Hernandez Returns to the Ring This Friday

RIVERSIDE, ZOALS (December 13, 2017) – Middengewicht vooruitzicht, Marcos “Madman” Hernandez (10-1, 2 KO), makes his way back to the ring this Friday, December 15th, tegen Oscar Mora (7-4, 6 KO). The 6-round bout will take place at the Pioneer Event Center in Lancaster, ZOALS, on the Vargas vs. Herrera card.
Hernandez, who is coming off an impressive victory against previously unbeaten prospect, Kevin Newman II (7-1-1, 3 KO), is wrapping up the final days of training camp with coach Henry Ramirez.
“I had a great training camp going into this fight.” Said Marcos Hernandez. “I’m very grateful to be fighting one more time before the end of the 2017. Since my lone loss earlier this year, I’ve really stepped up my game in all aspects. Training with Henry Ramierz has been a big boost to my career. I’m going to be well prepared for anything Mora brings to the ring. The move to middleweight has been good and I’m feeling a lot stronger. Fans can expect me to throw a lot of punching in this fight. It’s time to shine.”
UNBEATEN FEATHERWEIGHT PROSPECT EFREN “CHICO” LOPEZ RETURNS TO THE RING THIS FRIDAY IN LANCASTER, ZOALS

FRESNO, ZOALS (December 12, 2017) – Amateur standout, vedergewicht Efren “Jongen” Lopez (1-0, 1 KO), van Fresno, ZOALS, will step in the ring for the second time this year. The 4-round bout will take place on the Vargas vs. Herrera card at the Pioneer Event Center in Lancaster, ZOALS, this Friday December 15, 2017. Lopez will square off against Tyler Marshall.
Lopez age 21, who was an Olympic hopeful with over 200 vecht als een amateur, has a tremendous pedigree. He made his pro debut in July of 2016. During the last year he was able to get his (A.S.) degree in phycology and communications. He’s trained by Ruben Guerrero Sr., but will be guided by former world champion, Robert “The Ghost” Krijger, voor deze strijd. The Ghost will be making his head cornerman debut.

LFA STARTS 2018 MET 1-2-3 PUNCH!

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Legacy strijdgemeenschap (LFA) CEO Ed Soares announced the promotion will kick off 2018 met een 1-2-3 punch in January with a trio of star-studded shows in California, Arizona, and Louisiana.
The main event of LFA 30 will feature the long-awaited clash between southern California kingpins and top LFA welterweights “Hoffelijk” Curtis Millender and Nick “The Phoenix” Barnes. LFA 30 – Millender vs. Barnes takes place Vrijdag, January 12th at Costa Mesa Hall at OC Fair Grounds in Costa Mesa, Californië.
The following week, LFA heads to Arizona with a fierce interim featherweight title fight in the Valley of the Sun. In het main event, former RFA title challenger and BJJ black belt Bobby “The Wolfman” Moffett battles knockout sensation Thanh Le for the LFA interim featherweight title. LFA 31 – Moffett vs. Le takes place Vrijdag, January 19th at the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona.
LFA caps the month of January with a pair of title fights in southern Louisiana. In het main event, former LFA title challenger Brendan “All In” Allen faces top undefeated prospect Anthony “Fluffy” Hernandez for the vacant LFA middleweight title. Mill Ends (13-3) returns home to the building where he fought and won his first seven fights. The Orange County juggernaut is looking to build off a perfect 2017 where he won three fights, including back-to-back LFA headliners. His most recent win came via highlight reel Head Kick KO in the main event of LFA 24. Millender will meet Barnes (12-2) in a long-awaited showdown between two of southern California’s finest. The welterweight stars started their careers in the southern California regional circuit, moved on to Bellator, and will finally meet in the main event of LFA 30. Barnes, like Millender, is coming off an impressive win in an LFA headliner.
The main event of LFA 31 is a fight that casual fans and MMA purists alike are salivating over. It pits a rugged and accomplished BJJ black belt in Moffett (10-2) against one of the most dynamic strikers in all of MMA in Le (7-1) with the LFA interim featherweight title on the line. Op papier, this is a textbook grappler vs. striker bout at its highest form. Echter, both men bring so much more to the table than what their respective martial arts backgrounds represent. Moffett, who trains out of The MMA Lab, has shown a willingness to throw down with anyone, while Le trains with BJJ wunderkind and UFC star Ryan Hall in northern Virginia.
LFA will conclude its busy month of January with a pair of title tilts in southern Louisiana. LFA standout and Louisiana native Allen (8-2) will get a second shot at LFA gold after going five rounds with current UFC star Eryk Anders for the inaugural LFA middleweight title in June. Allen quickly rebounded six weeks later with a submission win in the co-main event of LFA 18. He will face another highly-touted undefeated prospect for the title. This time it comes in the form of the northern California destroyer Hernandez (5-0). The man known as “Fluffy” has finished everyone he has faced inside the first round.

Citlalli Ortiz Wins Welterweight Youth World Championship Title

GUWAHATI, India (November 26, 2017) — Coachella, California-native Citlalli Ortiz closed out her impressive 2017 Women’s Youth World Championships campaign with a split decision victory over Russia’s Nataliya Sychugova to take her first major international title in Guwahati, India.
“Today feels like one of the best days of my life,” stated Ortiz following her win. “Na het gevecht, I doubted myself, but I am extremely happy I pulled out the win and it feels amazing being a world champion.”
Ortiz gold medal closes out a strong showing from the young American delegation. Team USA’s other medal, a bronze, was won yesterday by Isamary Aquino of Universal City, Texas.
“I am extremely proud of my performance at my first international tournament,” said Aquino following her medal ceremony. “It was an honor to be able to represent Team USA and bring home a world championship medal.”
The remaining members of the team included: Aidyl Cardenas (Calexico, Calif.),Diana Estrada (Hillsboro, Oregon), Heaven Garcia (Mt., Calif.), Roma Martinez (Vernederen, Texas), Sharahaya Moreu (Albuquerque, N.M.) en Amy Salinas(Las Cruces, N.M).
This year’s Youth World Championships brought 160 of the world’s top youth female boxers from 36 different countries all vying for one of the 10 world titles up for grabs. Hoofd coach Billy Walsh (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and assistant coaches Koroma (Colorado Springs, Colo.) en Jeff Mays (San Antonio, Texas) guided Team USA throughout these championships. The boxers and staff of USA Boxing will begin their journey back home to the United States morgen.

(November. 7, 2017) – Unbeaten Colombian power-puncher Janer Gonzalez (19-0-1, 15 KO) takes a major step up in competition when he faces unbeaten Russian prospect Radzhab Butaev (7-0, 6 KO; WSOB: 9-1) deze vrijdag, November. 10, at the Masonic at Templelive Cleveland in downtown Cleveland. “I know I have a tough fight ahead of me, but I’m ready for the challenge. Butaev had a tremendous amateur career, but so did I.
