SANT ANTONI (Maig 29, 2016) – L'ex campió del món Miguel “Titella” Vázquez (36-5, 13 KOs) defeated Ecuador’s Erick Os (16-4, 8 KOs) in a 10-round battle that headlined Lliga de Campions de Boxa a FS1 i FOX Esports Dissabte nit des del Dancehall de Sant Antoni.
The former champion from Mexico worked behind a strong jab and brought the fight to Bone throughout the main event. Bone was able to return fire and was effective at times when countering.
The jab of Vazquez eventually led to success with the right hand that was able to hurt his opponent and keep the battle-tested Bone from building momentum.
Both fighters landed at a nearly identical rate as Vazquez connected on 22 percent of his punches while Bone landed 21 per cent. No obstant això, it was Vazquez with the advantage in punches landed at 94 a 74.
The fight featured many close rounds, which was reflected by the varied scores of the judges. Al final, all three had the fight for Vazquez by scores of 99-91, 97-93 i 96-94.

Facing a southpaw for the first time as a professional, Flores had some trouble early with the game Tamayo who was able to penetrate the defense of the 23-year-old with left hands while also opening a cut with an accidental head butt in round two.
As the fight went on Flores showed improved movement and a variety of effective punches that allowed him to take control of the fight. Most notably, Flores used a bruising left hook to the body that left Tamayo marked up and slowed down his offense.
Both fighters threw over 550 punches but it was Flores who out landed his opponent 175-121. The judges rewarded the still undefeated fighter with the unanimous decision by scores of 100-90 i 98-92 dues vegades.

“I wanted to throw the heavier punches because I thought I could win by knockout, però això no va passar. There was an overhand right in the eighth round that I thought hurt him badly.

Gassiev and Shimmell will square off for the top spot for the cruiserweight title currently held by Victor Emilio Ramirez and the winner will be in line to face the winner of the unification bout between Ramirez and Denis Lebedev also taking place in May.
“I have seen Jordan Shimmell in the ring and I feel like this is a good fight for me,” va dir Gassiev. “I’m looking forward to getting back in the ring after the mistake I made last fight. I’m going to be real sharp on May 17 and I will not disappoint.”
“I’m excited to get back in the ring and fight in another televised bout,” said Shimmell. “I know I’m in there with a tough, fort oponent, but with my skills and ability it shouldn’t be a problem. As long as I fight smart and do the things I’ve been training to do, I will come out with the win.”
“This is a big opportunity for me in a competitive televised bout,” said Nofire. “This is a chance for me to move past being a regional fighter. I’m preparing not just to win but to look spectacular. A fast-rising 22-year-old contender, Gassiev is undefeated since turning pro in 2011 and has delivered three straight stoppage victories since making his stateside debut in January 2015. Més recentment, he earned a no contest in a December fight with fellow unbeaten Isiah Thomas after Thomas was ruled unable to continue due to a blow from Gassiev deemed after the bell. He owns victories over a slew of veterans including Damon McCreary, Epifanio Mendoza, Galen Brown and Jonathan Corn.

Fighting near his hometown of Champlin, Minnesota, Abell has challenged for a piece of the heavyweight crown and has shared the ring with current heavyweight king Tyson Fury. He picked up victories on 2015 over Juan Goode and Travis Fulton and has taken down veterans Maurenzo Smith, Josh Gutcher and Galen Brown.

Closing the gaps even narrower between himself and Ghvamichava, Lipinets continued to successfully walk down the Georgian (Rússia) native in the fourth round who was unable to avoid the punishing assault.

“You don’t expect to be knocked out. We were letting the fight come to me and I thought I was going to be able to stun him, but he has explosive power. I should have been more cautious. I am going to learn from this experience.”
Co-featured on the telecast Ukrainian Sergiy Derevyanchenko, (8-0 6Nocauts), now fighting out of Brooklyn, Nova York, impressed with with an eighth-round knockout of thetough-as-nails Mike Guy, (8-2-1 4Nocauts).
Fighting evenly over the first half of the scheduled eight rounder, Derevyanchenko found his range in the second half utilizing massive left hooks to the body to slow down the Sacramento, California native.
Sensing a finish in the final round, Derevyanchenko drilled Guy to the canvas at the midway point of the stanza and again shortly thereafter. Although Guy beat the count, the ensuing flurry from Derevyanchenko caused a halt to the bout by referee Michael Margado at the 2:24 marca.

Stated Derevyanchenko, “I wasn’t surprised he was so tough. I’ve never seen any of his fights, but I didn’t think it was going to be an easy fight.

Dropping the valiant Pole early in the fifth stanza, Watts was awarded the stoppage victory as referee Edward Collantes called a halt at the 2:01 marca. Scores at the time of the finish were 39-37 on all three judge’s scorecards.
Said the victorious Watts, “Estic tan feliç, but I knew I was going to get that win. I train too hard to lose. All I think about is winning. I’ve got too many people rooting for me to fail.
“I knew I was going to get the KO, but I was happy it was in the fifth round. I actually thought he was going to make it to the sixth because I didn’t think I hurt him as bad as I did in the fourth.
“When he went down, I knew it wasn’t a slip. Usually when a drop is ruled a slip, you know it, but that was definitely a knock down. He could barely get back up and after that he just kept backing up and backing up and I took advantage of that.
“Not sure what is exactly next, but I do know I’ll be ready.”

Un aficionat consumat que va néixer a Kazakhstan però baralla a Rússia, Lipinets turned pro in April of 2014 with a decision victory over Franklin Varela. The 26-year-old recorded six knockouts in a row before he defeated the previously unbeaten Lydell Rhodes in their October fight. He also owns victories over veterans Kendal Mena, Cosme Rivera and Daniel Lomeli.
Ghvamichava enters this bout on a five-fight win streak and is unbeaten since 2013. The 30-year-old took down previously unbeaten fighters Jonathan Garcia and Chris Singleton in 2014 and followed it up with triumphs over Cameron Kreal and Cosme Rivera in 2015. Originally from Poti, Geòrgia, Ghvamichava now trains out of Hayward, Califòrnia.
Representing his native Mongolia, Nyambayar won the silver medal at the 2012 Jocs Olímpics d'Estiu a Londres. The 23-year-old turned pro in 2015 and delivered four stoppage victories, most recently knocking out Pedro Melo in the second round. The unbeaten pro now trains out of Carson, Califòrnia.
Born in Puerto Rico, but training and living out of Brooklyn, Vazquez fights for more than glory inside the ring. SANT ANTONI (Gener 13, 2016) – Miguel Flores (19-0, 9 KOs) derrotat Mario Briones (27-5-2, 20 KOs) per decisió unànime (98-92, 100-90, 100-90) en un concurs de 10 rondes al Lliga de Campions de Boxa (PBC) DIMARTS TOE-TO-TOE a FS1 i BOXA DE CAMPIONS a FOX Esports cartellera Dimarts nit des del Dancehall de Sant Antoni.
Flores va obrir el combat establint l'esquerra al cos de Briones. Lluitant fora de Houston, TX, Flores va controlar bona part de l'acció a la primera, però Briones va aprofitar la seva experiència i va fer un bon intercanvi amb Flores per tancar la ronda.
Briones va tornar a carregar amb força a la segona, aterrant per l'esquerra en el primer minut de la ronda que semblava commocionar Flores. Flores va llançar cops furiós intentant fer retrocedir Briones i potser fins i tot acabar-ho aviat.
Flores va utilitzar gran part del tercer i el quart per instal·lar-se i aterrar pesades esquerres al cos, establint-se clarament com el lluitador més fort. Durant l'acció, Briones va patir un tall que es va obrir per l'ull esquerre.
Briones, fent els seus EUA. debut, va ser víctima d'un cop baix a principis del cinquè i va trigar uns instants a recuperar-se. Mentre els lluitadors van continuar, Briones’ tall obert més.
Flors, que també mostrava signes d'un petit tall a l'ull esquerre, va obrir la ronda controlant l'acció a la sisena. No obstant això, Briones no va deixar de fumar i va lluitar per recuperar la seva confiança i avançar a un altre quadre.
La setena ronda va veure ambdós lluitadors’ els ulls esquerres brollen sang mentre la parella llançava trets furiós, amb l'esperança d'acabar el concurs. Flores va ser colpejat per sota del cinturó, però tots dos lluitadors van mostrar una gran voluntat mentre van sobreviure per allargar la lluita. El primer combat televisat va comptar amb una perspectiva invicta de pes semipesat Ahmed Elbiali (14-0, 11 KOs) guanyant una decisió unànime de vuit rondes (78-74, 77-75, 77-75) sobre Andrew Hernández (10-4-1, 2 KOs).
Després de trobar la seva distància, tots dos van donar cops forts en el primer. Elbiali va aconseguir connectar amb un gran ganxo esquerre quan el marc d'obertura es va tancar.
Hernández, acaba de dues setmanes de descans, semblava agut a la segona ronda, aterrant la seva dreta repetidament. Però Elbiali va tornar amb un altre ganxo d'esquerra.
A la tercera, Hernández va controlar bona part de la ronda des de l'exterior, fent una còpia de seguretat d'Elbiali amb el jab per configurar combinacions. Hernández va aterrar un xut que aparentment va sorprendre Elbiali i després va seguir amb una ràfega per tancar la ronda..
Hernández va portar el seu impuls al quart i va aprofitar la seva experiència per posar les coses difícils a Elbiali. Elbiali va perseguir Harnández, esperant que el gran tir es connectés, però no aterrar al gran. Quan s'acabava la ronda, Elbiali es va menjar una altra gran mà dreta.
Elbiali, natural del Caire, Egipte, va sortir agressiu a la cinquena i després va sorprendre Hernández a principis de la sisena. Elbiali va donar una ràfega de cops abans que Hernández pogués recuperar-se i continuar. El segon combat televisat va mostrar pes welter invicte Bryant Perrella (13-0, 12 KOs) aconseguir una victòria per nocaut tècnic Ramon Ayala (23-6-1, 11 Kos) només :10 a la tercera ronda.
Perrella va poder atordir l'Ayala d'hora i va continuar utilitzant la seva esquerra per enrere Ayala. Perrella va mantenir la distància a la primera, mantenir la calma i l'equilibri. Un Ayala frustrat va retreure un parell de cops després del timbre.
A la segona volta, Perrella va controlar l'acció, trencar l'Ayala i treure el millor dels intercanvis mentre aterraven combinacions a tot arreu.
En definitiva, l'allau de cops al principi va ser massa per a Ayala, que es va retirar entre rondes abans de l'inici del tercer..

“Moltes persones han vist qui sóc i com lluito. Vull donar les gràcies a PBC i FS1 & FOX Deportes per donar-me aquesta oportunitat de fer-me un nom i ajudar a créixer el nostre esport.
“No vull cridar ningú, però aviat tornaré a la feina. La divisió de pes ploma anirà a la meva, i quan tingui la meva oportunitat d'un títol estaré preparat per al millor.”
AHMED ELBIALI
“Les coses no surten mai com esperem. El meu pla era sentir-lo una mica més, però em vaig fer mal a la mà a la primera ronda. No vull posar cap excusa, però esperava poder encaixar-lo una mica més.
“El meu avantatge més gran aquesta nit era la meva mida, joventut i poder. Però va tenir l'experiència, i semblava decent en alguns punts.
“Era un veterà intel·ligent. Va aconseguir molt i va fer algunes coses que els veterans astuts saben fer.
“Lluitar amb una targeta PBC augmenta el meu perfil i és fantàstic per a la meva carrera. Estic esperant la meva propera targeta de lluita de PBC.
“Realment només vull i necessito millorar amb cada lluita. Això és tot el que em puc preocupar. He d'aconseguir que aquesta mà se senti millor, però després treballa per fer els ajustos per millorar la propera vegada.”
ANDREU HERNANDEZ
“Vaig planejar aturar-lo. És un noi molt més gran. Sóc un pes mitjà natural, però va ser una gran oportunitat per lluitar contra un lluitador de qualitat.
“Vaig sentir que hauria pogut trepitjar el gas una mica més, treballava més per dins. També sabem que és un noi perillós, així que cal anar amb compte.

“Vaig pensar que vaig fer prou per guanyar, però evidentment els jutges no estaven d'acord amb mi. Crec que els aficionats que van veure pensen que vaig guanyar, però hi tornaré.”

BRYANT PERRELLA
“Tenia moltes ganes d'entrar allà i fluir aquesta nit, sense pressa per nocaut. Esperava establir el meu jab i guanyar ronda a ronda.
“La feina i l'entrenament que he fet m'han portat fins aquí i m'han ajudat a guanyar aquesta nit. Menjo, dormir i respirar boxa. La meva força, la potència i la velocitat m'han ajudat molt aquesta nit.
“Va saltar i em va colpejar unes quantes vegades amb el cap, així que em va fer una mica dubtar d'entrar-hi per dins.
“Poder lluitar amb una targeta BPC és una benedicció. Ser capaç de fer el que m'agrada fer, això és només un somni fet realitat lluitar a FS1 & FOX Esports.
