Atlantic City, New Jersey (Maj 31, 2018)–Super Middleweight contender Derrick “Take It To The Bank” Webster (25-1, 13 Kos) feels the time is now to take on the big boys of the division, but in order to secure a bout with a top contender or champion, he first must get by Oscar Riojas (16-9-1, 5 Kos) of Monterrey, Mexico in the 10-round main event this Friday night vid The Claridge Hotel.

Webster av Glassboro, New Jersey has been working hard in the gym as he prepares for this most important bout.

 

 

 

“I have had an amazing camp, I have been getting great work and seeing different looks,” sa Webster, who has been working under the guidance of his long-time trainer Denny Brown.

 

 

 

In Riojas, he is facing a battle-tested veteran who has taken on seven undefeated opponents as well as 2 VM-titel utmanare.

 

 

 

“I know he has fought Brandon Robinson. Robinson is a close friend to me, and what I saw in that fight is that Robinson hit him with some good shots, and I don’t know how he withstood them. Riojas came in after another opponent fell out for me. The funny thing is that he thinks that he can beat me, but on June 1st, he will know that he does not belong in the same ring as me.”

 

 

 

Webster has been looking for a signature fight in the suddenly hot 168-pound division, and after this fight on Friday, Webster will be looking to make his mark.

 

 

 

“I am ranked number-5 in the USBA, so maybe someone for that belt or the NABF. I have to fight for the bigger regional titles as a pathway to the world championship. I have been asking for Groves after he gets done with the WBSS Tournament or WBA champion Tyrin Zeuge. I would also like to take on WBO champion Gilberto Ramirez.”

 

 

 

This is a special weekend for Atlantic City Boxing as the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of fame will have it’s 2nd induction weekend, and may of the legends of the sport will be in attendance to watch Webster fight.

This last year has been rough, as I have been going through a bad situation in my personal life, but I have to thank Mis Downing, Roy Jones Jr., Ray McCline and my trainer Denny Brown to have helped me get through this. Atlantic City, N.J. – 26 april, 2018 – As part of the 2nd annual induction weekend, the Atlantic City Boxing Hall of Fame presents the “ACBHOF Fight Fan Experience” which will take place on Saturday, June 2nd at The Claridge Hotel.

 

 

 

“The Fight Fan Experience” is a bonus for boxing fans to an already action-packed weekend that will include a Meet-And-Greet, two professional fight cards, and induction ceremonies.

Sheppard is coming off a loss to undefeated Simon Kean on December 16, 2017 i Laval, Quebec, Kanada.

Pham of Pleasantville, New Jersey har ett register över 7-1 med 3 knockouts, and is coming off an explosive 2nd round stoppage over Jose Valderrama on January 28th at The Claridge.
“Allt har varit bra,”said Pham.”I am getting sharp, and working on my quickness and reflexes. “I have been training the whole time. I went right back in the gym on the Måndag after my last fight.”
Fields is a late-replacement, so that took some last minute studying for Pham.
“Jag vet att han är 4-1, so he knows how to win, but I am ready to fight anyone. After the loss that I suffered, I can’t be picky on who I am fighting.”
After dropping a unanimous decision to Christopher Brooker on July 9, 2016, Pham has been working very hard to continue on the winning track.

Atlantic City, NJ (Januari 11, 2017) – Thomas “Cornflake” Lamanna will battle veteran Eduardo Flores eight-round junior middleweight bout on lördagkväll, January 28th vid Claridge Hotel i Atlantic City.

In that bout, LaManna fought a good fight and had solid moments throughout the hotly contested bout that was for the USBA Welterweight title.

LaManna is moving back up to the 154 pound division where LaManna is undefeated (7-0 mellan 148-154 pounds) in the division for which he turned professional in 2011.

LaManna won his first 16 ändarna, where enjoyed wins over Ashanti Gibbs and Jamaal Davis.

After suffering his first professional defeat to undefeated middleweight prospect Antoine Douglas, LaManna ripped off five consecutive victories that was highlighted by by a 4th round stoppage over Kendal Mena (20-3).

I 6 Ligt sam-feature, former IBF Cruiserweight champion Imamu Mayfield will be making his long awaited comeback in a Heavyweight bout.
Mayfield of Perth Amboy, New Jersey will making his first appearance in just for 8-years.
Mayfield won the IBF Cruiserweight championship when he won a 12-round unanimous decision over Uriah Grant on November 8, 1997. He made one defense and was stopped by Arthur Williams on October 30, 1998.
Mayfield won the USBA Cruiserweight title with 10th round stoppage over Gary Wilcox on June 30, 2001.
Mayfield has also fought world champions Juan Carlos Gomez, Krzystof Wlodarczyk and Alexander Povetkin.

ATLANTIC CITY (DECEMBER 11, 2015)–I lördags kväll, Thomas Lamanna gjorde en lyckad resa i weltervikt divisionen genom att hamra ut en 8-runda enhälligt beslut över Ariel Vasquez vid Claridge Hotel i Atlantic City.
Kortet presenterades inför en entusiastisk publik på The nästan slutsålda Claridge, som presenterade en In-Arena värd och som giveaways till publiken under hela kvällen.

Lamanna använde en mångsidig arsenal av slag som presenterade karosseri, jabs och en bra rak hand på olika punkter i kampen. Lamanna visade grus som Vasquez var spelet genom ibland smyga in en rak vänster att ju större Lamanna kunde gå igenom. Den enda fläck för Lamanna var att han var dras en poäng för låga slag i omgång fyra men han kunde med massor av 79-72 två gånger och 78-73.

Lamanna, 148 lbs omMillville, NJ är 19-1. Vasquez, 144 pund i Managua, Nicaragua är 12-12-2.

I 6 Ligt heavyweight sam-feature, Willis Lockett kunde vinna en 6-runda enhälligt beslut över John Lennox.

Lockett vann matchen på styrkan att landa en serie flush rätt händer som sett bra men aldrig skada Lennox. Lennox var mer aktiv ibland och fick i vissa berättar blåser men det var inte nog som Lockett vann med massor av 59-55 två gånger och 58-56.

Lockett är nu 14-14-4. Lennox är 13-4.

Quian Davis gjorde processen kort med Santario Holdbrooks i en schemalagd fyra runt Heavyweight bout.

Davis var hela Holdbrooks från öppningen klockan och kampen varade bara 26 sekunder.

Davis är 1-0-1 med 1 knockout. Holdbrooks är 0-3.

Alshamar Johnson och Villi Vacker kämpade till en underhållande 4 runt oavgjort i en mellanvikt bout.

Båda killarna turades vara chefen i kampen och rundor var nära och innehöll massor av tå till tå åtgärder. Varje fighter tog en ett kort på 39-37. Ett kort läsa även på 38-38.

Bello är 3-1-1. Johnson är 1-1-1.

Öppningen skjutningen såg debuting Ecuador Luis Perozo poäng en 1: a omgången stopp över Davonta Steele i en schemalagd 4 runt Jr. Weltervikt bout.

Perozo, som nu bor i Queens, New York tappade Steele från en kropp skott och kampen stoppades vid 2:11.

Perozo gjorde sin pro debut. Steele av Concord, NC är 0-2.

John Lennox (13-3, 5 KO: s) av Carteret, NJ kommer att ta på Willis Lockett av Takoma Park, MD.
Lennox kommer vara ute efter att komma tillbaka i vinst kolumnen efter att släppa ett enhälligt beslut till Dan Pasciolla på 15 augusti. The former college football standout has a win over Patrick Farrell (8-1-1).
Lockett är en 14 årig veteran, som inför topp konkurrens som Brian Minto, Javier Mora, Tommy Karpency, förre världsmästaren Keith Holmes, Jerson Ravelo, Aaron Pryor Jr, Tarvis Simms och Michael Seals.
Han har kvalitet vinner över Tyrone Tate, Glenn Turner, Willie Williams & tidigare VM-titel utmanare Larry Marks.

Lamanna (18-1, 7 KO: s) närliggande Millville, New Jersey kommer att delta i en 8-runda weltervikt bout mot en motståndare som ska namnges.

Den 23 åriga Lamanna blev professionell 2011 och vann sina första sexton matcher som lyftes fram av segrar över Ashandi Gibbs & Jamaal Davis.
