En un combat de sis rondes de pes súper mitjà Farah Ennis (21-2, 12 Nocauts) farà el seu retorn al ring després d'a 22 mes de pausa quan assumeix el càrrec Michael Gbenga (20-19, 20 Nocauts)
Ennis, que va ser vist per última vegada deixant una decisió unànime de 10 rondes davant el nou campió del pes súper mitjà del CMB, Badou Jack, busca tornar a la lluita amb una gran sortida sobre el veterà de Ghana.
“La capacitació ha estat bona. Només sé que Gbenga és de Ghana,” va dir l'Ennis.
Després del que Ennis va admetre va ser una actuació poc brillant contra Jack, Necessitava un temps allunyat de l'esport per tornar-se a la pista.

Frank De Alba headlines against Bernardo Gomez Uribe this Friday at Stadium Holiday Inn Philadelphia

Hostal a Filadèlfia, King's Promotions presenta una gran nit de boxa que serà encapçalada per 10 rondes Jr. Combat lleuger entre Frankie DeAlba (15-1-2, 5 Nocauts) i Bernardo Gomez Uribe (14-3, 10 Nocauts).
D'Alba de la Lectura, PA has been one of the hottest fighters on the East Coast as he has won 13 straight bouts and is unbeaten since dropping his professional debut in 2011.
La 27 year-old is coming into his own and has been training hard in preparation for this bout against Uribe.
“La capacitació ha estat gran. Em sento 100% and this truly has been one of the best camps I have ever had. I really feel like I am in the best shape in my career,” va dir De Alba.
Like two of his last three opponents, Jose Bustos and Pablo Batres, Uribe is a tough yet unknown fighter from Mexico who sports a solid record.
“He is a unknown guy with a decent record. A part d'això, I don’t know much about him but that doesn’t matter as I train for any style that he may bring.”
De Alba is on the cusp of some big fights in the Jr. Lightweight division and he can’t look past Uribe to get those opportunities.

Hostal a Filadèlfia, King’s Promotions presents a great night of championship boxing that will headlined by 10-round UBF Lightweight championship bout between Frankie DeAlba (15-1-2, 5 Nocauts) i Bernardo Gomez Uribe (14-3, 10 Nocauts).
In one of the 8-round co-features, Steve Upsher Chambers (24-4-1, 6 Nocauts) returns to the city where he cut his teeth as a professional to take on Alejandro Rodríguez (24-16-1, 14 Nocauts) en un Jr. Baralla de pes welter.
Chambers, who came originally to Philadelphia with former Heavyweight title challenger, “Ràpid” Eddie Chambers, lluitat 23 times and the famed Blue Horizon in Philadelphia and will be making his first start in the City of Brotherly Love in almost 6 any.
“I have been training hard and working on opening my new gym with (contendent de pes lleuger) Rod Salka,” said Upsher.

Chambers went back to his native Pittsburgh to train in neighboring city Coal Center, Pennsilvània.

On the veteran opponent, Rodríguez, Upsher said, “I know he is tough and from Mexico. I will look at a little film before the fight and go from there. I really don’t worry about what he will do. He should worry about me. This fight is redemption for me. It’s a start and then I would like to right all of the losses. But first I am looking for a dominant performance el divendres then I want to end all doubts.”

Ennis captured the NABF Super Middleweight title with a win over Victor Lares. Ennis coming off a loss to current WBC Super Middleweight champion Badou Jack on July 19, 2013.

Filadèlfia, Pennsilvània (Maig 6, 2015)— Banner Promotions is pleased to announce that Alyson DeRenzis has taken first place in the Boxcino Bracket Challenge.
Alyson will take home the grand prize of two ringside tickets to the Boxcino finals that will take place on Maig 22 a Corona, Califòrnia, a full roundtrip for two to the finals, complete with a hotel stay and meals for two, as well as a guest invitation to the pre-fight weigh in and post fight press conference. Alyson will also receive two Boxcino t-shirts.

Filadèlfia, Pennsilvània (Maig 4, 2015)— This past weekend in Las Vegas, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao fought in what was the most anticipated bout in a generation. Several big name fighters were in attendance, but the one who appealed most to the hundreds of thousands of fans who flocked Sin City for the fight was “El Rocky siberià” Ruslan Provodnikov.
Provodnikov posed for hundreds of pictures and signed countless autographs. He also participated in “Radio Row” where he talked on a plethora radio stations from around the country.
Provodnikov was also spotted and recognized by “A-List” celebrities who actually asked to take their pictures with the Jr. Welterweight star at the HBO/Showtime pre-fight,red carpet party.

Two-time world champion Steve “USS” Cunningham signs with Al Haymon

Filadèlfia (Abril 21, 2015)–Former two-time world cruiserweight champion and current Heavyweight contender, Steve “USS” Cunningham has signed with adviser Al Haymon.
Cunningham of Philadelphia is excited about the prospects for his future.
“I’m looking forward to working with Al, he’s a genius at what he does. I’ve been watching him for several years and seeing all that he accomplishes for his fighters but have always been on the outside looking in due to contractual obligations. It finally lined up to where we can work together and it’s going to great. I believe my best fights have yet to be seen,”va dir Cunningham
Cunningham has a record of 28-7 amb 13 nocauts. He won the IBF Cruiserweight championship when he traveled to Poland and defeated Krzysztof Wlodarczyk on May 26, 2007. He defended the title by stopping Marco Huck via 12th round stoppage in Bielfield, Germany on December 29, 2007. Cunningham became a two-time champion on June 5, 2010 when he stopped Troy Ross in five rounds.
Cunningham is coming off a controversial split decision defeat to Vyacheslav Glazkov on Març 14 a Mont-real.
Steve and his wife/manager Livvy will be honored aquest divendres night at the 90th annual BWAA Awards dinner as they will receive the Bill Crawford Courage Award for their perseverance while their 9-year old daughter Kennedy went through a life saving heart transplant last December.
The awards dinner will take place at Capitale in New York City.

John Thompson reflexiona sobre la victòria de la semifinal de Boxcino i espera la final del maig 22

Newark, Nova Jersey (Abril 21, 2015)— Joan “Apol·lo Kidd” Thompson ha començat els preparatius del seu Maig 22 Final de Boxcino contra Brandon Adams. (17-1, 12 Nocauts).

Va dir el promotor de Thompson, Vito Mielnicki de GH3 Promotions, “Crec que som més llargs, ha estat més dur i millor boxador. En Brandon és un bon lluitador, però crec que és massa verd. Sé que va tenir una breu carrera amateur i que podria ser massa ecològic per a John.”

Danbury, Connecticut (Abril 16, 2015)- At the beginning of April, newly licensed Connecticut boxing promoter A.J. Galante introduced his company, Promocions Prize. Galante spoke of his goal of bringing “Old School” boxing to Connecticut.

To prove he is serious about his vision, Galante has turned his matchmaking over to Hall of Fame Philadelphia promoter, Russell Peltz along with one of the sports youngest and most promising promoters and matchmakers, Bretanya “BAM”

Rogers.

“Russell is the definition of Old School matchmaking, he’s one of the last out there, so it was a no brainer for me to reach out to him, and I am honored that he is willing to work with me.” Galante va declarar, “His resume speaks for itself, I am extremely confident that working together, we will put on spectacular shows” Galante was also extremely excited to work with Brittany “BAM” Rogers, who works in conjunction with Russell Peltz,

“I’m often referred to as one of the youngest boxing people on the business side of things, but BAM is actually younger than me, and has been in the sport longer than me. I have a lot of respect for her and have been learning a lot through working with her.”

Ultimately Galante said what cemented his choice on his matchmakers, was a trip to Philladelphia in October, to attend a show promoted by both Peltz and Rogers, “When you think Philly boxing, you think gritty and exciting, and you can’t think Philadelphia boxing without Russell Peltz and Brittany Rogers, and I am looking forward to bringing those types of shows and that environment here to Connecticut.” It won’t be long for Galante to fulfill his promise, as his first show Danbury Fight Night, will take place onMaig 30 al Danbury Arena, in his hometown of Danbury, Connecticut.
