SUGAR PROMOTIONS “NEW BLOOD”CARD IN MEXICO, SET FOR FEB 2ND

AGUASCALIENTES, MX (January 9, 2018) – Damien Vazquez’ Sugar Promotions, will promote its card titled “New Blood”, featuring Issac “Canelito” Avelar (13-0, 8 KOs), vs. Alejandro Frias (6-2-1, 3 KOs), fighting for the WBC FECOMBOX Featherweight title in a 10-round main-event.  The bout will take place at the Palenque de la Feria in Aguascalientes, Mexico on February 2, 2018.
Issac “Canelito” Avelar, who is managed by Prince Ranch Boxing, is looking to make a statement in his hometown after having his last fight delayed due to a minor hand injury.
“I am ready to show my hometown fans why I will be fighting the best fighters in the world,” said Issac Avelar. “I was supposed to fight last December, but it was delayed, because of a small hand injury. I took that time to improve as a fighter and I am 100% healthy.  Everyone will see the best version of Canelito on February 2nd“
“Canelito is a big star in Aguascalientes, Mexico where he was born and raised,” Oscar Vazquez, president of Sugar Promotions stated. “We are excited to put on a show with great local talent.  Canelito is a homegrown hero from Aguascalientes, Mexico and it is exciting to promote such a massive event.  Everyone in town will be here.”
“NEW BLOOD” also features undefeated bantamweight Damien “Sugar” Vazquez (12-0, 6 KOs) vs. TBA, unbeaten super-featherweight Edwing Davila (16-0, 9 KOs), vs. Octavio Guardado, Lightweight Donovan Estrella (10-0, 4 KOs) vs. Antonio Camacho, Mayran Reyes vs. Naomi Arellano, Christina Mora vs. TBA and light heavyweight Kye Brooks (1-0, 1 KO) vs. Ivan Sanchez.  Damian Vasquez has his sights set on fighting McJoe Arroyo(17-2, 8 KOs) before the year is over.

King’s Promotions signs undefeated fighters Damian “Sugar” Vazquez and Blake Cameron Mansfield

Reading, PA (October 19, 2016)–King’s Promotions has announced the signing of undefeated flyweight Damian “Sugar” Vazquez and super middleweight Blake Cameron Mansfield to promotional contracts.
Vazquez of Las Vegas, Nevada has a record of 8-0 with three knockouts.

The former amateur sensation was a multiple-time National champion and Ringside World champion.

The 19 year-old Vazquez turned professional at age 16 with a 1st round stoppage over Miguel Meneses.  He has won every bout, and captured the NABF Junior Flyweight title with 8 round unanimous decision over former three-time world title challenger Omar Soto.  He made one defense of the title with 8 round unanimous decision over Edwin Reyes (4-1-2).  In his last bout, Vazquez won a six-round unanimous decision over Javier Lapizco (7-1) on October 14, 2015 in Glendale, Arizona.
 Damian is the nephew of the Great Mexican Champ, Israel Vazquez.

He’s been doing a great job promoting big fights, and to us one he is of the best promoters in boxing,”said Vazquez.  “I’m ready to step back into the ring and show everybody there’s a new young gun in town, and I’m determined to be the Sheriff.”

Mansfield of Burlington, North Carolina has a 3-0-1 with 2 knockouts.

The 28 year-old has been a professional for just 16 months, when he stopped Tybarrius Spears in one round.  He also has a win over Hakeem Atkinson.  He is coming off a draw with regarded Quinton Rankin (11-2) on July 23rd in Durham, North Carolina.
