NOVICE CLASS FINALS RESULTS FROM LOWELL
LOWELL, 質量. (二月 19, 2016) – Fourteen 2016 New England Tournament of Champions winners were crowned last night in the novice class of 70日 annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Team Central produced the most individual winners with seven, followed by Team Western with five, and Team Central had two.
The unofficial fight of the night was between Salem, MA量級 Kenny Larson (Team Central) and his Dorchester, MA opponent Jarrod LoMax (Team Southern), in which Larson won a three-round decision, 3-2.

(Greater Lowell) heavyweight final rematch, due to a round-time issue, Methuen’s Jesus Flores (Canal Street Boxing) defeated Haverhill’s John Roche (Haverhill Downtown Boxing) by the same score as their original match in another thrilling, back-and-forth bout ending a in three-round decision (5-0). The crosstown rivalry between the two gyms and boxers led up to another compelling match with Flores qualifying for 星期三 night’s open class semifinals of the New England Tournament of Champions.
The New England Tournament of Champions open class semifinals and finals will be held next Wednesday 和 星期四evenings, 分別, at Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
The Outstanding New England Boxer in the novice class will be presented to the winner 本週三 night at the N.E. open semifinals.

Jeter Promotions signs undefeated Welterweight Steve Weimer

York, PA (二月 17, 2016) – Jeter Promotions is pleased to announce the signing of undefeated Welterweight prospect Steve Weimer to an exclusive promotional contract.
Weimer of York, PA. 有創紀錄 9-0 with two knockouts and is looking to get back in the ring following a four-year hiatus.
Weimer did not leave the ring because of the usual boxing stereotypes, but he took some time off to get his college degree. Weimer graduated from York College with a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology.
Weimer, 現在 26 years-old had an amateur record of 105-31 was a three-time Pennsylvania Junior Golden Gloves champion and and also won a Pennsylvania open class Golden Gloves title. Tony Jeter is a Middleweight contender who twice cracked the world rankings and fought Chris Eubank Jr. for the WBA Interim Middleweight title. Jeter formed his promotional company and promoted 20 事件. Jeter is a licensed promoter in Maryland, 華盛頓, Virginia and is waiting to receive a promoters license in Pennsylvania.

LOWELL, 質量. (二月 11, 2016) – Team Central had the edge in last night’s novice class semifinals of the New England Tournament of Champions, part of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, at Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Team Central had five individual winners, followed by Team South and Team West with three victories and Team North had two. The novice class finals of the N.E. Tournament of Champions will be held 星期四, 二月. 18 at Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
The Fight of the Night was the light heavyweight match of the novice class as Team South’s Henry Ventura (ñ. Dartmouth, 嘛) overcame two knockdowns to defeat Team North’s Tyler Jacques (聖. Albans, VT) who was dropped once and also had a standing eight count, by way of a unanimous decision (5-0).

LOWELL, 質量. (二月 5, 2016) – Peter Welch’s Gym in South Boston dominated last night’s Central New England (Greater Lowell) championship final round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, open and novice classes, at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Peter Welch’s Gym had seven winners last night: open – Hyde Park welterweight Jennifer Perella and Brookline light welterweight 亞伯拉罕新星; novice – Dorchester lightweightJonathen DePina 和中量級 布萊恩勞倫斯, East Boston lightweight Claire Duffy 輕中量級, Boston light welterweight Katie Gregory and Franklin heavyweight Jared Gately.
Lowell West End Gym and Grealish Boston had the second-most winners last evening with two apiece.

(二月 2, 2016) – Thirty-eight surviving amateur boxers will compete in 19 scheduled matches this Thursday night (二月. 4) the Central New England (Greater Lowell) final round, open and novice divisions, of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
All CNE finals winners will advance to the New England Tournament of Champions, also held at Lowell Memorial Auditorium, later this month.

LOWELL, 質量. (一月 29, 2016) – For the second week in a row all 13 matches went the three-round distance in last night’s Central New England (Greater Lowell) semifinals round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, featuring open and novice class action, at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Returning New England welterweight champion 澤維爾維加, representing Canal Street Boxing in Lawrence (嘛), 是 4-1 winner against Michael Fontenez, of Nashua, NH.
Peter Welch’s Gym in South Boston led the hit parade with three winners, all in the novice class: 輕量級 喬納森Depina, 次中量級 Lipi Fernandes 和中量級 布萊恩勞倫斯. The 21-year-old Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing, faces Nashua (NH) 挑戰者 Michael Fontanez in one of eight open class matches. There are also eight novice class matches scheduled.

LOWELL, 質量. (一月 23, 2016) – The Central New England (Greater Lowell) quarterfinals round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship was held last night at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium with 13 highly competitive matches in the novice class.
所有 13 matches went the three-round distance for 39 rounds of action that the large crowed enjoyed from start to finish. The super heavyweight match between Dorchester’s 381-pound Ivens Derival and Haverhill’s 266-pound Kyle Davis was of special especially because of their respective sizes. Davis won by way of a three-round decision, 4-1, in a back-and-forth match that had fans standing throughout.
