FNU Combat Sports Mostra: Gran cap de setmana per a la boxa, UFC 225 i PFL Debut Night

Tom, Tony i Rich tenen un munt de terreny per cobrir en aquest episodi. Recaptem les baralles més importants de la setmana passada, començant amb el primer esdeveniment de boxa bareknuckle sancionat en centenars d'anys. També desglossem l'última targeta UFC Fight Night on Jimmie Rivera va guanyar la primera derrota de la seva última 21 baralles. Parlem de la diatriba de Dana White contra els lluitadors que no accepten les baralles que la companyia vol, i destruïm Canelo Álvarez i el seu equip per destruir totes les possibilitats d'una altra baralla amb GGG. Aprofitem una bona part de l'espectacle per descriure i analitzar tots els diferents partits de boxa que tenen lloc aquest dissabte, des del retorn de Tyson Fury al ring contra Sefer Seferi fins a la batalla de la lliura per la millor lliura i els pes welter invictes Jeremy Horn i Terrence Crawford lluitant a ESPN+ (que critiquem molt). També toquem la targeta de debut de la PFL, una lliga de lluita on tots els premis arriben al final de la temporada. Finalment, previsualitzem UFC 225 i discuteix les possibilitats de CM Punk de demostrar que és un autèntic lluitador en gàbia.

We also talk about Michael Bisping deciding to retire, weight cutting issues in the UFC, and a cop nicknamed “Blade” getting his 15 seconds of fame in a viral video where he boxes a teen in full uniform and comes out on top. This week on the FNU Combat Sports Show, Tom, Tony and Rich discuss a wide variety of topics. We start out with the ESPN/UFC broadcast rights deal for five years, 30 fight cards and $1.5 billion. We also discuss the infighting among boxing promoters lately with both Bob Arum and UK upstart Eddie Hearn scrambling to sign free agents while trying to fill slots for slated shows in the United States over the coming year. We go on to recap last week’s combat sports action, highlighting the Adonis Stevenson vs. Badou Jack majority draw and the Usman vs Maia 5-round snoozefest headlining last Saturday night’s UFC Fight Night card. We of course also preview this weekend’s boxing matches and the UFC and Bellator cards coming out of England. We even touch on the regulation of bareknuckle boxing and Bobby Gunn’s claim of no fatalities recorded in the sport. El programa d'esports de combat il·limitat de notícies de lluita d'aquesta setmana és una gran barreja de boxa i arts marcials mixtes. Tom, Tony i Rich cobreixen tota l'acció del cap de setmana passat i es meravellen amb el mestre del seu ofici que és Vasyl Lomachenko. Parlem de Chuck Liddell que sortirà de la jubilació amb Golden Boy MMA, i Tito Ortiz prenent el debat per ser el seu primer rival. També tenim una mica de debat sobre Raquel Pennington dient al seu racó que volia acabar després de la quarta ronda contra Amanda Nunes. Els seus entrenadors Pep la van convèncer perquè continués, que va provocar més pèrdua de sang i danys facials per part d'un oponent clarament més animat i fresc. Tom, Tony i Rich resumeixen l'acció de boxa de la setmana passada, inclòs el ràpid KO de Vanes Martirosyan de Gennadi Golovkin.
