Ron Johnson’s American Dream Presents & Nothing But Sportz Announce “The Caribbean Clash” Boxing Event at Miami’s James L. Knight Center on Saturday, Agost 9

Miami, FL – May 13, 2025 — American Dream Presents, led by CEO and professional boxer Ron Johnson, in association with Steve Marcano’s Nothing But Sportz, proudly announces “The Caribbean Clash,” an electrifying boxing and entertainment event taking place on Saturday, Agost 9 at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida.

This groundbreaking event will feature an eight-bout card spotlighting elite fighters from Haiti, Cuba, Port Ric, and across the Caribbean, representing a true celebration of Caribbean pride, talent, and culture. The Caribbean Clash is the first of a multi-part series, with the second installment slated for November 2025.

“Miami is home to one of the most diverse Caribbean populations in the U.S.,” said Ron Johnson, CEO of American Dream Presents. “From Little Haiti to Little Havana, there’s an incredible fan base here that’s proud of their heritage and passionate about boxing. This event is about giving them something to cheer for—and to celebrate.”

In addition to world-class boxing, The Caribbean Clash will feature live musical performances from some of the hottest artists from the Caribbean islands, delivering a vibrant, high-energy experience that celebrates the spirit of the Caribbean both inside and outside the ring.

Stadium, which reaches approximately 25 milions U.S. households via free over-the-air broadcasts, is owned by Jerry Reinsdorf—the longtime owner of both the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago White Sox—further underscoring the network’s strong ties to major league sports.

Heralded Prospect Jalen Walker in Action on Saturday night in Miami

Walker of Los Angeles is 7-0 with six knockouts and is looking to add his most experienced foe to his resume.


After a successful amateur career that saw him amass a record of 108-13, and was a three-time National PAL champion; Two-Time Silver Medal winner in the Junior Olympics; Time-Time Silver Medal winner in the Adidas Nationals among his endless accolades. Walker turned professional at the age of 17.


Walker won his first six bouts in Tijuana, Mexico before winning his American debut, which was a unanimous decision over Diuhl Olguin.
“I am ready to put on a show. I have put in a lot of hard work for this fight. I have seen a little bit of Aristule. I do not look at too much of my opponents, I let my team do that, but what I have seen is that he is on his way out,” va dir Walker.


Aristule of Argentina has had a successful career by amassing a record of 34-14 amb 17 nocauts, and is a former WBO Latino Super Bantamweight champion. He defeated two undefeated fighters, and has wins over several more quality opponents.


The ambitious Walker kept in good shape during the Coronavirus lockdown, and was ready for action when he took on Olguin last December 20th.

Walker has gained valuable experience sparring with several world champions such as Danny Roman, Àngel Acosta, José Díaz Jr. and Murodjon Akhmadaliev .


Jalen is on the cusp of signing with a major promoter, and he knows that he brings a lot to the table both in and out of the ring.

Nutley, Nova Jersey (Juliol 19, 2017)–Middleweight contender Antoine Douglas and super bantamweight Adam Lopez are coming off strong showings this past Divendres night at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma.
Douglas took out late-replacement Juan De Angel in round four of a non-televised bout, while Lopez battled to a disputed draw in a bout that most ringside observers and fans watching throughout the country on ShoBox: The NewGeneration had Lopez coming out on top of his eight-round battle with undefeated Glenn Dezurn.
Douglas de Burke, Virginia won via 4th round stoppage when he landed a hard right to the body that put De Angel down for the ten count .

MIAMI, Oklahoma. (Juliol 15, 2017) – Ivan Baranchyk went the distance with Keenan Smith in front of Baranchyk’s adopted hometown in the main event of a quadrupleheader featuring eight returning fighters els divendres ShoBox: La Nova Generaciófrom Buffalo Run Casino & Recurs.

“They weren’t playing fair,” Smith said. “Anything that I did, the referee was on me. I was hitting him with clean body shots, and he kept telling me to keep them up, and then he took a point for holding. I don’t know what fight [els jutges] were watching.”

The fight was a hard-hitting and physical affair from the beginning. Baranchyk came out swinging, landing just 21% of his jabs and 29% of total punches, edging out Smith who landed just 22% of his total punches.

“I thought I did enough to win,” said the still-undefeated Dezurn, who spars with his wife, women’s pro fighter Franchon Crews. “I’m just fortunate for this opportunity and hope [López] and I can come back strong and fight again someday.”

The first round was a round of give-and-take where both Dezurn and Lopez landed and sustained an impressive amount of body punches. It was Lopez who originally appeared more subdued, foregoing the counterpunch as Dezurn worked the jab.

By the fifth round it was clear Dezurn was losing steam when Lopez began to break him down and force him against the ropes. Lopez went on to dominate the sixth and seventh rounds, when Dezurn, clearly out-fought, looked tired and began to lean over.

“After the first round, I dominated the action,” va dir López, who has now fought on ShoBox a record-tying six times. Potser [Dezurn] won the seventh, but I whipped him. I should have won the fight, this was a redemption for me. Once I got used to his speed, I feel I won rounds six to two. The whole fight, his back was against the ropes and I beat up his body.”

Trained by the famed Coach Barry Hunter, the still-undefeated Dezurn made a valiant comeback in the final round, where he came back to life.

“I thought it was fair,” Hunter said. “We came on in the middle rounds, and Glenn won the seventh and eighth to get us the draw. It all came down to the stretch and I thought we did enough to win those rounds.”

The bout will precede a televised quadruple-header that will feature Keenan Smith (11-0, 5 KOs) fighting Ivan Baranchyk 15-0, 10 KOs) in the eight-round junior welterweight main event. En combats co-protagonitzats, Kenneth Sims, Jr. (12-0, 4 KOs) battles Rolando Chinea (14-1-1, 6 KOs) in a junior welterweight bout, and Glenn Dezurn (9-0, 6 KOs) takes on Adam Lopez (16-1-1, 8 KOs) in a super bantamweight fight. The televised card will kick off with a super bantamweight fight that will pit Joshua Greer (13-1-1, 5 KOs) against LeRoy Davila (5-1, 3 KOs).
