NOVICE CLASS FINALS RESULTS FROM LOWELL
LOWELL, Маса. (Лютого 19, 2016) – Fourteen 2016 New England Tournament of Champions winners were crowned last night in the novice class of 70ї annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Team Central produced the most individual winners with seven, followed by Team Western with five, and Team Central had two.
The unofficial fight of the night was between Salem, М. А. у напівсередній вазі Kenny Larson (Team Central) and his Dorchester, MA opponent Jarrod LoMax (Team Southern), in which Larson won a three-round decision, 3-2.

(Greater Lowell) heavyweight final rematch, due to a round-time issue, Methuen’s Jesus Flores (Canal Street Boxing) defeated Haverhill’s John Roche (Haverhill Downtown Boxing) by the same score as their original match in another thrilling, back-and-forth bout ending a in three-round decision (5-0). The crosstown rivalry between the two gyms and boxers led up to another compelling match with Flores qualifying for Середа night’s open class semifinals of the New England Tournament of Champions.

Jeter Promotions signs undefeated Welterweight Steve Weimer

York, Пенсільванія (Лютого 17, 2016) – Jeter Promotions is pleased to announce the signing of undefeated Welterweight prospect Steve Weimer to an exclusive promotional contract.
Weimer of York, Пенсільванія. є запис про 9-0 with two knockouts and is looking to get back in the ring following a four-year hiatus.
Weimer did not leave the ring because of the usual boxing stereotypes, but he took some time off to get his college degree. Weimer graduated from York College with a degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology.

Jeter formed his promotional company and promoted 20 події. Jeter is a licensed promoter in Maryland, Вашингтон., Virginia and is waiting to receive a promoters license in Pennsylvania.

LOWELL, Маса. (Лютого 11, 2016) – Team Central had the edge in last night’s novice class semifinals of the New England Tournament of Champions, part of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, at Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Team Central had five individual winners, followed by Team South and Team West with three victories and Team North had two. The novice class finals of the N.E. Tournament of Champions will be held Четвер, Лютого. 18 at Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
The Fight of the Night was the light heavyweight match of the novice class as Team South’s Henry Ventura (N. Dartmouth, Массачусетс) overcame two knockdowns to defeat Team North’s Tyler Jacques (Вулиця. Albans, Вермонт) who was dropped once and also had a standing eight count, by way of a unanimous decision (5-0).

LOWELL, Маса. (Лютого 5, 2016) – Peter Welch’s Gym in South Boston dominated last night’s Central New England (Greater Lowell) championship final round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, open and novice classes, at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Peter Welch’s Gym had seven winners last night: open – Hyde Park welterweight Jennifer Perella and Brookline light welterweight Abraham Nova; novice – Dorchester lightweightJonathen DePina і в середньому Брайан Лоуренс, East Boston lightweight Claire Duffy напівлегка вага, Boston light welterweight Katie Gregory and Franklin heavyweight Jared Gately.

LOWELL, Маса. (Лютого 2, 2016) – Thirty-eight surviving amateur boxers will compete in 19 scheduled matches this Thursday night (Лютого. 4) the Central New England (Greater Lowell) final round, open and novice divisions, of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
All CNE finals winners will advance to the New England Tournament of Champions, also held at Lowell Memorial Auditorium, later this month.

LOWELL, Маса. (Січень 29, 2016) – For the second week in a row all 13 matches went the three-round distance in last night’s Central New England (Greater Lowell) semifinals round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, featuring open and novice class action, at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Returning New England welterweight champion Ксавьє Вега, representing Canal Street Boxing in Lawrence (Массачусетс), був 4-1 winner against Michael Fontenez, of Nashua, Нью-Гемпшир.
Peter Welch’s Gym in South Boston led the hit parade with three winners, all in the novice class: легкий Jonathan Depina, напівсередній Lipi Fernandes і в середньому Брайан Лоуренс. (Січень 25, 2016) – Returning New England Golden Gloves welterweight champion Ксавьє Вега, Лоуренс (Массачусетс), leads a host of talented open and novice class amateur boxers into this Thursday night’s (Січень. 8) in the Central New England (Greater Lowell) semifinals of the 70ї annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
The 21-year-old Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing, faces Nashua (Нью-Гемпшир) претендент Michael Fontanez in one of eight open class matches. There are also eight novice class matches scheduled.
Vega, who has a 33-3 любительські записи, didn’t start boxing until he was 17 because he has only one kidney. A construction worker by day, Vega hopes to become a professional boxer and, якщо не, a Lawrence police officer in order to give back to his community.

LOWELL, Маса. (Січень 23, 2016) – The Central New England (Greater Lowell) quarterfinals round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship was held last night at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium with 13 highly competitive matches in the novice class.
Всі 13 matches went the three-round distance for 39 rounds of action that the large crowed enjoyed from start to finish. The super heavyweight match between Dorchester’s 381-pound Ivens Derival and Haverhill’s 266-pound Kyle Davis was of special especially because of their respective sizes. Davis won by way of a three-round decision, 4-1, in a back-and-forth match that had fans standing throughout.

Proceeds from the Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship go towards sending the New England Golden Gloves champions to the National Golden Gloves Championship (2016 in Salt Lake City, Юта), in addition to supporting local athletes and area gyms, the Boys & Girls Club, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, cancer funds, scholarships and many other great charitable causes.
