Reminder: Undefeated Russian super middleweight Petr “The Surgeon” Khamukov to headline This Friday in Long Beach on DAZN

LOS ANGELES (Juny 16, 2025) - Often avoided Russian super middleweight Petr “The Surgeon” Khamukov (13-0, 6 KOs) will headline “LA Friday Night Fights”, presented by Paco Presents and Golden Boy Promotions, against David “Dynamite” Stevens (14-2, 10 KOs) this week in Long Beach, Califòrnia.

Khamukov faces Stevens, who was a standout amateur boxer out of Pennsylvania, en l'esdeveniment principal a 10 assalts. “LA Friday Night Fights” will be streamed live this Friday on DAZN from Thunder Studios.

A promotional free agent who now resides in Woodland Hills (TAL COM), Khamukov had 350 partits d'aficionats, represented Russia in the 2016 Jocs Olímpics, and he was the only Russian to qualify for the same Olympics in two weights classes (middleweight and light heavyweight). He captured gold medals at the 2015 European Championships and 2016 Russian National Championships.

Khamukov, 33, is excited to be fighting again, never mind headlining, because he has had a difficult time securing fights prior to recently signing a managerial contract with 3 Gestió de punts (3 Primer ministre). Khamukov’s last fight was 13 fa mesos, when he knocked out Esau Herrera de la Cruz (21-16-1) a la tercera ronda.

“It was a real challenge, both physically and mentally,” Khamukov spoke about his absence from the ring. “As they say, the darkest night is followed by the brightest dawn. That time away helped me reset, reflect, and come back even stronger. Sometimes those moments are necessary to build true resilience. You have to ask fighters why they have avoided me. I’ve always been ready to fight but they weren’t. Maybe the risk just didn’t justify the reward? Fear of losing can be a powerful force. Let them run, I’m not chasing anyone. I’m focused on my own path.

“It’s a huge honor and a big responsibility to be headlining this Friday night in Long Beach. A main event, worthy opponent, and a team that’s worked incredibly hard to get us here. Now it’s time to do what I do best: step into the ring and prove myself. Fighting on DAZN is a launchpad to a whole new level. Millions of eyes, a bigger stage and new doors that could open for me after a strong performance. One thing will stay the same: moving forward with dignity and respect for the sport, my opponent and myself.”

In his most recent fight last November in Las Vegas, the 24-year-old Stevens lost a 12-round split decision to Bektemir Melikuziev (14-1, 10 KOs). Stevens’ most impressive performance to date was an 8-round stoppage of then 14-0 Sean Hemphill in 2023.

“My opponent is a strong, experienced fighter, sense cap dubte,” Khamukov said. “I respect that, but I didn’t just start boxing yesterday, qualsevol dels dos. I’ve prepared thoroughly – physically, mentalment, tactically. The rest will be shown in the ring. Jo no parlo molt, Faig, and that’s what professionalism is about.

“The biggest change in training camp has been volume. We’ve increased endurance work and focused on managing pace and energy. At my core, I’m still the same…. agressiu, technical, and hungry for victory.

Khamukov is the latest member of 3 Point Management’ (3 Primer ministre) stable of gifted boxers including WBA & WBO Cruiserweight World Champion/Ring Magazine No. 1 rated Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (47-1, 30 KOs), former WBC World Light Heavyweight Champion/WBC No. 3 rated Oleksandr “Nails” Gvozdyk (20-2, 16 KOs), world super flyweight title challenger/WBO No. 1 rated John “Scrappy” Ramirez (14-1, 9 KOs), AMB #6 rated super middleweight Darius “DFG” Fulgham (14-1, 12 KOs), former WBA Inter-Continental Light Heavyweight Champion Kareem “Supreme” Hackett (12-1, 6 KOs) and German junior welterweight Simon “Saucy” Vollmer (7-0, 3 KOs).

3 Point Management signs 13-0 Russian Middleweight PetrThe SurgeonKhamukov

LOS ANGELES (Abril 24, 2025) -3 Gestió de punts (3 Primer ministre) has announced the signing of undefeated Russian middleweight Petr “The Surgeon” Khamukov (13-0, 6 KOs), one of the most accomplished Russian amateur boxers, a un contracte exclusiu de gestió.

Now residing in Woodland Hills (TAL COM), Khamukov is a promotional free agent who is trained by Danny Salazar. Khamukov had 350 partits d'aficionats, represented his native country in the 2016 Olympics – the only Russian to qualify for the same Olympics in two weights classes (middleweight and light heavyweight) – and he captured gold medals at the 2015 European Championships and 2016 Russian National Championships.

Khamukov, 33, has had a difficult time securing significant fights, which is the primary reason he decided to sign with 3 Primer ministre. His last fight was last May, in which Petr stopped Esau Herrera de la Cruz (21-16-1) a la tercera ronda.

“I saw the situation at 3 Primer ministre,” Khamukov explained why he signed with 3 Primer ministre. “I want to be world champion; they want to add another world champion to its team. Their desire to help me is why I signed. I hope to come back, probably in May, and my goal is to be ranked in the top 10 by the end of this year. I want to be world champion and won’t stop until I succeed.”

A self-described old-school, classic boxer, Khamukov came to the United States to enhance his pro boxing career, saying Russia is not as focused on pro boxing as in the United States, noting that the amateur boxing program back home remains strong.

Khamukov joins the growing 3 Gestió de punts (3 Primer ministre)  stable of gifted boxers including WBA & WBO Cruiserweight World Champion/Ring Magazine No. 1 rated Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (47-1, 30 KOs), former WBC World Light Heavyweight Champion/WBC No. 4 rated Oleksandr “Nails” Gvozdyk (20-2, 16 KOs), world super flyweight title challenger/WBO No. 1 rated John “Scrappy” Ramirez (14-1, 9 KOs), AMB #4 rated super middleweight Darius “DFG” Fulgham (14-0, 12 KOs), former WBA Inter-Continental Light Heavyweight Champion Kareem “Supreme” Hackett (12-1, 6 KOs) and German junior welterweight Simon “Saucy” Vollmer (7-0, 3 KOs).

Salazar realizes he’s training a future star, one who only needs a break in terms of having major fights against name opponents.

“His 350 amateur matches mean he has a lot of experience,” Salazar noted. “We just added a little American and Mexican styles. He can fight in any way. He’s such a technician, eager to learn, and never says no when we tell him to do something. He’s more than ready for 10-round fights, but nobody wants to fight him at 160. We can go down to junior middleweight for the proper fight, but he’s ready for anybody at 160. We just haven’t been able to get those fights and that’s why we’re with 3 Primer ministre. We’ll continue to work on the basics, but what he needs are fights. Nobody wants to fight Petr!"

“The Surgeon” is prepared to operate on the elite of the world middleweights.
