Split-T Management signs amateur standout Andreal Holmes to a managerial contract

New York (September 5, 2016) -Split-T Management is pleased to announce the signing of the US National Elite Champion, Ardreal Holmes to an exclusive managerial contract.

Holmes, 21 years-old of Flint, MI made his successful professional debut on August 27, 2016 when he stopped Rakim Johnson of Indianapolis, IN in the first round, in Detroit, MI.

Holmes, who was the number-one ranked welterweight in the US, had an outstanding amateur career that culminated in reaching the finals of the Olympic trials.

Holmes has competed in over 80 amateur fights and won several major tournaments including the 2015 USA National Elite Championship.

Holmes also has competed in several major international tournaments. In March 2016, he competed in the World Series of Boxing and scored a sensational knockout over Cyrus Patterson of Great Britain.

“Since the signing, David McWater has treated me and the Gallo boxing team like family. I look forward to our success together,”said Holmes

Split-T Management signs World Amateur Sensation Marquis Moore; Set to make pro debut on tonight in Indianapolis

New York, NY (April 29, 2016) – Split-T Management is happy to announce the signing of International Golden Gloves Champion and two-time National Golden Gloves champion, Marquis Moore to a managerial contract. Moore, who was honorably discharged from the army after serving our country for 3 years, will be making his professional debut as a middleweight tonight in Indianapolis, IN on a card promoted by 4 Champs Promotions.

Moore, 25, was among the United States top amateur middleweights as he compiled a record of 140-15, highlighted by representing Team USA in many international events including winning the World National Golden Gloves as well as winning the gold medal in numerous national championships including the 2012 Armed Forces Championships, 2013 and 2014 National Golden Gloves, 2015 National PAL and US Olympic Trials Qualifiers.

Moore credits his relationship and trust with Split-T Management’s CEO David McWater with his decision to sign with the company.

“I signed with Split-T Management because of David McWater. I am very excited to have someone like him to guide my professional career. We first met in 2013 when I won the National Golden Gloves and learned he has been following my career for a while and our relationship built from there.” said Moore

“He has always believed in me and came through with everything he has promised.”

Said David McWater, “By the 2013 National Golden Gloves and I thought he was the best fighter in the tournament. He was so exciting of a fighter, and he was clearly the best amateur in the country at that time. At one point, he was undefeated for a 30 month period. He is a great fighter and a great guy and I’m thrilled to be part of his professional career.”

Moore, who was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado will continue to live there and train with world class trainer, Dickie Wood in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

“Living and training here is so beneficial for my career” says Moore. I’m living and training thousands of feet above sea level. I’m a gym rat as it is, but training here where the air so thin, makes me have such an advantage over my opponents because I will never got tired. I’m learning new things from Mr. Wood every day and I can’t wait to put my boxing on display for the world to see.”

Wood, who has worked with many world champions in the past, including: Stevie Johnston, Oleg Maskaev, Diego “Chico” Corrales, and Buddy McGirt, feels he has a budding superstar in his hands.

“He is a multi-talented fighter with a blend of skills, speed and power. I truly believe he can become world champion in two years!” Says Wood.

” I have worked with several world champions in the past and his talents are comparable to them at this early a stage of his career.”

Moore agrees, “I see myself becoming a world champion and being a superstar in this sport. I live, eat, sleep boxing and will be the most exciting fighter to watch in today’s game. Split-T Management signs world ranked welterweight Ray Robinson

New York, NY (February 25, 2016)–Boxing managers Split-T Management are proud to announce the signing of world ranked welterweight contender Ray Robinson to a managerial contract.

Robinson of Philadelphia, PA. has a record of 20-2 with nine knockouts and is currently ranked number-seven by the WBC.

Robinson, who turned professional in 2006 is on a seven fight winning streak that is over a 5 and a half year period.
The 30 year-old Robinson has wins over previously undefeated Roberto Acevedo, Darnell Jiles Jr & Aslanbek Kozaev.
Robinson has collected the Pennsylvania Welterweight title with an explosive 2nd round stoppage over former U.S. Olympian Terrence Cauthen (36-7). He won the vacant WBA-NABA interim title with a 10-round unanimous decision over Alberto Morales (11-1). Robinson captured USBA title with a 7th round stoppage over Ray Narh (26-2). He won the the WBO NABO title with the win over Kozaev.
In his most recent bout, Robinson retained the WBO NABO title with a 10-round unanimous decision over Sherzodbek Alimjanov (22-2) on April 17.

“I felt David McWater can help me get to my dream and become world champion.
I feel like it’s a matter of time before I get my shot to show everyone I am the top welterweight in the world. I fought some tough guys in my career and show I can compete and beat them,” said Robinson.

Along with McWater, Robinson will be co-managed with Philly fixture Tom Moran who formerly represented Tim Witherspoon and Kassim Ouma and currently represents 2012 Olympic Silver Medalist John Joe Nevin.

Split-T Management fighters go 6 for 6 this past weekend

Nieves, Sylla, Jones Ware, Wattley & Anderson remain undefeated with wins
New York, NY (February 18, 2015)–Upstart boxing manager’s Split-T Management was perfect this past weekend by going 6 for 6 in fights all over the country.

At The Mountaineer Casino in Chester, WV, Bantamweight Antonio “Carita” Nieves(15-0-1, 8 KO’s) registered a vicious 3rd round,one punch stoppage over Hungarian, Tibor Nadori (6-3) on a card promoted by Mademan Promotions.

A full-time banker, Nieves dissected the taller Nadori for the first two rounds. In the third round, he threw a double jab followed with a straight right hand that put Nadori down and out for the full 10 count. Nadori was knocked out cold for several minutes

Former amateur star from Senegal, Welterweight Boubacar Sylla, now residing in Cincinnati, OH made a successful pro debut with an explosive 2nd round knockout over Shannon Kelley of Columbus, OH. After working the body for the first round, the 6’1″ Sylla ended the fight with an one punch overhand right that dropped Kelley. The referee had to call a halt to the bout after Kelley attempted to get up.

A few hundred miles away, the other four Split-T managed boxers fought on a card in Royal Oak, MI, promoted Ahrens Promotions.

Leading the charge was 20 year old, “Mighty” Joe Jones of Jersey City, NJ. Making his return to the ring after a two-year layoff, Jones scored a devastating 2nd round stoppage over Michael Shipp, improving his record to 5-0, 4 KO’s. Jones wowed the crowd and had them oohing and ahhing after every punch he landed as he knocked Shipp down with powerful combinations to the head and body twice in the opening stanza. Jones started round two with a combination to the head that had Shipp slumped over on the ropes causing the referee to call the bout.

The card also featured three of Toledo, OH’s best up and coming fighters.
Among them was full-time Toledo Fireman and former Super Middleweight Amateur Star Deandre Ware, who improved to 3-0, 3 KO’s with a 1st round KO over debuting Brian Jackson of Port Huron, MI. After scoring a knockdown early in the fight, Ware connected with a right hand to the head that put Jackson down and out.

Junior Welterweight, Alden Wattley made a successful pro debut with a first round stoppage over Christopher Johnson of South Bend, IN.. A right uppercut to the body put Johnson down for the full 10 count.

Completing the hat trick for Team Toledo, Former University of Toledo Linebacker,Cassius Anderson made a successful transition to boxing with a 4 round unanimous decision over tough Ryan Pokrfky of Detroit, MI. Pokrfky was game and hung in tough but the skills and conditioning of Anderson was the difference as all the judges gave the bout to Anderson.

All the Toledo boxers are trained by young upstart trainer, Lamar Wright. He also trains Split-T fighter, undefeated jr welterweight/welterweight Wesley Tucker 10-0, 7 KO’s.

“It was another great weekend for Split-T Management and for the Split-T Philosophy of keeping fighters as active as possible,”said Split-T management CEO David McWater.

These fighters are being guided by long time respected matchmaker and boxing mind, Joe Quiambao.

Quiambao’s philosophies on building fighter’s are really showing with the success of the Split-T stable.

“I’m working with a real good group of prospects and I see lot of promise. I expect to see big things from them as they only needed an opportunity from someone to show what they can do. These kids are very hungry because they want to prove themselves to us and to the rest of the boxing world. As you know I have been involved with quite a few champions and contenders early in their careers and I see a lot of similarities in the level of talents of the group here,” said Quiambao
