Atlantic City, New Jersey (Mars 12, 2018)–Chazz Witherspoon raised his winning streak to eight in a row as he went the eight-round distance by won a unanimous decision over Lamont Capers that headlined a seven-bout card at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.
The show, which took place this past Lördag, was promoted by Mis Downing Promotions and Silverspoon Promotions.
Witherspoon was able to outpoint the crafty Capers. Capers was very competitive, but it was Witherspoon’s size and harder punches that proved to be the difference as he captured the via 78-74, 78-74 och 77-75 poäng.
Witherspoon av Paulsboro, NJ är nu 37-3. Capers, who was fighting for the 2nd time in seven days är 9-12-4.
Willis Lockett took a six-round majority decision over Prince Badi Ajamu in a cruiserweight bout.
Lockett of Takoma Park, MD won by scores of 59-55, 58-56 och 57-57, och är nu 16-22-6. Ajamu of Camden, NJ är 28-4-1.
Superlätt John Bauza remained undefeated with a six-round unanimous decision over David Morales.

Mike Hilton won a three-round technical unanimous decision over Hector Perez.
The fight was a terrific back and forth brawl when Perez suffered a cut over his right eye in the third frame.
Perez almost made a quick night for himself as he dropped Hilton in the 1st round. Hilton stormed back to register his own knockdown’s in round two and three.

Poängen var 28-26 on all cards at the time of he stoppage.

Edgar Cortes won a four-round unanimous decision over Kevin Asmat in a featherweight bout.

Atlantic City, New Jersey (Mars 8, 2018)–Kraftigt Chazz “Gentleman” Witherspoon is looking for a big fight in the suddenly hot heavyweight division. In order to get into the mix he will need a victory denna lördag night when he takes on veteran Mike Sheppard in in the eight-round main event on at The Claridge Hotel i Atlantic City.
The Witherspoon – Sheppard bout will headline a nine-bout card, promoted by Mis Downing Promotions and Silver Spoon Promotions.
Witherspoon, 36-3 med 28 knockouts, is on a six-fight knockout streak, and has not lost in almost six years.
Witherspoon will be making his first start since stopping Carlos Sandoval in the 4th round on October 1, 2016.
“Everything is good, and despite me having a layoff, I am never too far out of shape, so I don’t expect to have any ring rust,” sade 36 year-old native of Paulsboro, New Jersey.
In Sheppard, Witherspoon is taking on a veteran, who has fought a handful of top heavyweights.
“He is a veteran, and he has 25 vinner, so you have to respect that. I am not taking him lightly.”
Witherspoon is done taking layoffs, and he does not expect anymore layoffs.
“I want to stay as busy as possible, so I can be ready for big fights. I am closing in on 40 vinner, so with the heavyweight division getting hot again, I feel with my record, that I should be able to get into the mix. I always like fighting in Atlantic City. It is a 40 minute drive from my home. It has been a pleasure working with Mis Dowing Promotions, and I look forward to a great night på lördag.”

Atlantic City, New Jersey (Januari 25, 2018)–Mis Downing promotions is primed for a big year in 2018.
The New Jersey based promotion staged it’s inaugural events in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in 2017, and already has four dates on the schedule for 2018.
The 1st of those events will take place på lördag natt, March 10th at The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City.
“We are very excited for a great year of boxing,” said Mis Downing. “We have a tremendous event planned for March 10th where I will be co-promoting with Silver Spoon Promotions, and have Chazz Witherspoon in the main event. We have some of the best fighters in the area that will make up a great undercard.”
The full card and ticket information for the March 10th show will be announced next week.
“We have at least three more dates, and we want to feature great fights while providing the fans with terrific entertainment. We are also about to announce the signing of some terrific fighters that we plan to build and feature on our events. We are looking to bring a lot of shows to Atlantic City, and I want to congratulate the new mayor Frank Gilliam on his inauguration.”

Young of Atlantic City has a record of 18-2 med sex knockouts, and is riding a seven fight winning streak.
Den 29 year-old Young is a six-year veteran who has garnered wins over Jose Javier Calderon (4-1), and is coming off a six-round unanimous decision over 56-fight veteran Carlos Winston Velasquez on August 19th at The Claridge.
This will be Young’s 4th consecutive start at The Claridge and 12th overall fight in his hometown of Atlantic City.

Witherspoon takes on Marrone in 2

Bristol, PA (Augusti 6, 2016) – Chazz Witherspoon scored his fifth consecutive knockout victory as he took out former world title challenger Mike Marrone in round two of their scheduled six-round heavyweight bout in the main event at the Grundy Arena.

The eight-bout card was promoted by D and D Promotions and Silver Spoon Promotions.

Witherspoon sent Marrone to the canvas in round one with a left hook. Seconds later it was a hard 1-2 that sent Marrone down for a second time.

I rond två, Witherspoon landed a booming right that deposited Marrone on the canvas for a third time. Marrone got to his feet but the fight was waved off at 1:31.

Witherspoon av Paulsboro, New Jersey is now 35-3 med 27 knockouts. Marrone of Vero Beach, Florida is 21-6.

Samuel Seah won a four round unanimous decision over Samuel Amoako in a junior welterweight bout.

Teah of Philadelphia won by scores of 40-36 på alla kort och är nu 8-1. Amoako of Silver Spring, MD is 21-13.

Elijah Vines stopped Julian Valerio in round three of their scheduled four round middleweight brawl.

I runda tre, Vines drilled Valerio a multitude of times with power punches that continuously snapped the head of Valerio’s head back until a moment later when Vines landed some hard body punches and referee Hurley McCall stopped the fight at 2:37.

Vines of Philadelphia is 3-0 med tre knockouts. Valerio of Brooklyn, NY is 3-4.

Good looking prospect, Jaron Ennis stopped Matthew Murphy in round two of a scheduled four round junior welterweight bout.

I rond två, Ennis sent Murphy to a knee after landing a barrage of punches. Seconds later, It was a left to the body that sent Murphy down and the fight was stopped at 2:53.

Ennis of Philadelphia is 5-0 med fem knockouts. Murphy of St. Louis, MO is 1-3.

Mike Hilton remained undefeated by stopping Cortez Reed at 1:57 in the fourth and final scheduled round of their cruiserweight bout.

Hilton of Trenton, NJ, är nu 3-0 with all wins coming via stoppage. Reed of Atlanta, GA är 1-3.

Emanuel Taylor stopped Carlos Aguilera in round two of their scheduled eight round junior welterweight bout.

Taylor cracked Aguilera with a left hook to the ribs that dropped him. He could not get to his feet and fight was over at 2:07.

Taylor of Edgewood, MD is now 20-4 med 14 knockouts. Aguilera of Chiapas, MX is 10-18.

Leshawn Rodriguez demolished Jason Whar inside of one round of their scheduled four round middleweight bout.

Rodriguez dropped Whar three times in round one, with the last coming from a left hook and the bout was stopped at 1:55.

Rodriguez of Shirley, New York är 4-0 med fyra knockouts. Wahr of Virginia Beach, Virginia är 4-13.

Luis Perozo remained undefeated by winning a 4-round unanimous decision over Alberto Martinez in a lightweight bout.

I rond två, Perozo scored a knocked down from a right hand.

In the meantime, Witherspoon will continue and promote the sport. Along with D & D Promotions, he is the co-promoter of Saturday’s fight.
“We have been trying to get the word out to the area. It’s a good surrounding area with Neshaminy and Bensalem and just over the bridge, you have Burlington, Florence and Willingboro.”
Seeing action in the eight-round co-feature will be junior welterweight Emanuel “The Tranzforma” Taylor (19-4, 13 KO: s) slåss Carlos Aguilera (10-16, 4 KO: s) of Chiapas, Mexiko.

With a win, Taylor is earmarked for a September fight with WBO number-two ranked Jose Zepeda.

The Taylor – Aguilera bout is promoted in association with Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing.

In a six-round bout, Alvin Vermall Jr.. (10-0-1, 8 KO: s) av Catskillsen, NY kommer att ta på James Jones (2-8, 1 KO) of Nashville, NJ in a cruiserweight bout

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Juli 22, 2016)-Weltervikt Anthony “Saft” Unga won a six-round unanimous decision over veteran Eduardo Flores in the featured bout of a nine-bout card det senaste Fredag natt vid Claridge in Atlantic City.
The bout headlined a sold out night of boxing that was promoted by Rising Promotions. It was the fourth consecutive sold out event in the last eight months that Rising Promotions has staged.
The co-feature saw welterweight Thomas “Cornflake” Lamanna tuned up for a major bout in the fall with a first round destruction of Engleberto Valenzuela in a super welterweight bout.
Unga, of Atlantic City systematically took apart Flores, despite Flores trying to frustrate Young by coming in with wild shots for which some strayed behind the head.
Till slut, It was Young, who was not headlining for the first time, but being spurred on by his hometown fans and he was able to get the victory to the tune of 60-54 & 59-55 två gånger.
Young of Atlantic City is now 13-2. Flores of Ecuador is 23-22-5.
Lamanna av Millville, New Jersey took apart his Mexican opponent with a hard combination that sent Valenzuela into the corner.
