Antonio Vargas Elevated to WBA World Bantamweight Champion

Boxlab Promotions Celebrates First-Ever World Champion Under Its Banner
ORLANDO, FL (Mai 18, 2025) - Boxlab Promotions is proud to announce that Antonio Vargas has officially been elevated from WBA interim world bantamweight champion to WBA world champion following the World Boxing Association’s ruling. The move comes after reigning champion Seiya Tsutsumi suffered an injury that will sideline him for several months, forcing the WBA to designate him as “Champion in Recess.”

This historic decision makes Vargas the first world champion to be crowned under the Boxlab Promotions banner, marking a significant milestone for both the fighter and the Florida-based promotional company.

“This is an unbelievable honor and a moment I’ll never forget,»Dit Vargas, who captured the WBA interim title by defeating previously unbeaten Winston “El Fantasma” Guerrero (22-1, 13 KOs) back in December of 2024. “To be named WBA world champion is a dream come true. I’ve worked my whole life for this, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped me reach this point. “I also want to give all praise and glory to my lord and savior Jesus Christ as without him none of this would be possible.”

Coyle défendra son titre NABA en décembre 11 à Orlando

Orlando, FL (Novembre 7, 2022) – Le champion des poids moyens NABA Connor "The Kid" Coyle défendra son titre contre l'artiste à élimination directe Anibal Cleto Francisco dans une bataille d'invaincus dimanche, Le 11 décembre au Caribbean Royale à Orlando.

La carte a lieu lors de la convention annuelle du centenaire de la WBA, qui se tient au Caribe Royale de décembre 11-14.

Originaire de Derry, L'Irlande du Nord qui s'entraîne à Pinellas Park, FL Coyle 17-0 avec 7 KO. Coyle est devenu le champion NABA en mai dernier lorsqu'il a remporté une décision âprement disputée contre Antonio Todd. Il devait affronter Felix Cash en octobre 8 en Angleterre, mais la carte entière a été annulée après que le participant à l'événement principal Conor Benn ait échoué à un test de dépistage de drogue.

Originaire de Monte Plata, République Dominicaine, de Francisco 10-0 avec 9 de ses victoires venant par KO. En juillet 2, le joueur de 22 ans a arrêté Yeison Gonzalez au cinquième tour pour remporter le titre WBA Fedelatin.

This Friday showdown vs. unbeaten NABO champion Yomar “The Magic” Alamo

LAS VEGAS (Février 27, 2020) – Undefeated super lightweightKendo "Tremendo" Castaneda (17-0, 8 KOs) flew into Orlando from his native San Antonio this past Tuesday night on his first visit to Florida.

Unlike millions of people who go to Orlando for Disneyworld, bien que, Castaneda’s initial look at palm trees is simply part of his business trip. I like it here. It’s nice and in a way, I feel like I’m at home. I’m going to put on a show for fans, I’m going to be like their Disney World. I’m ready for the big ride and to put on a great show for the people.”

Castaneda captured the vacant North American Boxing Association (Aussi) crown a year ago, taking a 10-round decision from previously undefeatedGilbert Venegas, Jr.(10-0), and followed that with an impressive 10-round unanimous decision over Dominican veteranEudy Berbardo (24-3).

Last October in Reno, Nevada, Castaneda stoppedStan Martyniouk (20-3) au sixième tour, after which he was installed by the World Boxing Organization as its No. 15 rated super lightweight in the world.

WBO Non. 8 ranked Alamo, fighting out of Puerto Rico, is coming off the only blemish on either fighter’s pro record, fighting to a draw withAntonio Moran (24-4-1).

Alamo, 24, is the former World Boxing Council (WBC) Youth World and FECARBOX super lightweight champion, who has made three successful NABO title defenses.
