BLAIR “LE FLAIR” COBBS EXCITÉS PAR LE RETOUR DE LA BAGUE À EL PASO

LOS ANGELES, COMME (Mai 24, 2021) – L’un des poids welters les plus excitants de tous les retours de boxe en juin 19, 2021, quand Blair «The Flair» Cobbs (14-0-1, 9 KOs), combats décorés amateur et vétéran du sport, Brad Salomon (29-3, 9 KOs). Le combat en dix rounds, qui se déroule à l'Université du Texas au Don Haskins Center d'El Paso, sera diffusé en direct sur DAZN en tant que premier combat télévisé sur le Jaime Munguia vs. Maciej Sulecki carte.

Cobbs s'est battu pour la dernière fois le week-end de la Saint-Valentin de 2020, gagner une décision partagée sur Samuel Kotey Neequaye. Cobbs est hors du ring depuis plus d'un an et a apporté des changements à son équipe qui, selon lui, l'aideront à progresser dans sa carrière..

“J'ai pris la décision de déménager à Hollywood et de m'entraîner avec Freddie Roach au gymnase de boxe Wild Card, parce que j'avais besoin d'un changement,” dit Cobbs. “Être au gymnase avec Freddie tous les jours et voir tous les grands combattants et les nouveaux visages m'a à nouveau excité.. Je veux vraiment faire connaître mon héritage comme l'un des meilleurs gars du sport.”

Deerfield Beach, FL (Octobre 31, 2018)—Roberto Garcia wants to reclaim his WBC Silver Belt Championship and what better way than to match him up with England’s Liam Smith for the vacant title.

Garcia (41-4, 24 KOs), who has been in training since losing his Silver belt to Martin Murray in a 12-round unanimous decision on June 23, is ready to take on the durable Smith (26-2-1, 14 KOs) for the belt.

“I saw Smith’s fight against Jaime Munguia for the WBO Super Welterweight title on television,”A déclaré Garcia. “It was an all-out war and I feel that the two of us can bring the same type of fight and intensity into the ring for the title. I’m ready to go.”

Smith went the distance in Las Vegas with Munguia and lost his interim WBO Super Welterweight title, which he had won in beating Liam Williams on April 8, 2017 and defended in a rematch with Williams on Nov. 11, 2017 in winning a majority decision.

“Garcia is ready to make the fight with Liam Smith and so is his promoter, Don King,” said manager Lee Holliday. “Both of these fighters are true warriors, so let’s get it on for the title.”

All it takes is a phone call from promoter Frank Warren to Don King and the fight will be on.

Deerfield Beach, FL (Juillet 25, 2018)—Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin’s rematch is all set for Mexican Independence Day on September 15e à Las Vegas, but what better way to add a little war to the card than having two Mexicans do battle.

 

 

 

Roberto Garcia just witnessed Jaime Munguia’s unanimous decision over Liam Smith on Saturday night and if Munguia is ready to return to the ring on September 15e, Garcia is ready as well.

 

 

 

“What better way to celebrate Mexican Independence Day than to have two Mexican’s do battle,”A déclaré Garcia. “We are both warriors. One veteran taking on one youngster. We both come to fight. Let’s get it on.”

 

 

 

Garcia is thankful to Zanfer Promotions (Munguia’s co-promoter with Golden Boy) for giving him his career defining fight against Julio Cesar Chavez’s son, Omar Chavez.

 

 

Garcia won that fight on Aug. 12, 2017 in a 10-round unanimous decision to win the WBC Silver Middleweight title.

 

 

 

Garcia lost his title in his first defense after traveling to England and losing a unanimous 12-round decision to Martin Murray on June 23, 2018.

 

 

“Two warriors doing battle, “Thunder vs Lightning” , both fighters coming forward all night , I’ll KO the “Kid” somewhere late in the fight or I win by unanimous decision.”

Allemagne, United States and Latvia Play Host to WBO Bouts

L'Organisation mondiale de boxe (WBO), présidé par Francisco « Paco » Valcárcel, will celebrate five interesting title fights; two of which are for world championships. The bouts will take place this Saturday, Mai 12.

 

 

 

Brooklyn native Saddam “World Kid” Ali (26-1, 14 KO), coming off the most important victory of his career against legendary Puerto Rican boxer Miguel Cotto, makes the first defense of his WBO junior middleweight world title, when he faces the dangerous Mexican Jaime Munguía (28-0, 24 KO). The fight will take place at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York. The fight will be televised live on HBO at 10:00 p.m. ET.

 

 

 

“We will have a lot of activity this Saturday from the WBO. You have to pay close attention to the performance of the huge puncher Jaime Munguía, who will face a good attacker like Ali. It’s going to be a classic fight of puncher against a boxer. If Munguía wins, he would be placed on a select list of great Mexican boxers who have been world champions at or before 21 years of age”, said Valcárcel.

 

 

 

In Augsburg, Allemagne, women’s boxing takes the stage when the popular former world champion Nikki Adler (16-1, 9 KO) of Germany and the world contender Femke Hermans (6-1, 3 KO) of Belgium, face each other for the vacant WBO world belt of the super middleweight division. The fight will be in the Eisstadion in Augsburg.

 

 

 

“We remain committed and supportive of women’s boxing. Germany is no exception. This great fight has the community looking on because there is a world title at stake and the fight will be liked by the public”, said Valcárcel.

 

In Latvia, three WBO International titles will be in play in 12-round duels in an evening at the Riga Arena. For the vacant International junior middleweight belt, the 13th ranked Ismail Iliev (10-0-1, 3 KO) of Nazran, Russia will face Konstantin Ponomarev (33-0, 13 KO) of Miass, Russie.

 

 

 

Aussi, the WBO International Lightweight Champion and 5th ranked Isa Chaniev (12-1, 6 KO) of Nazran, Russie, will defend his title against the strong Venezuelan puncher, Ismael Barroso (20-1-2, 19 KO).

 

 

 

For the vacant middleweight WBO International belt, Artur Akavov (18-2, 12 KO) from Russia, will face against Argentina’s Gonzalo Coria (12-1, 5 KO).

 

 

 

“We are making a presence in eastern Europe. Ce temps, it was Latvia’s turn to have boxers who are already ranked in the top positions of the WBO and for the rest of the year, could be fighting for world titles”, expressed Varcárcel.
