Undefeated Ruben Villa weighs in for Tonight’s battle with Miguel Carrizoza

He likes to come forward and get you onto the ropes or just backpedaling. I know how to fight guys like that. Michael Dutchover (11-0, 8 KOs) Delivered Another Knockout Win on Friday Night

(Set. 24, 2018) Pes lleuger Jr. Michael Dutchover (11-0, 8 KOs) put on another impressive performance on Friday night, this time knocking out the bigger Bergman Aguilar (14-4-1, 4 KOs) in the fifth round of Thompson Boxing’s “New Blood” esdeveniment principal.

 

 

 

Holandès, 20, used controlled body punching to end Aguilar’s night in the fifth round of a scheduled 8-round fight. The Midland, Texas native, who conducts training camp in Los Angeles, zeroed in on the body from the outset.

 

A pinpoint left hook to the body sent Aguilar to one knee in the fourth round. By the fifth, Dutchover had knockout on his mind.

 

 

 

“Once I started letting my hands go, that’s when things started opening up,” va dir holandès, qui és promogut per Promocions de pancartes i boxa de Thompson. “In the third round I turned up the pace. By the fourth everything started to click. I rocked him with some body shots and got a knockdown. I knew he was getting tired. FILADÈLFIA, Penn. / TARONJA, Califòrnia. (Juliol 23, 2018) – Junior lightweight Michael Dutchover (10-0, 7 KOs), captivated a sold-out crowd with an electrifying one-punch knockout of Sergio Ramirez (4-3, 4 KOs) Divendres night from the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Califòrnia.

The closeout punch, a right hand on Ramirez’s chin, occurred at the :43 marca de la segona ronda.
“I timed it just right,” said the 20-year-old Dutchover. “He came at me with a lazy punch, and I just unloaded that right hand, and he dropped like a fly.”
Dutchover barely broke a sweat in his tenth career win. The Texas native, who conducts his training camps in Los Angeles with trainer and manager Danny Zamora, made his 8-round debut, but clearly didn’t need the rounds to score what is likely his most emphatic win to date.
“You go into every fight expecting a tough challenge,” Dutchover said. “I was ready to go the full eight rounds, but I’m glad I was able to end it early and give the fans something to talk about.”

Top Prospect Michael Dutchover Headlines on July 20 a Ontario, TAL COM

FILADÈLFIA, Penn. / TARONJA, Califòrnia. (Juliol 13, 2018) – Michael Dutchover (9-0, 6 KOs), who is among the brightest young talents in the junior lightweight division, takes the next step in his professional career when he headlines “Path to Glory” el divendres, Juliol 20.

 

 

 

The marquee attraction is Dutchover’s first since turning professional nearly two years ago. The 20-year-old out of Midland, Test. faces Mexico’s Sergio Ramirez (4-2, 4 KOs)from the Doubletree Hotel in Ontario, Califòrnia.

 

 

 

“It’s an incredible feeling to be in the main event,” va dir holandès, who signed with Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing in 2016. “Everything has moved really fast for me. It wasn’t too long ago that I was on undercards fighting four round fights.”

Ruben Villa Wins WBO Youth Title Saturday Night in Front of Hometown Fans

FILADÈLFIA, Penn. / TARONJA, Califòrnia. (Abril 16, 2018) – Prized prospect Ruben Villa(11-0, 4 KOs) continued his upward trajectory by thoroughly dismantling Marlon Olea (13-3, 12 KOs) to win the vacant WBO Youth Featherweight Title Saturday night from his hometown of Salinas, Califòrnia.

 

 

 

 

Vila, just days before his twenty-first birthday, headlined his first event and won his first title in front of a raucous home crowd. The southpaw delivered an impressive performance, winning every round on all three scorecards (80-72 x3).

 

 

 

 

“It’s exactly how I wanted to end this night,” va dir Villa, promogut per Banner Promotions i Thompson Boxing. “I blocked out the crowd and just did what I had to do. Olea moves around a lot, but I was able to land whatever I wanted.”

 

 

 

 

After a feeling out first round, Villa turned up the heat in the second. Both hands began to split Olea’s guard, which became a constant theme throughout the 8-round title fight.

 

 

 

 

As in his other fights, Villa consistently landed a seldom used punch by most boxers, a stiff jab to the midsection that neutralized the Colombian’s attack.

(Abril 11, 2018) – La millor perspectiva de pes ploma Ruben Villa (10-0, 4 KOs)looks to add the first championship of his young career when he battles Colombian Marlon Olea (13-2, 12 KOs) pel vacant WBO Youth Title this Saturday night from the Salinas Storm House in Salinas, Califòrnia.

 

 

 

 

Vila, qui compleix 21 la setmana vinent, will be fighting in his hometown for the first time as a professional.

 

 

 

 

“There’s a lot of firsts for this fight,” Villa va dir. “It’s a great feeling to fight for a title and to do it in my home city with me as the headliner [also a first], És un somni fet realitat. These are the types of fights I’ve been working toward ever since I was little.”

 

 

 

 

The southpaw with fast hands and high IQ split his training camp from the arid climate of Riverside, Qualif., to the coastal weather of Salinas. Villa faced a variety of sparring partners to prepare for the quick hitting style that Olea will bring on Saturday night.

 

 

 

 

“The key to any training camp is to get tested against quality fighters,” va dir Villa, promogut per Banner Promotions i Thompson Boxing. “I went against boxers that were real slick with their movements, and others that came forward and threw a lot of punches. I feel confident in what I want to do against Olea.”

 

 

 

 

In addition to making his first headlining appearance on “New Blood,” Villa also fights for the first time at 8-rounds. He is coming off three straight 6-round unanimous decision victories. Until recently, Villa had won every round on every scorecard in his six decision wins with the exception of dropping one round on one scoresheet against Juan Sandoval in February.

 

 

 

 

Olea, for what it’s worth, holds a unanimous decision loss to WBA world champion Danny Roman from November of 2016. That matchup was contested at 122-pounds, while Saturday night’s fight is set for 126-pounds. Villa would appear to have the size advantage, as he is a natural featherweight with room to fill out as he gets older.

 

 

 

 

“In this sport, you take any advantage you can get,” Villa remarked. “He’s still a talented guy so I can’t get over confident on that.”
