Los Angeles, Californië, April 25 – 2019 – Ringstar Sports is proud to announce the signing of the most prominent Mexican Amateur fighter, Fernando Molina. Op slechts 16 jaar, Molina has one of the best amateur records in Mexico. Geboren in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Molina started boxing at the age of 6. Sindsdien, Molina has compiled an amazing record including 200 amateur wins. Among those wins were 4 State Championships, 4 Regional Championships, and Gold in the 2017 National Junior Championship.

Discovered by world renowned boxing manager, Shelly Finkel, the young talent has all the tools to become a superstar. “Fernando Molina is a rare talent with an exciting style. Although only 16 jaar oud, he impressed me with his maturity in and outside the ring. I am happy to work with him and help make his dream of becoming a world champion a reality,” said Finkel.

World-renowned promoter Richard Schaefer, Chief Executive of Ringstar Sports, will promote Molina. “I am blessed to have had the opportunity to promote some of the biggest names in the sport over the past 20 jaar. Figueroa (16-0, 11 KO), the brother of former lightweight world champion Omar Figueroa, Jr., continues to climb the ladder in the featherweight division with a step up match against the tough former title challenger Escandon. The 21-year-old out of Weslaco, Texas was busy last year as he won all four of his matches and he has logged two knockout victories this year, beating Giovanni Delgado in March and Luis Roy Suarez Cruz in his last fight on August 4.

 

 

 

De 34-jarige Escandon (25-4, 17 KO), who fought in the 2004 Olympian for Colombia, is a hardnosed veteran from Ibague, Colombia looking to rebound from two tough losses to Tugstsogt Nyambayar on May 26 on FS1 and WBC featherweight champion Gary Russell, Jr. in 2017.

 

 

 

A 6-foot-6 heavyweight, Joyce (5-0, 5 KO) won the silver medal in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games as a super heavyweight from Great Britain. The 32-year-old from London turned pro in 2017 and has been on a knockout roll since. Joyce, whose nickname is ‘Juggernaut,’ has ended four of his five fights inside of two rounds. He scored a first-round KO victory over Ivica Bacurin in his last fight on June 15.

 

Kiladze (26-3, 18 KO) is an experienced veteran who will test Joyce early in his young career. The 32-year-old out of Ukraine who now lives in Los Angeles and will be looking to rebound from back-to-back losses to Michael Hunter and Adam Kownacki. Before those losses he had put together a six-match win streak.

 

 

 

The 22-year-old Baldera's (6-0, 5 KO), a first-generation Mexican-American, competed on the U.S. Olympic boxing team in the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil before turning pro in April 2017. Representing Santa Maria, Calif., Balderas scored knockout victories in his last two fights and will look to make it three in a row when he enters the ring on September 30.

 

 

 

De 24-jarige Ajagba (6-0, 5 KO), who represented Nigeria in the 2016 Olympische Spelen, will be stepping into the ring again a month after his last match ended in disqualification. Zijn tegenstander, Curtis Harper, walked out of the ring without throwing a punch after touching gloves and the bell sounded to start the fight on Aug. 24 that was live on FS1.

Ortiz (32-6-3, 25 KO) is an all-action boxer-puncher who comes to fight and is always in exciting battles. The 31-year-old southpaw has one of the best resumes of anyone in the welterweight division having been in against Floyd Mayweather, Andre Berto twice, Lamont Peterson, Luis Collazo and Marcos Maidana. Ortiz, who was born in Garden City, Kansas and now lives in Ventura, Californië, is coming off a majority draw against Devon Alexander in February.

 

 

 

“We’ve known each other a long time and we’re both always in exciting battles, so fans should expect nothing less on September 30,” Said Ortiz. “I had a broken eye socket from an injury in the second round of the Alexander fight, but I’m feeling 100 percent now. I’m ready to take what is rightfully mine, and that’s another world title down the road. It’s going to be a way from round one and I can’t wait.”

 

 

 

Molina (30-7, 24 KO) has never backed down from a challenge and has been in the ring with some of the best boxers from lightweight to welterweight during his career. The 35-year-old from Covina, California beat a fierce Ruslan Provodnikov by unanimous decision in 2016. Another standout battle from Molina’s career saw him drop former welterweight champion Lucas Matthysse twice before losing on an 11th round knockout. In his last fight he scored a fourth round TKO victory over Ivan Redkach in a back-and-forth bout from December on FS1.

 

 

 

“I respect Victor and everything he’s accomplished in this game, but I know that I have the tools to overcome everything he does,” Said Molina. “Everyone knows that I’m in it to win it. We’re both going to be ready to mix it up and throw bombs. There is no way that I see this fight going the distance. “Er is altijd een risico in elk gevecht. We zijn zeer goed voorbereid op deze grote uitdaging en Mikey bevindt zich mentaal op een geweldige plek. Easter is een lange man waarvan ik zeker weet dat hij zal proberen zijn bereik te gebruiken en van buitenaf te vechten. Maar we zullen klaar zijn voor wat hij ook brengt.

 

 

 

“Dit is duidelijk een groot gevecht voor Mikey tegen een andere elite-bokser. Wanneer twee ongeslagen jongens zich verenigen, het is altijd groot. We hadden geweldige sparringpartners die Mikey voorbereidden om op zijn best te zijn.

“Het Wilder-gevecht is wat het is. Het is nu verleden tijd, en ik heb er geen spijt van. Uiteindelijk wil ik de herkansing en ik geloof dat ik de herkansing verdien. Ze rennen nog steeds voor mij weg en ze rennen duidelijk voor Wilder, maar ik vlucht voor niemand.

 

 

 

“Een overwinning op zaterdagavond zal mij weer in de rij zetten voor de herkansing tegen Deontay Wilder. Vechten is wat ik weet te doen, en dat is wat ik zaterdagavond kom doen. We zijn allebei hongerig naar een overwinning en we zullen zien wie er als beste uit de bus komt.

 

 

 

“Ik heb geleerd dat ik nog harder moet trainen, harder vechten, gooi meer en verbind meer. Als ik niet moe was geweest, Ik zou hem vandaag nog steeds slaan. Ik gooide de klok weg in de sportschool. We zullen in de toekomst slimmer worden.”

 

RAZVAN COJANU

 

 

 

“Ik ben erg klaar voor deze matchup. Toen we dit telefoontje kregen, Ik was al in vorm. We moesten ons gewoon aanpassen aan het vechten tegen een linkshandige. We hebben ongeveer een maand heel leuk sparren in de aanloop naar dit gevecht.

LOS ANGELES, (Mei 15, 2018) — Op mei 5th in Londen, Engeland, boxing history was made when 2016 Olympisch zilveren medaille Joe Joyce became the first fighter to win the Commonwealth Heavyweight Championship in just his fourth professional fight.

 

 

 

On the undercard of Bellew-Haye at the O2, Joyce, 32 dropped champion Lenroy Thomas three times before finally stopping him in the second round. It was an impressive display of power, poise and accuracy and one that has already placed the Haymaker/Ringstar boxer squarely in the center of all conversations regarding the stacked Heavyweight division.

 

 

 

Joyce is eagerly anticipating his next challenge; be it the newly crowned British Champion Hugie Fury or a possible showdown Derrick Chisora or the American Jarrell “Big Baby” Molenaar.

He continued to rise in the pound-for-pound list with victories over Anselmo Moreno and DanielPonce De Leon to win world titles at super bantamweight and featherweight. The June 9 bout will be Mares’ third contest with World Champion trainer Robert Garcia, who helped Mares to a title-winning victory in their first fight together.

Argentinian WBA super welterweight interim champion Brian Carlos Castaño (14-0, 10 KO) travels to France to make his first world championship title defense against challenger and former EBU titleholder Cedric Vitu (46-2, 19 KO) live from La Seine Musicale, in Parijs, Frankrijk.
“I look forward to the fight with the Frenchman Cedric Vitu. I want to put on a couple of great fights for the year coming up and the first should be with Cedric Vitu,” Castaño said.
Back in July, Castaño got his biggest win to date when he defeated Michel Soro in Evian, Frankrijk. Castaño is arguably the most gifted Argentine boxer to come along in many years. Prior to turning pro in 2012 he was highly regarded as an amateur.
During his amateur career that yielded nearly 180 wins, he beat 2012 Olympic Silver medalist Esquiva Falcao, U.S. Olympiër (and current IBF welterweight titleholder) Errol Spence Jr. and current middleweight standout Sergey Derevyanchenko.
Cedric Vitu held the EBU light middleweight title between 2015 en 2017, with three successful title defenses. Vitu first challenged for the EBU title in 2012, facing the undefeated Sergey Rabchenko in Manchester on the undercard of Ricky Hatton’s comeback bout against Vyacheslav Senchenko. Rabchenko, promoted by Hatton, prevailed on a split decision.
Op juni 2015, Vitu got another shot at the EBU title against Orlando Fiordigiglio in Brescia. He won the title beating Fiordigiglio by technical knockout in round 11. Back in France, Vitu retained his belt against Roberto Santos in December 2015 and Ruben Varon in March 2016. He was named European Boxer of the Year by the EBU on June 2016. Vitu notched another successful defense against Isaac Real on January 2017. In Mei, he fought in an IBF title eliminator against Marcello Matano. Vitu defeated Matano with a round 10 WHO, becoming the mandatory challenger to IBF champion, Jarrett Hurd. Following his win, Vitu vacated the EBU title.
The Super Welterweight championship fight will be supported in an explosive matchup between Souleymane Cissokho and Pavel Semjonon, and Ringstar Sports prospect, Geld Powell, IV vs. Gadzhimurad Ibragimov in a Super Middleweight bout.

LOS ANGELES (Juli 27, 2017) – Accomplished Super Heavyweight amateur and 2016 Olympiër cartoon Ajagba and fellow Nigerian Heavyweight amateur standout Efetobor Apochi have signed-on to become the latest promising young fighters to join the Bel Star Sportsroster. Both fighters will make their professional debuts on the Premier Boxing Champions event headlined by Victor Ortiz vs. Saul Corral this Zondag, Juli 30 live vanuit het Rabobank Theater in Bakersfield, Californië.

Born and raised in Ughelli Delta State, Nigeria, Efe Ajagba began boxing in 2011 at the age of seventeen and quickly discovered his craft on this way to a 41-2 (30 KO) amateur-record. In 2014, the 6’6 fighter was selected to compete in the Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow and went home with the bronze medal. Kort daarna, Ajagba took gold in the 2015 All African Games in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo. In 2016, he went on to win gold at the African Olympic Qualification event in Yaounde, Cameroon, landing him a spot on the 2016 Nigerian Olympic team. Op Zondag, Juli 30, Ajagba will make his professional debut against Tyrell Herndon (6-1-0, 2 KO) in a 6-round Heavyweight clash.

Born in the Philippines and living in California, Donaire burst onto the scene in 2007 after a stellar amateur career when he stopped previously unbeaten Vic Darchinyan in the fifth round to capture a flyweight world title. Donaire would defend the title with three more knockouts before he moved up to bantamweight and defeated unified champion Fernando Montiel in 2011 to becoming a two-division world champion.
Donaire’s next challenge came at super bantamweight as he made it 27 consecutive victories by knocking down and defeating Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. in 2012 to become a champion at 122-pounds. A banner year for Donaire continued with a title-unifying victory over Jeffrey Mathebula and knockouts over Jorge Arce and Toshiaki Nishioka. After the impressive run Donaire was recognized as the 2012 Fighter of the Year by the BWAA, ESPN and Ring Magazine.
A loss to Guillermo Rigondeaux ended a 30-fight win streak for Donaire, but he continued to add to his resume as he won a world title in a fourth weight class by winning a featherweight championship via technical decision over Simpiwe Vetyeka in 2014.
Another world title was added to Donaire’s ever-growing trophy case in 2015 when he defeated Cesar Juarez to capture a world title at super bantamweight. He defended the title successfully in the Philippines before losing a close decision to unbeaten Jessie Magdaleno last November.
Donaire, who is currently training in Japan, will be returning to the ring in September. Further details will be communicated as they become available
