Om Shane Mosley

“Sukker” Shane Mosley, er et globalt respekteret bokseikon og Hall of Famer. Han konkurrerede fra 1993 til 2016. European Super Featherweight Champion Samir Ziani calls out Tevin Farmer: “Farmer has chickened out” of WBC Eliminator

PARIS, Frankrig (April 18, 2021) – European Super Featherweight Champion Samir Ziani (32-3-1, 7 KOS) has called out Tevin “American Idol” Farmer (30-5-1, 6 KOS), former International Boxing Federation World Super Featherweight Champion, to fight June 5th for the WBC Silver belt in a World Boxing Council (WBC) elimination kamp. The winner would position himself for a title fight against WBC World champion Oscar Valdez.

The battle of left-handed super featherweights would be on the June 5th Triller pay-per-view card in Florida, headlined by undefeated World lightweight champion Teofimo Lopez (16-0) vs. George Kambosos, Jr. (19-0), supported by an exhibition fight between 4-time World heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield og Mike Tysonconqueror Kevin McBride.

According to Ziani’s manager Gary Hyde, was offered the WBC eliminator against Farmer and the Frenchman immediately accepted, while all has been quiet from Farmer.

“”I was excited to fight Farmer on a great Triller show,” Ziani said, “especially because it is my dream to win a World title in the United States. “I am surprised to hear that Farmer has chickened out of our fight, but I suppose je knows his boxing is slipping downwards.

Rangeret som nr. 11 af WBC, samt nr. 9 in the International Boxing Federation (IBF), the 30-year-old Ziani is the reigning EBU European champion, riding a 10-fight win streak. I sin seneste kamp (Syv. 5, 2020) and second title defense, Ziani dropped a bloody Alex Dilmaghian (19-1-1) three times en route to a 12th round win by technical knockout with 9-seconds left in what was a Fight of the Year candidate.

Ziani’s last loss was 4 ½ years ago to World title challenger and fellow Frenchman,Guillaume Frenois (41-1), by a razor-thin margin, 115-113 tre gange, i Paris. Tidligere i sin karriere, Ziani also suffered a disputed 10-round loss by decision (97-93, 96-94, 96-94) in Denmark to current IBF World Lightweight Champion Richard Commey (18-0) i 2014.

“Ziani is an all-action fighter with an enormous work rate,” the Ireland-based Hyde added. “It would be a tantalizing match between two talented southpaws with the winner going on to fight for the WBC World title.”

Teofimo Lopez obliterates Mason Menard in 44 seconds with “Knockout of the Year” candidate in front of large viewing audience in ESPN

NEW YORK (December 10, 2018) -Top lightweight Teofimo Lopez scored an explosive 44-second knockout over Mason Menard this past Saturday night at The Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in a scheduled ten-round bout that was viewed by a massive audience on ESPN.


Lopez landed a crushing right hand that had Menard plummeting face-first on to the canvas, in what was the opening televised bout on the Vasilly Lomachenko – Jose Pedraza lightweight unification card.

Lopez is now the NABA, NABF and USBA Lightweight champion.
The knockout, was featured on ESPN SportsCenter, and all over social media, took place on an event which was the 2nd highest rated boxing card on cable television this year

Med sejren, Lopez pushed his perfect mark to 11-0 med ni knockouts, and now he feels he is ready for anybody in the lightweight division.


“Jeg vidste, at han var en hård kriger. I knew he could fight,” Lopez said. “I wanted to test him, and I took a chance early in the fight. I know he trained hard, and he didn’t want it to go that way. But this is ‘The Takeover.’ ‘The Takeover’ has begun.

New York, NY (Juli 18, 2018)–It was a perfect weekend for Split-T Management, as six members of Boxing’s deepest management stable remained undefeated with impressive victories.
Teofimo Lopez announced himself to the lightweight division with an impressive 6th round stoppage over William Silva.
Kampen, which was the co-feature bout on ESPN, took place på lørdag night at The Lakefront Arena in New Orleans.
Despite breaking his hand, Lopez was dominating in taking out Silva, who came into the fight with a 25-1 rekord. Silva, who had never been knocked down in his career, hit the canvas three times, including the end which came 15 seconds into the 6th frame.
Lopez is now 10-0 med otte knockouts
2016 US. Olympian Charles Conwell (8-0, 6 KOS) was equally as impressive by stopping Travis Scott in the 2nd round of their junior middleweight bout.
In a bout which was supposed to be a step-up contest for Conwell, saw the undefeated Cleveland native land a perfect left hook to the body that sent Scott down for the ten-count in the 2nd stanza.
Undefeated and world ranked Erick de leon showed guts and heart to win a 10-round unanimous decision over Adrian Young in a super featherweight bout.
DeLeon dislocated his shoulder when he fell in the 1st round, and then came back to dominate and win the remaining nine rounds, with final scores of 98-91 og 97-92 to gange.
De Leon was able to fight on despite the severity of the shoulder injury which required hospitalization following the fight.

Raquel Miller remained undefeated by winning a six-round unanimous decision over Tifffany Woodard in a middleweight bout. The fight took place at the Fairmont Hotel in Miller’s hometown of San Francisco.
Miller won by shutout scores of 60-54 on all cards to raise her unblemished mark of to 7-0.
Anthony Barnes won a six-round majority decision over Dwayne Williams at The Motor City Casino in Barnes’ hometown of Detroit.
Barnes is now 11-0.
“It was a great weekend for Split-T Management. I am proud of these six fighters. They all rose to the occasion, and stayed undefeated. Teofimo Lopez shines with 6th round stoppage over William Silva in ESPN co-feature

NEW YORK (Juli 16, 2018)–Teofimo Lopez shined in a major step up bout as he dominated William Silva by scoring a 6th round stoppage in their lightweight bout that was the co-feature on ESPN.

The bout took place on Saturday night at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans.

I runde én, Lopez dumped Silva with a left hook. Silva was bleeding from the nose, I runde fem, Lopez landed several hard hooks to the bloodied Silva, and then dumped Silva to the canvas in the corner.

Lopez came out in round six by landing three left hooks and a right that dropped Silva and the bout was called at 15 sekunder.

Silva who came in with a record of 25-1, and is only loss was to Felix Verdejo on HBO, had never been knocked down before the fighter known as “Gordo” dropped him three times.

Lopez is now 10-0 med 8 knockouts. Silva is 25-2.

“I know everything is set up by the jab,” Said Lopez. “The jab is the most important punch. I was playing with his mind. I was setting him up by letting him get comfortable and then to land the big shot. I hurt my hands, early in the fight but you prepare yourself for the worst possible. I just put everyone on notice that I’m coming for those world title at 135lbs!”

“I can’t remember ever seeing such a dynamic young performer as Teofimo Lopez. He’s going to be the best in the world,” said Split-T Management CEO David McWater.

Silva confident ahead of Saturday bout with Lopez

New Orleans, LA (Juli 12, 2018) – When lightweight William “Baby Face” Silva arrived in New Orleans yesterday afternoon, he stepped off the plane and raised both hands in the air.

 

 

 

Every time a plane lands in New Orleans, happy travelers throw their hands up in a pre-celebratory fashion of what’s to come during their time in the Big Easy. Silva’s pose however is one he expects to replicate Saturday evening after he defeats hot prospect Teofimo Lopez when the two face off at New Orleans’ Lakefront Arena.

 

 

 

Silva, 25-1 (14 KO s), completed an intense training camp under head trainer Jose Rodriguez in Plant City, FL. Originally from Brazil and now fighting out of Florida, Silva is cool, calm and confident heading into his bout with the highly touted 9-0 Lopez, who many consider one of boxing’s future stars.

 

 

 

“Everything was perfect in camp and this is the kind of opportunity I need to show everybody the fighter I truly am. Lopez is a talented boxer but I’ve got a big edge in experience and know what it’s like to be in a big fight. I’m ready or Saturday night and will do whatever is necessary to have my hand raised at the end of the fight.”

 

 

 

Silva’s promoter, Jody Caliguire of Fire Fist Boxing Promotions, immediately jumped at the opportunity for his fighter to challenge Lopez and anxiously awaits Saturday night.

“I feel great and our preparations have gone exactly as planned so far,” Silva said following a training session at Plant City Boxing Gym. “Lopez is a good fighter but this is a great opportunity to show that I’m also a top talent. My team and I will be prepared for victory July 14.”

 

 

 

Silva’s promoter, Jody Caliguire of Fire Fist Boxing, has seen a significant improvement in his fighter in the last six months and believes that Lopez is in for a surprise.

 

 

 

“I believe some people are probably expecting to see the William Silva they did against Felix Verdejo but they’re in for a major surprise. He’s a totally different fighter now and improvements have been made across the board that I’ve seen firsthand in the gym. Silva-Lopez opens a Top Rank promoted ESPN telecast headlined by New Orleans’ own Regis Prograis, 21-0 (18 KO s), against Argentina’s Juan Jose Velasco, 20-0 (12 KO s), for the WBC interim junior welterweight championship.

 

 

 

Hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazil and fighting out of Plant City, FL, Silva has an outstanding professional ledger of 25-1 med 14 knockouts.
