GH3 Promotions signs undefeated Heavyweight John Luna to a Promotional Contract

Nutley, NJ (Oktober 18, 2016)–GH3 Promotions is pleased to announce the signing of undefeated heavyweight prospect John Luna to a promotional contract.
Luna of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, har en registrering av 2-0 med ett knockout.
Den 20 year-old is 6’4″ and weighs 255 pounds, began boxing at the age of six years-old when his mother, who is a big boxing fan, took John to the gym.
John went on to an amateur career that saw him go 97-9 and win five national championships.
John also competed in Russia and in 2012, he won a prestigious tournament and in the same tournament two years later, Luna placed second in his division, but still was named the Most Outstanding Fighter.

Luna turned professional on June 16th with a first round stoppage over Rene Ibarra in Mexico. he came back to his hometown of Milwaukee and and took a four-round unanimous decision over Oswaldo Ortega on August 20th,

Luna is managed by Henry Rivalta.

“I signed with Henry because he is a great man and I trust him,” said Luna. “He mentioned GH3 Promotions and i researched them, and they have a lot of good young talent. I feel this is the right way to go.”

Manager Henry Rivalta stated, “John has a very exciting style. He has fast hands he switches between orthodox and southpaw, and he has a lot of potential. He is a humble kid and he listens. When you have a kid like that, he has the potential to go a long way, and I am proud to sign him with GH3 Promotions.”

King’s Promotions signs undefeated fighters Damian “Sukker” Vazquez and Blake Cameron Mansfield

Reading, PA (Oktober 19, 2016)–King’s Promotions has announced the signing of undefeated flyweight Damian “Sukker” Vazquez og super mellomvekt Blake Cameron Mansfield to promotional contracts.
Vazquez of Las Vegas, Nevada has a record of 8-0 med tre knockouts.

The former amateur sensation was a multiple-time National champion and Ringside World champion.

He has won every bout, and captured the NABF Junior Flyweight title with 8 round unanimous decision over former three-time world title challenger Omar Soto. He made one defense of the title with 8 round unanimous decision over Edwin Reyes (4-1-2). I sin siste kamp, Vazquez won a six-round unanimous decision over Javier Lapizco (7-1) oktober 14, 2015 i Glendale, Arizona.
Damian is the nephew of the Great Mexican Champ, Israel Vazquez.

Uncasville, Conn. (Oktober 18, 2016) – Connecticut Boxing Hall of Fame (CBHOF) har annonsert sin 2016 prisvinnere, including its first female Boxer of the Year, popular super bantamweight Shelly “Shelito Way” Vincent.

From my hometown of Waterbury comes world renowned boxing judge and referee Johnny “Duke” Lawson. This year’s class of boxers and officials of the year is incredibly accomplished and includes the first woman professional Boxer of the Year, Shelly Vincent. Greg Cohen Promotions Signs German Welterweight Contender Rico Mueller to Promotional Contract

Greg Cohen of Greg Cohen Promotions proudly announces the signing of IBF #10-rated welterweight contender Rico Mueller of Germany.
Already the current IBO Inter-Continental Welterweight Champion, Mueller (20-1-1, 14 KOs) is scheduled to face IBF #3 Jeff Horn on Oktober 21 at the Sleeman Sports Complex in Queensland, Australia, in an eliminator for the IBF’s #2 contender position.
With current champion Kell Brook rumored to be moving up in weight, if 28-year-old Mueller is victorious against Horn, he would likely find himself in line to fight top contender Errol Spence Jr., for the vacant world championship, since they would be rated #1 og #2 henholdsvis.
“Big things are happening in my career and I need the right representation to help guide my career,” said Mueller. “Greg Cohen Promotions has a long history of moving their fighters to the championship level and I’m happy to be onboard.”
Cohen says he’s happy to be adding an international talent like Mueller to his promotional roster.

“Boxing has obviously undergone a shift, with a large percentage of its talent now located in Europe. I’m honored and happy that Rico recognized my company for its focus on world talent and I will work hard to put him in the big fights. He’s an excellent fighter with the right work ethic to become world champion.”
Mueller will be in tough against Horn, who stopped one of the most dangerous fighters in boxing, former multi world champion Randall Bailey, in his last ring appearance.

“Rico is tough and he knows the challenge in front of him,” sa Cohen, “but he’s a tremendous talent and I see him rolling along to an impressive victory. LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (Oktober 14, 2016) - Rising Dallas, Texas boxing star and NABO Junior Welterweight Champion Maurice “Mighty Mo” Hooker (21-0-2, 16 KOs) will defend his NABA junior welterweight title against Darleys Perez (33-2-1, 21 KOs) in a ten-round bout on the televised undercard of Kovalev-Ward “Pound For Pound” on Lørdag, November. 19 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will be produced and distributed live on HBO Pay-Per-View® beginning at 9:00 pm. OG/6:00 pm. PT.

 

I sin siste opptreden på August 6, Maurice “Mighty Mo” Hooker captivated the crowd at Oracle Arena as the co-feature of Andre Ward vs. Alexander Brand. Hooker wasted no time outperforming Washington D.C.’s Tyrone Barnett, landing a flurry of punches before scoring a technical knockout at the 2:17 mark of the opening round to retain his NABO junior welterweight title. Hooker looks ahead to his next challenge, former WBA World Lightweight Champion Darleys Perez. Perez is coming off a Mai 20 knockout victory over fellow Colombian Ubadel Soto, an impressive bounce back following a tough title defense loss to Anthony Crolla, the previous year. The veteran fighter, who resides and trains full-time in the U.S., will step up a weight class to meet Hooker.

Maurice “Mighty Mo” Hooker (21-0-2, 16 KOs) was born and raised in Oak Cliff, Texas, where he found a boxing home at Maple Avenue Boxing Gym by way of an outreach program for at-risk youths. His natural talent was soon noticed resulting in him competing as an amateur, during which time he participated in over 100 kamper, compiling a record of 97 wins and only seven losses, med 67 victories coming by way of knockout. Hooker turned professional on April 29, 2011, taking on the vastly more experienced Tyrone Chatman at the Orpheum Theater in St. Louis. After four rounds, the judges saw the fight 40-36, 37-39 og 38-38, calling the fight a split draw. Undeterred, in his next fight on June 24, 2014, Hooker scored his first professional win, knocking out Wilbert Mitchell in the first round. Eleven wins (eight by knockout) later, he took on undefeated Abel Ramos on January 17, 2014 in a bout that was featured on ShoBox from the Cook Convention Center in Memphis. After eight close, hard-fought rounds, the judges saw the fight a draw. Four consecutive knockout victories would follow before he took on fellow undefeated prospect Eduardo Galindo on June 26, 2015 at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas for the vacant NABO junior welterweight title. “Mighty Mo” did not disappoint his legion of hometown fans who saw him capture the title with a sixth round technical knockout victory. Oktober 17, 2015, Hooker successfully defended his title at Madison Square Garden in New York City against his toughest opponent to date in Ghislain Maduma. The 10-round decision win came on the undercard of Gennady Golovkin vs. David Lemieux and was featured on the event’s “freeview” as well as streamed online around the world. “Mighty Mo” made his debut under the Roc Nation Sports banner on the undercard of Andre Ward vs. Sullivan Barrera, this past March at Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, where he annihilated opponent Wilfrido “La Roca” Buelvas of Columbia in the first round of a 10-round junior welterweight bout by way of technical knockout. Hooker returned to Oracle Arena on August 6 as the co-feature on the Ward-Brand undercard, defeating Tyrone Barnett of Washington, D.C, to remain the NABO Junior Welterweight Champion. Hooker is ready to step up to the challenge on November 19 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas when he faces former WBA World Lightweight Champion Darleys Perez.

Darleys Perez (33-2-1, 21 KOs) is a celebrated Colombian boxer hailing from San Pedro de Uraba. We also recap UFC 204, headlined by an epic five round battle between Dan Henderson and Michael Bisping. “I’m an underdog and I have been my whole life. There are very few options for a Latin immigrant all the way up in Canada. I beat the odds to make it up there and have a life and a family.
“I’m a guy with just over 10 amateur fights and I’ve made it this far. Danny Garcia is my chance. I have to make the best of it and give it my all. This is everything for me.”
JARRETT HURD
“I’ve been to Philadelphia a couple times and the city has welcomed me. I just want to put on another show. This will get me one step closer to my dream of fighting for a title.

Garcia, a two-division world champion, will battle Vargas in a 10-round non-title bout in his first fight since his exciting win over Robert “The Ghost” Warrior i januar. Garcia insisted on staging the fight in his hometown and using the event as a vehicle to raise awareness and money for the less fortunate in the area.
“My dad and I wanted to get one more fight in before the end of the year and there was no doubt in my mind it had to be in Philadelphia,” Said Garcia. “My team got it done and it’s a great feeling to fight at home over the holidays. Fortuna is a decent fighter and I’m going to have to break him down. He is good for four or five rounds but then he slows down. I’m going to set him up to take him out in the later rounds.”

Garcia returns to headline in his hometown as a two-division world champion who has picked up major victories over top fighters including Amir Khan, Lucas Matthysse, Lamont Peterson, Paulie Malignaggi and Zab Judah on his way to 31 professional victories. The 28-year-old earned a vacant welterweight world title in his last bout when he won a toe-to-toe battle with former world champion Guerrero in Los Angeles taking his professional record to 32-0.
The 27-year-old Vargas enters this bout on a five-fight win streak including three stoppage victories including his most recent outing, a 10-round decision over Juan Armando Garcia in May. Born in Columbia, his family left to find a better life when he was 15 years old and after a brief stay in New York City, they moved to the Toronto suburb of Mississauga. Vargas enrolled at a boxing gym early on and learned discipline while adapting to his surroundings. Han ble proff i 2010 after just 12 amateur bouts and was undefeated in his first 16 fights while fighting out of Canada.
Hurd fights out of Accokeek, Md., just south of Washington, Likespenning. and is perfect since entering the pro ranks in 2012. The 26-year-old has faced three straight undefeated fighters including a sixth-round stoppage of Frank Galarza in 2015 and a 10th-round TKO over Oscar Molina in the co-main event of the Keith Thurman vs. Shawn Porter card in June. The exciting boxer-puncher will look to continue his climb to a world title onNovember 12.
A powerful puncher sporting an 88 percent knockout rate, Cota made his U.S. debut in August of 2015 and upset Cuban Olympic silver medalist Yudel Jhonson while knocking him down twice over the 10-round bout. The fighter out of Sinaloa, Mexico is entering this fight with nine straight wins, including six by way of knockout. The 27-year-old will be making his first ring appearance of 2016.
