NEW YORK (Augustus 22, 2023) – Vier Split-T Management-vechters bleven dit weekend ongeslagen.
Vrijdagavond in Atlanta, LeAnna Cruz bleef ongeslagen met een unaniem besluit van zes ronden over Maryguenn Vellinga in een vlieggewichtgevecht.

Cruz landde 88 van 271 stoten. Vellinga was 34 van 224.

Kruis, 111.6 pond van Allentown, PA gewonnen door scores van 60-54 op alle kaarten en is 6-0. Vellinga, 111.2 pond van Park City, UT is 4-4-2.

Asa Stevens bleef ongeslagen met een split-decision van vier ronden over D'Angelo Hopgood in een superbantamgewichtgevecht.
Stevens, 121.7 pond Waianae, HI won met scores van 40-36, 39-37 en Hopgood nam een ​​kaart 39-37.

Stevens landde 66 van 205 stoten. Hopgood was 67 van. 273.


Stevens is 5-0. Hopgoed, 121.2 pond Milwaukee is 2-2-1.
Javier Zamarron bleef ongeslagen met een unaniem besluit in vier ronden over Sabastian Santiago in een vedergewicht gevecht.

Split-T Management signs Two-Time National Golden Gloves Champion Abel Gonzalez

Winner of The 2021 National Golden Gloves Tournament Most Outstanding Fighter Award
New York (Januari 3, 2022) — Split-T Management has signed highly acclaimed amateur and two-time National Golden Gloves Champion Abel Gonzalez to a management contract. Gonzalez most recently won the 2021 National Golden Gloves in the ultra competitive 178 pond. gewicht divisie, taking home the award for Most Outstanding Fighter of the Tournament (178-201+) in het proces.

Gonzalez, of Hialeah, Florida, will make his professional debut at super middleweight. Hij wordt opgeleid door zijn vader, Ameth, a Guantanamo, Cuba native and lists the Cuban greats Teofilo Stevenson and Felix Savon as some of his biggest influences in the sport. Gonzalez is a boxer-puncher possessing thudding power and an excellent ring IQ.

“I am very excited to sign with Split-T Management. This is the moment that I have been waiting for. Under Split-T, I feel that I will be able to reach all of my goals and become a World Champion,” Said Gonzalez.

“Abel is a very strong young man with a devastating right hand that he gets off quickly and an equally powerful left hook. We expect him to make a seamless transition to the pros and become a major force at 168 pounds and beyond,” said Brendan Segalas of Split-T Management.

Gonzalez, 24, compiled a total record of 65-8 and was a two-time National Golden Gloves Champion; four-time Florida Elite Golden Gloves Champion; three-time Florida PAL Champion and a 2013 Junior Golden Gloves Champion as an amateur. Gonzalez is ready to make his mark in the professional ranks with Split-T Management and his father/trainer firmly behind him.

Split-T Management signs Heavyweight Devon Young

NEW YORK (Juli 26, 2021) – Split-T Management has signed heavyweight Devon Young to a managerial contract.


De 22 year-old Young is from Aiken, Zuid Carolina, and compiled an impressive 42-12 mark as an amateur.


“I think this is great. Dave McWater is one of the top managers in boxing, This will put me in a great position to get to my dreams, and that is to become world champion,” zei Young. “Split-T has many talented fighters, and I am grateful to join them. I expect to make my pro debut on September 4th in Columbia, Zuid Carolina. I am a boxer-puncher that is more aggressive and I like to come forward. I am very athletic, I can’t wait to show the world my talents”


As an amateur fighter, Young made it to the 2020 Olympische Trials, and was a Western qualifier champion in 2017 & 2018, en de 2015 Youth Open Champion. He also was a 2014 Junior Olympic champion.


Young has the distinction as being the last fighter to defeated current United States Olympic Super Heavyweight Richard Torrez


Young’s athletic prowess extends beyond the ring as he was a star football player on both sides of the ball who earned a scholarship to Georgia Military College as a Running Back and Defensive End.


Devon is trained by his uncle Terry Cade, who himself was a former professional boxer.

NEW YORK (Juni 25, 2021)–Op Zaterdag, boxing’s top management company, Split-T Management will have four of it’s top fighters featured in bouts throughout North America.


At the Virgin Hotel In Las Vegas, undefeated welterweight Giovani Santillan battles Cecil McCalla in a 10-round bout.


In Guadalajara, Mexico, rising undefeated prospect Diego Pacheco takes on undefeated Jesus Palomares in an eight-round super middleweight fight.


In Ashland, Kentucky, world-ranked super welterweight Charles Cinwell takes on Silverio Ortiz, while Haven Brady Jr. takes on Nathan Benichou in a four-round featherweight bout.

Santillan, who is promoted by Thompson Boxing and Top Rank, has a record 26-0 met 15 knock-outs. Santillan of San Diego, has wins over Michael Balasi (10-2), Daniyar Hanyk (10-0), Osenohan vazquez (7-1-1), Eduardo Rivera (9-1-2), Ernesto Ortiz (10-2), Omar Tienda (18-3), Sammy Valentin (12-0), Dodzi Kemeh (19-1), Alejandro Barboza (11-1) and his last bout when defeated former world champion Antonio DeMarco on June 16, 2020 in Las Vegas.


McCalla of Randallstown, Maryland, heeft een record van 23-4 met 10 knock-outs.


McCalla has defeated the likes of Ivan Zigar (1-0-1), Antonio Walls (2-0), John Mackey (11-2-1), Gary Lynch (4-0) and Oscar Godoy (13-2). McCalla has won two in a row, and is coming off of a 2nd round stoppage over Fidel Monterrosa Munoz on October 16th in Plant City, Florida.


Santillan weighed 147.6 lbs and McCalla was 147 lbs at Friday’s weigh-in.

Pacheco of Los Angeles is 11-0 met acht knockouts.


De 20 year-old Pacheco will be facing his 5th undefeated foe of his three-year career. He already has wins over Felix Aguilar, Guillermo Maldonado, Jose Esparza and Terry Ferandez. Pacheco also has a 2nd round stoppage over Juan Antonio Mendez (12-2). Pacheco is coming off a unanimous decision over Rodolfo Gomez Jr. on February 21st in Miami.


Palomares of Sonora, Mexico is 7-0-1 met vier knockouts, and has defeated two undefeated opponents in his last two bouts. He has a 2nd round stoppage over Christian Hermosillo (3-0) and in his last bout Palomares won a unanimous decision over Jaime Portillo on November 19th in Sonora, Mexico.


Both Pacheco and Palomares were 167 lbs at Friday’s weigh-in


In Ashland, Kentucky Conwell and Brady were able to book fights following bouts being postponed in Miami.


Conwell of Cleveland is ranked number-seven by the IBF, heeft een record van 14-0 met 11 knock-outs,

Split-T Management’s Christopher Pearson ready for anyone at 160 of 168 lbs.

NEW YORK (Juli 28, 2020) – Surging middleweight contender Christopher Pearson is ready for a breakthrough performance against any of the top names at 160 of 168 divisions.


Pearson of Trotwood, Ohio, is managed by Split-T Management, and he recently moved to San Antonio, Texas, heeft een record van 17-2, and is riding a three-fight winning streak which includes a win over former Olympic Bronze Medal winner and undefeated Yamaguchi Falcao.


Pearson, who trains in Los Angeles under world-championship trainer Manny Robles, has already begun preparations for his next assignment.


“I started training down here in San Antonio at Jesse James Leija’s gym. I just moved down here, and it took a minute to find a gym, but once the gym opened, this is a great place to be. I will go to Los Angeles on July 30th and start with Manny,” said Pearson.


Pearson, who began his career with 13 opeenvolgende overwinningen, feels that he is a stern challenge for anybody at middleweight or super middleweight.


“I am looking to fight the best in those two divisions,and solidify myself as the best in the sport. I feel that that the 2nd half of my career is proving that I am the best.”


The Falcao fight proved that Pearson can fight anyone in those divisions, and despite getting a late call for the fight, he performed at a high-level to come home with the emphatic unanimous decision victory.


“I took that fight on four weeks notice. I am not short on confidence, and I know what I am capable of doing.


Recently Pearson had his named mentioned for a showdown with Canelo Alvarez, and he believes that Canelo’s handlers were not too keen in a fight with the 29 year-old Pearson.

“I know that I am one of four or five guys from Golden Boy Promotions that was offered that fight. Out of all of those guys, they must of looked at me as a high-risk, low-reward fight. Fighting me is dangerous. They know me, because I have sparred with him, and he knows what I am capable of.”

“Canelo is a counter-puncher, but he is not better then me in the department. He has more power, but he is not as capable as me. Zodra we in de ring, anything can happen..especially at 168 pond.”

“Another fight that I would like to get is with Jaime Munguia. He is at 160 pounds now. I can outclass him. I don’t see anything special about him. If it takes beating other fighters like David Lemieux or Taureano Johnson to get those fights, then bring them on. Right now I am ready to take on anyone.”

Split-T Management Raquel Miller wint WBA Interim Super weltergewicht Championship

NEW YORK (November 26, 2019)–Zaterdagavond in Quebec City, Split-T Management Raquel Miller veroverde de WBA Interim Super weltergewicht wereldkampioenschap met een 10-round unaniem besluit over Alma Ibarra.


Miller van San Francisco controleerde de actie en hield de eerder ongeslagen Ibarra op afstand en won door scores van 99-91 en 98-92 tweemaal.


Met de overwinning, het gevechtsvliegtuig bekend als “Pretty Beast” heft haar perfect merk 10-0.


Miller kon nu kijken naar periodes met WBA Wereldkampioen Hanna Gabriels evenals Hannah Rankin en voormalig super middengewicht kampioen Maricela Cornejo.



“Het was een goed gevecht. Alma was zwaar, en het was een goed gevecht. Ik vocht goed, nu zal ik kijken naar de strijd, en zien wat ik beter had kunnen doen. Ik was dominant als ik het grootste deel van de rondes gewonnen. Ik nam deze strijd op het laatste moment, dus ik ben blij met de strijd en het resultaat,” Said Miller.

Split-T Management’s Holmes, Miller and Dixon Get Big Wins on Saturday Night

NEW YORK (Mei 20, 2019) –Three cites, three wins for Split-T Management fighters this past Saturday night as Ardreal Holmes en Raquel Miller remained undefeated while Carlos Dixon scored a big knockout in his hometown.


Holmes went to 9-0 with a six-round unanimous decision over veteran Lanardo Tyner in Dearborn, Michigan.


De 24 year-old Holmes of Flint, Michigan was systematic in winning by shutout tallies on two cards at 60-54 en 58-56 to raise the former amateur star’s record to 9-0.


Miller moved a step closer to winning a world championship as she captured the NABF Middleweight title with a 7th round stoppage over Erin Toughill inHawaiian Gardens, Californië.


Miller of San Francisco knocked Toughill down in the 1st round with a body shot, and then she dropped Toughill with a vicious combination that was punctuated by a nasty left hook in the 7th round that sent Toughill to the canvas. Toughill got up, but was in no condition to continue, en de wedstrijd werd gestopt op 1:01.

Met de overwinning, the fighter dubbed “Pretty Beast” nu 9-0 met vier knockouts.

With the win over the 17 fight veteran, Dixon of Louisville, nu 8-1 met zes knockouts.

Split-T Management’s Chris Pearson Scores Unanimous Decision Win over Previously Undefeated Olympic Bronze Medal Winner Yamaguchi Falcao in Las Vegas

NEW YORK (Mei 3, 2019) –Middleweight contender Chris Pearson scored a major victory over previously undefeated Olympic Bronze Medal winner Yamaguchi Falcao in a 10-round bout at The Joint at The Hard Rock in Las Vegas.


The win netted Pearson the WBO Latino Middleweight title.


Pearson boxed very well as he befuddled Falcao, and consistently beat the former amateur star to the punch throughout the contest.


Pearson, who already held a win over Falcao in the World Series of Boxing, repeated the verdict of 2011 by using good head-speed that saw the judges scorecards read 97-93 en 96-94 tweemaal.


The win will gain Pearson a high-ranking in the WBO, and improves the Trotwood, Ohio native’s record to 17-2.


This was the 3rd consecutive win for Pearson, who is managed by Split-T Management.


“My plan was to be patient and control the pace. I was able to capitalize on him being a bit slower then me,” said Pearson. “This win gets me back to where I need to be.”


“I’m blessed with this victory,” continued Pearson. “Nobody knows the trials I’ve gone through. If I can be someone that inspires, then I’ll be happy. I’m going to rest for a couple days and then get right back to the gym.”

Split-T Management Fighters Pick Up Four Wins In New York City

Ivan Golub, Normatov, Ceballo and Williams reign Victorious



NEW YORK (April 12 2019)–This past Wednesday night at Sony Hall in the heart of Manhattan, four prized members of the Split-T Management stable had their hand raised in victory on a DiBella Entertainment Broadway Boxing card.

In het main event, weltergewicht Ivan Golub defended his WBC USNBC title with an easy ten-round unanimous decision over Manuel Alejandro Reyes.

Golub used good body work in the beginning of the fight that slowly set up hard right hands, and the Ukranian came home with the victory by scores of 100-90 tweemaal, en 99-91 to raise his impressive mark to 16-1.

Junior middengewicht Hurshidbek Normatov won a six-round unanimous decision over Calvin Metcalf.

Normatov of Uzbekistan established his jab early, and dropped Metcalf with a right hook in the 3rd frame. Metcalf (9-2) was able to survive, but it was to no avail as Normatov won by scores of 60-53 on all cards and his his mark to 8-0.

Five-time New York Golden Gloves champion, Brian Ceballo was impressive in stopping Ricardo Garcia in the 2nd round of their welterweight contest.

Ceballo of New York City decked Garcia in round two with a perfect right hand to the chin. Garcia was able to get to his feet, but Ceballo was able to pummel Garcia with a combination, en de wedstrijd werd gestopt op 2:33.

Split-T Management Signs 21-Time National Amateur Champion Otha Jones III

NIEUW YORK (Januari 16, 2019) — Split-T Management is proud to announce the signing of 21-time National Amateur Champion, Otha Jones III to a managerial contract.

De 18 year-old Toledo native was among the top talents in the United States, as he compiled a staggering 283-13 amateur record, highlighted by representing Team USA in several international tournaments including winning a Gold Medal at the International Youth Continental Americas Tournament and Silver Medal at the Emil Jechev Memorial Tournament as well as winning several national tournaments, such as the winning gold medals in United States National Championships (Tweemaal) and the World Championship Qualifier.

Jones, who was also a four-time State Wrestling Champion, was influenced to sign with Split-T Management because of what the company has done for his gym mates.

“After seeing the hard work and dedication and excellence that Split-T Management has shown to my teammates Charles Conwell and Isaiah Steen, I definitely could not think of signing with anyone else,” zei Jones.  Split-T is definitely the best management team in boxing. I am honored to be a part of the team.”

Jones’ dad, also named Otha, shares the same sentiments as his son.

“Based upon the quality of boxers that Split-T Management has signed, and been successful at moving, it was just a natural progression that I would sign my son with them,” said the elder Otha.

Split-T Management feels that Jones will captivate the boxing world because of his fan friendly style that is reminiscent of fellow Ohio native, Aaron Pryor, as he fights aggressively while throwing nonstop punches from all different angles with power.

Said Tim Van Newhouse of Split-T Management, “At a conventional or southpaw stance, Otha is a relentless pressure fighter, who is composed beyond his years, with a dynamic blend of aggression, snelheid en kracht.
