BROOKLYN (מרץ 17, 2016) – אלוף עולם לשעבר כריס Algieri is excited to cheer on his alma mater, the Stony Brook University Seawolves, as they hit the court for the first men’s basketball NCAA Tournament game in the school’s history.

“The program has come such a long way over the past few years,” Algieri continued. “It is an inspiration to see what hard work and determination can do. This is their first ever trip to March Madness and I think they can be the latest ‘Cinderella’ story to come out of the tournament.”
The 13ה-seeded Seawolves will take on the fourth-seed Kentucky Wildcats in Des Moines, איווה הלילה in the first round of the East Regional, with tip-off scheduled for 9:40 p.m. ו.
“I know what it’s like to be the underdog,” סעיד Algieri. “I’ve been the underdog numerous times in my life and career and it’s all about digging deep and having the heart of a champion. I know those guys on the Stony Brook team have that championship mettle.”
