Undefeated Ruben Villa Makes Homecoming Debut in Salinas, California on Saturday April 14th

FILADÈLFIA, PENN./ORANGE, Califòrnia. (Març 23, 2018)–Heralded featherweight prospect Ruben Villa returns home for the 1st time as a professional as he headlines in the Northern California city of Salinas on Saturday, Abril 14, from the popular Salinas Storm House.
The show is promoted by Banner Promotions and Thompson Boxing.
“Ruben has been coming along great, i en 14 d'abril, he will thrill his hometown fans,” va dir Banner Promotions president, Arthur Pelullo. “We are looking forward to this special night for Ruben, for him not only to put on a great performance in his hometown, but to capture his first championship.”
“This show has been in the works for more than a year,” va dir Alex Camponovo, who as Matchmaker and General Manager of Thompson Boxing. “It’s an excellent show from top-to-bottom featuring talent from all over the Bay Area and surrounding parts. You have Ruben looking to win his first professional title [Joventut de l'OMB] in his hometown.”

Vila, 20, will be locked in a battle with fellow prospect Marlon Olea (13-2, 12 KOs) of Colombia in the 8-round “New Blood” main event where the WBO Youth Featherweight Title is up for grabs. Vila, un zurdo, is currently in Riverside, Califòrnia. with trainer Max Garcia preparing for his main event debut.

“He’s a mover, and he’s quick with his hands,” Villa va dir. “I’ll be ready for him. We are getting a little bit of everything in this training camp. I’m sparring guys that like to box and guys that are coming in and pressuring.”

New to Villa for this fight has been the abundance of ticket requests from local boxing fans. The former two-time Golden Gloves Champion has already sold 400 entrades, yet the requests keep pouring in.

“Sincerament, I’m not sure how it’s going to feel to fight in my hometown,” Villa va dir. “I tend to tune out all the white noise and just box. I’m sure there will be some moments when I recognize the crowd. I have to enjoy it, but keep my poise.”

Filadèlfia, Pennsilvània (Agost 2, 2016)–Vitor Jones Freitas El rècord es va mantenir perfecte en aturar Licelio Da Silva Lucio a la primera ronda del seu combat de vuit rondes de pes lleuger programat aquest passat Dissabte Sao Paulo al, Brasil.
Amb la victòria, Freitas de Salvador, Brasil va millorar la seva marca sense taques 14-0, mentre anotava el seu vuitè nocaut.
La 23 Freitas, d'un any, va registrar dos derrocaments, tots dos amb ganxos esquerres al combat, que va durar just 79 segon.
Freitas, que és el nebot de l'ex-campió del món Acelino “Culata” Freitas, Ara buscarà tornar als Estats Units en un combat més destacat.
“Vitor s'està portant molt bé al Brasil. Rubén Villa destrueix Gerardo Molina a la primera ronda del debut professional

(Juliol 30, 2016)–Heralded amateur Ruben Villa (1-0, 1 KO) did not waste any time putting away challenger Gerardo Molina (1-2, 1 KO) aquest passat Divendres night in his professional debut. Villa landed a counter left hook early in the first round that sent Molina backpedaling onto the canvas. Seconds later, Vila, who is from Salinas, Qualif., rocked Molina with a series of punches, knocking him out at the 2:25 marca de la ronda inicial.
“It felt great to get that first win,” Villa va dir. “I didn’t go in thinking knockout, but I knew after the first knockdown that I was going to end it early. I had a bunch of friends and family in attendance. I’m glad I gave them something to smile about.”
“Ruben looked sensational in his pro debut,” va dir Banner Promotions president, Arthur Pelullo. “Even though it was just inside of one round, you could tell that Ruben is a tremendous talent, and we are looking forward to his next fight, which should be announced shortly.

Demetrio “Boo Boo” Andrade signa un nou contracte promocional amb Banner Promotions i Star Boxing de Joe DeGuardia

Filadèlfia, Pennsilvània. / Bronx, Nova York (Març 25,, 2016) – A Team Promotions, Arthur Pelullo’s Banner Promotions and Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing are pleased to announce the re-signing of former WBO junior middleweight world champion, Demetrio “Boo Boo” Andrade to a new exclusive multi-year promotional contract.
“We are very happy to have Demetrius re sign with Joe & Jo,” said Banner Promotions president, Arthur Pelullo.
“We are looking to move forward together with Demetrius becoming one of the major players in boxing. The next step is to win the WBC world title and then to unify all the title belts.”

La 27 year-old former world amateur champion and 2008 Olympian turned professional in 2008 and became the WBO junior middleweight world champion with a 12-round split decision over 2004 United States Olympian Vanes Martirosyan.

He made one defense of the crown by stopping Brian Rose in 7 rounds on June 14, 2014.

He is coming off a 2nd round stoppage over Dario Fabian Pucheta on Octubre 17 a Uncasville, Connecticut.
