his professional career last August.

 

 

 

Lacey’s Young’s MMA teammate “Le” Ryan Sanders (15-9) will see action in the co-main event against Tampa, FLORIDE Vince McGuiness (5-7). Sanders is the reigning NEF MMA Pro Lightweight Champion. The fight with McGuiness will be a non-title affair.

 

 

 

Rounding out the professional portion of the card will be yet another Young’s MMA competitor in the form of Carl Langston (0-1) who is scheduled to rematch The Choi Institute’s Ernesto Ornelas (3-7) in a battle of Portland fan-favorites. Langston and Ornelas initially met last month at “NEF 33” with Ornelas coming out on top via unanimous decision. Langston immediately requested a rematch blaming his performance on nerves surrounding his pro debut. Ornelas obliged and has promised to finish Langston this time out, leaving no room for question.

 

 

 

The amateur portion of the card will be headlined by a pair of title fights. Undefeated Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (CMBJJ) perspective Kam Arnold (3-0) fera face Michael Crespo (3-3) of First Class MMA for the vacant NEF MMA Amateur Bantamweight Championship. In the second title fight, Carlton Charles (2-1) of the Charles Fighting Family and Berserkers MMA meets Duncan “le Highlander” Forgeron (2-2) of Evolution Athletix to crown a new NEF MMA Amateur Welterweight Champion. Both fights are scheduled for five three-minute rounds – a first in the NEF amateur division as all previous title fights had been scheduled for three three-minute rounds.

 

 

 

Three women’s bouts will take place on the amateur card. Brianne Genschel (0-1) of First Class MMA and the Foundry will take on Tampa, FLORIDE Amanda Gallo (1-1) while Genschel’s First Class MMA teammate Chelsea Tucker (0-2) faces the debuting gloire Watson (0-0) de MMA de Young, et Carol Linn Powell (0-1) répond Sarah Matulis (1-0) of the Outlet. Chelsea Tucker, a member of First Class MMA of Brunswick, Maine, is a native of Williamsburg, Virginie. She has served her country as a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. Tucker has twice entered the NEF cage to compete in MMA bouts. She lost to Sarah Matulis (1-0) via TKO last fall at “NEF 31.” She returned to meet Catie Denning (1-0) in February at “NEF 32.” Tucker forced Denning to a decision, but lost on the judges’ tableaux de bord. Plus tôt ce mois-ci, Tucker entered the NEF cage for a third time to grapple Carol Linn Powell (0-1) on the opener of “NEF 33.” Tucker and Powell went to a five-minute draw.

“I look forward to stepping into the cage with Glory,” dit Tucker. “It’s always an honor to step into the cage with anyone who puts in the time and work. She comes from a very good gym and so do I. I have some great sparring partners and coaches. I’m excited to show what I have learned every time I make an appearance.”

“NEF 34” will be the debut of Glory Watson in the MMA cage. Watson is a product of Young’s MMA of Bangor, Maine where she is a teammate of Catie Denning who defeated Chelsea Tucker earlier this year. She is eager to test the skills she has picked up from her team in the cage this June.
