UPCOMING PREMIER BOXING CHAMPIONS EVENTS CANCELLED

Due to the growing concerns over COVID-19, Premier Boxing Champions scheduled events for March and April have been cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date. At this time there’s no information regarding future shows. “The health and safety of the boxers, fans and those working the events are of utmost importance to us,” zei Tom Brown, President of TGB Promotions and lead promoter for the cancelled shows. “We are all disappointed and as we get more information we will address future events.”

FFC 34 op november. 9 At Fight Dome Las Vegas is geannuleerd

LAS VEGAS, NV (November 8, 2018) – Vanwege redenen met medische problemen, Final Fight Championship heeft aangekondigd dat: “FFC 34” op 9 november is officieel geannuleerd.

 

 

 

Nick Sadeghi, MD van Athlete Advantage Medical in Las Vegas, NV, heeft de volgende verklaring vrijgegeven aan Final Fight Championship.

 

De Nevada State Athletic Commission vereist dat een reeks medische onderzoeken wordt uitgevoerd door een professionele jager om de medische toestand van een jager te bepalen, de uitkomst van die examens die bepalen of de jager toestemming krijgt om deel te nemen of niet. Van het grootste belang is het fysieke welzijn van de vechter. Er werd vastgesteld door onafhankelijke artsen die de examens voor FFC uitvoerden, evenals de Nevada State Athletic Commission dat verschillende vechters die gepland waren om te strijden op de vechtkaart van 9 november niet zouden kunnen concurreren vanwege abnormale MRA-bevindingen die kleine aneurysma's in de hersenen identificeerden. Voor duidelijke redenen, deze jagers konden niet worden vrijgemaakt om te concurreren zonder de juiste medische behandeling. Dit omvat overleg met een neurochirurg en een interventieradioloog. Sommige jagers kunnen hierna worden gewist, maar sommigen hebben mogelijk een chirurgische ingreep nodig om het aneurysma te corrigeren voordat hij of zij in de toekomst kan blijven vechten.

 

 

 

FFC CEO/voorzitter, Orsat Zovko, heeft zijn eigen verklaring afgegeven met betrekking tot de ongelukkige annulering.

 

 

 

“We zijn teleurgesteld om deze aankondiging te doen, maar op zo'n korte termijn was het onmogelijk om vooruit te komen omdat vier van onze zes gevechten werden gestopt door de commissie en medisch personeel, inclusief ons Main Event en Co-Event,” zei Zovko.

 

 

 

“We moeten de strikte regels en richtlijnen van de Nevada Athletic Commission volgen, en we respecteren de beslissingen van de medische gemeenschap, omdat het in het belang van de strijders is, en hun gezondheid beschermen is het uiteindelijke doel.”

CES AND NEF FORCED TO CANCEL CO-PROMOTIONAL EVENT

Lewiston, Maine (Oktober 3, 2016) – The CES and NEF co-promotion scheduled for November 4 in Lewiston is no more. Executives from both companies announced today that the mixed-martial-arts event had been canceled due to matchmaking issues.

 

With several fighters pulling off the AXS TV portion of the card, and others turning down fights offered by matchmakers, and with the 30-day deadline to submit the fight card to the state commission for approval looming, the two companies were left with no choice but to call the event off.

 

“We are disappointed that this event didn’t materialize as planned,” said CES Vice President and Director of Legal Affairs Jimmy Burchfield, Jr. “But we are optimistic that we can make it happen in 2017.”

 

Details will follow for CES 39.

 

“It’s unfortunate, but we had no other option,” said NEF promoter Nick DiSalvo. “When one door closes, another opens.”

 

The door that has opened is Zaterdag, November 19 op de Androscoggin Bank Colisee. NEF will present “NEF 26,” and it will feature the promotion’s fighters who had already been scheduled to compete on November 4 plus many others. Deuren gaan open om 6 pm with first fight at 7 pm. NEF chose to push the event date back two weeks in order to give new fighters added to the card more time to prepare.

 

“Once we made the mutual decision to cancel the event,” said NEF matchmaker Matt Peterson, “I got on the phone and immediately started making calls. Within hours we had already assembled a spectacular card that we’ll be sharing with fans this week. No one will be disappointed when they make the trek to the Colisee on November 19th. We have an explosive event planned.”

 

For those who have already purchased tickets for November 4 through the Colisee box office, they will have the option of either a full refund or using their ticket for November 19. Fans will have until this Friday, Oktober 7 bij 4 pm EDT to call the box office at 207-783-2009 X 525 to request a full refund. The box office cannot refund tickets purchased from fighters. Any fan who purchased a ticket from a fighter and would like a refund will have to return their ticket to the fighter for the refund. Fans who choose to keep their tickets for November 19do not have to do anything. All tickets printed with the “November 4” date will be honored at the door on November 19.

DIBELLA ENTERTAINMENT STATEMENT REGARDING CUELLAR VS. MARES

New York, NY (6/17/16) - Regrettably, due to a medical issue that renders former three-division world champion Abner Mares presently unable to fight in New York State, the Cuellar vs. Mares fight has been cancelled and will be replaced on the SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING on CBS, Georganiseerd door Premier Boxing Champions, telecast next Zaterdag, Juni 25. Abner’s condition is in no way life-threatening, nor was it revealed in a blood or urine test; there was no use of any drugs, including PEDs or other banned substances.

 

In honoring Abner’s right to medical confidentiality, no further information will be released on this situation unless he chooses.

 

An announcement will be forthcoming with respect to the replacement bout that will open the SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING on CBS, Georganiseerd door Premier Boxing Champions, uitzending.

“KNOCKOUT NIGHT AT THE D” FIGHT CARD FOR MARCH 12 CANCELLED

LAS VEGAS – “Knockout Night at the D,” the boxing fight card to feature headliners Zab Judah vs. Josh Torres at the Centrum van Las Vegas Events Center (DLVEC), has been cancelled for Zaterdag, Maart 12.
Derek Stevens, CEO van het D Las Vegas en DLVEC, zei, “Last night, I received multiple calls from the Nevada Athletic Commission regarding eligibility concerns. After our discussions, it became apparent the fight card could not move forward. Although I’m disappointed with the situation, I appreciate the phone calls and look forward to working with the Nevada Athletic Commission on future boxing events at the DLVEC.”
Vorig jaar, DLVEC launched several successful boxing events, with Stevens leading the charge to bring outdoor boxing back to Las Vegas.
All ticket purchases will be reimbursed. Credit card transactions will be automatically refunded and cash refunds will be issued at their point of purchase.
