A Chicago Golden Gloves champion, Ramirez knocked out seven of his first nine professional opponents and picked up five victories in 2015 including a decision over former world champion Cristobal Cruz. The 23-year-old debuted in 2016 with a second round stoppage of Osumanu Akaba in April.

MONT-REAL (Juny 4) – As the world mourns the loss of Muhammad Ali, Dissabte night’s Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on ESPN and ESPN Deportes telecast began with a “Ceremonial 10-Count” in memory of “La Major” and continued to pay tribute to him throughout the telecast that was headlined by a light heavyweight bout between hard-hitting Russian Olympian Artur Beterbiev against Argentina’s Ezequiel Maderna.
The 31-year-old Beterbiev (10-0, 10 KOs), who fights out of Montreal, returned to the ring after an almost year-long layoff following shoulder surgery. Now seven months removed from the procedure, Beterbiev looked sharp from the opening bell as he threw straight right hands and body shots effectively to start the fight.
Maderna, who was also coming off of a long layoff, was hoping to make a statement in his first fight on North American soil as he moved up in weight for this bout. Beterbiev utilized his power and precision to control the entire fight, but kicked it into high gear in the third round, sending the 29-year-old Maderna to the canvas with two right hands. He stood up, but soon after was sent to the canvas again. Aquesta vegada, spitting out his mouth piece to delay the bout causing Referee Marlon B. Wright to deduct a point.

The PBC on ESPN telecast, which is the first of seven between Juny 4 i agost 12, opened with two welterweight southpaws facing off in hopes of maintaining their undefeated records. No obstant això, it didn’t take long for Florida’s Bryant Perrella (14-0, 13 KOs) to prove he was the better man as he scored a second round TKO over Washington, D.C.’s David Grayton (14-1, 10 KOs).
Grayton was more active at the beginning of the fight, working his right hand on the inside. Perrella used his longer reach and height difference to his advantage as he did his best to dictate the pace. Perrella knocked Grayton down in the beginning of the second round and became forceful with the right hand as Grayton left himself open to punishment. Finalment, Perrella threw a left that caused Grayton to stumble and referee David Griffin waved off the fight at 2:19.
“He came in real tough – a tough competitor,” Said Perrella. “I was the best man tonight. I caught him with some really hard shots, dazed him. Vaig prendre el meu temps, I listened to what my team said and got him out of there.
“This is tremendous,” Perella continued. “This is what we’ve been wanting for a while to fight another undefeated prospect and get the recognition we feel we deserve. Also featured on the telecast was a six-round super welterweight contest between prospect Jamontay Clark (10-0, 6 KOs) of Cincinnati and Mexican warrior Edgar Ortega (16-6, 10 KOs). The game Ortega shocked the six-foot-two Clark in the first round, sending him to the canvas with a hard right hand. Clark regained his composure in between the first and second, controlling the fight from then on. Despite taking the fight with nine days’ avís, Ortega stayed with Clark all six rounds, even rolling his ankle in the fourth. After the final bell rung, Clark remained undefeated, registering a unanimous decision victory with the judges scoring the bout 58-55 i 58-54 (dues vegades).

Perrella ready for breakthrough performance June 4

Fort Myers, Florida (Maig 24, 2016) – Welterweight Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella of Fort Myers, FL faces his toughest foe to date when he challenges Washington, DC’s David “Day Day” Grayton Saturday, Juny 4.
The anticipated ten round match up between unbeaten southpaws takes place at the Bell Centre in Montreal as part of a Premier Boxing Champions card on ESPN.
Both Perrella, 13-0 (12 Nocauts), and Grayton, 14-0 (10 Nocauts), were heralded amateurs that have been dominant thus far in the paid ranks. As is typically the case when two noteworthy prospects meet, the winner moves a step closer to contention while the fighter who falls short often has to climb back up the mountain.
With Grayton undefeated in his own right and also very hungry to advance his career by emerging victorious, Perrella’s taken his training to new heights. The 27-year-old has traveled throughout the Sunshine State for quality sparring and is strengthening his body by doing regular aquatic training. This has helped him remove weight properly so there won’t be any surprises on the scale. To further assist, Perrella hired a private chef to ensure he’s refueling his body properly.
Total, Perrella’s team is confident about the match up against Grayton and believes the hard work in the gym is an integral part why Bryant will have his hand raised June 4.
"Camp has been great,” said Perrella’s trainer Michael Nowling. “Bryant is treating this camp like we’re preparing for a world title fight. A two-time Russian Olympian, Beterbiev has fought out of Montreal for his professional career that began in 2013. The 31-year-old has sent all of his opponents out within the distance including dominating performances over former world champions Tavoris Cloud and Gabriel Campillo.
Maderna turned pro in 2008 after representing his native Argentina in the 2008 Olympics and was unbeaten in his first 19 fights before losing a narrow decision to Edwin Rodriguez. Both of the 29-year-old’s defeats have come to unbeaten fighters and he enters this fight on a three bout winning streak including a first round knockout of Rolando Mansilla his last time out.
An undefeated 27-year-old out of Fort Myers, Florida, Perrella comes in off a second round stoppage of Ramon Ayala in January. Va recollir cinc nocauts seguits 2015 and looks to make it 11 in a row overall when he faces his toughest test yet on Juny 4.

MONT-REAL (Maig 11, 2016) — Contendent mundial de pes lleuger Artur Beterbiev torna al ring Dissabte nit, Juny 7, to defend his World Boxing Organization (OMB) International and North American Boxing Association (També) title belts against Argentinian champion Ezequiel “El Olympico” Maderna in the 12-round main event at historic Belle Centre a Mont-real, Canadà.

The 31-year-old Beterbiev (9-0, 9 KOs), the adopted son of Montreal, is on a seek-and-destroy mission for his first fight en un any. Perrella to face Grayton June 4 en ESPN

Fort Myers, Florida (Maig 11, 2016) – Welterweight sensation Bryant “Goodfella” Perrella will face his toughest foe to date when he challenges fellow unbeaten southpaw David “Day-Day” Grayton Dissabte, Juny 4 al Bell Centre a Mont-real, Quebec, Canadà.

 

The Perrella-Grayton bout serves as the co-main event of a Premier Boxing Champions card televised on ESPN.

 

Living and fighting out of Fort Myers, Florida, the heavy-handed Perrella has a stellar 13-0 comptabilitat professional amb 12 triomfs per nocaut. I believe I’m an overall better fighter and on Juny 4 everybody will see that.”

 

Michael Nowling, Perrella’s head trainer, is very familiar Grayton and is equally as confident his fighter will emerge victorious.

 

“David Grayton is a strong and athletic southpaw that is coming to win. Independentment, he’s never fought anybody like Bryant Perrella. For some time now, I’ve wanted Bryant to step up and fight another prospect because I believe he’s better than a lot of guys out there. Against Grayton, our plan is to break him down and win in style. Doing so in a fight like this can set us apart from other prospects.”

MIAMI (Novembre 25, 2015) – Súper campió mundial de pes welter i la sensació cubanaErislandy “El somni americà” Lara (22-2-2, 13 KOs) defensar amb èxit el seu títol contra l'ex campió del món i eslovè Jan Zaveck (35-4, 19 KOs) en un espectacle Premier Campions de boxa en ESPN des Hialeah Park Racing de Miami & Casino.

“Vaig colpejar (Zaveck) amb un gran xut a la barbeta i va congelar tot el seu cos. Ell es queixava de mal a l'orella i la seva cama, però la conclusió és que vaig aconseguir la victòria.
“M'enfrontaré a qualsevol persona que volen posar davant meu en 154 lliura, llevat que sigui Canelo (Alavarez) o (Miguel) Cuit. Després anirem fins 160 lliures.”

“Actualment tinc un dolor agut que va des del meu coll fins a l'espatlla del costat dret.
“Sabia que podia tractar de lluitar i aconseguir un cop de sort, però això era una petita possibilitat i que probablement era millor parar i lluitar un altre dia.
“Em sentia bé allà abans que. Vaig tractar de donar-li una sorpresa per la lluita contra ell en estreta, però jo estava prenent massa cops i ell té molt bona potència.
“Mai he estat ferits com això abans. És molt estrany. El dolor està augmentant.”

“A mesura que la lluita va començar Em vaig adonar d'Aquino era un lluitador fort, però una vegada que vaig començar a boxejar jo sabia que podia acabar la baralla en els últims assalts.
“El pla era que el portés a aigües profundes i que sigui una llarga lluita. A la setena ronda meva cantonada em va dir per acabar amb ella i vaig escoltar.
“Estic d'acord amb l'atur. Ell estava prenent massa càstig allà.
“Ser part d'una targeta de PBC en ESPN ajuda a prendre la meva carrera al següent nivell. Estic agraït per aquesta oportunitat.
“Lluitaré tot el que el meu promotor i mànager em diuen que. Estic llest per a qualsevol persona.”

“(Rodríguez) was better aquesta nit. No és gens més complicat que això. Era un lluitador millor que jo. Tom res d'ell.
“Mai em vaig sentir ferit durant la lluita. Era fort, però em vaig contenir la terra i mai estava en problemes. Li vaig enganxar amb alguns bons cops massa. Ell acaba d'aterrar més que jo. Aquesta és la meva culpa.
“Jo no estava frustrat. I just ran into a great fighter and aquesta nit was his night. tornaré. És només una baralla i una lliçó apresa.”
