Returns to the ring on “We never stop” show at York Hall October 17th

30 year old former Prizefighter Champion Wadi “Macho Man” Camacho has been the latest boxer to put the resurrection of his career and sign a three year contract with rising manager Steve Goodwin.

Cruiserweight Camacho hit the heights winning Prizefighter in 2013 but has failed to fully fulfil his potential since. Whilst Wadi has featured in thrilling fights and has had fans on the edge of their seats in televised fights he has suffered reversals to Stephen Simmons and Craig Kennedy in his most recent fights.

Wadi then set about finding a new promotional and managerial team “I believe that the Goodwin’s are the next best team in boxing behind Matchroom” said Wadi. I am so excited and buzzing again having Steve and his team behind me.”

Camacho is due back in the ring on October 17th on the undercard of Goodwin’s massive mega title bill “We never stop” at York Hall. “I want titles” said Camacho “After winning Prizefighter I should have gone through the title route of Southern area, English and British. This time with Steve this is the route I wish to go. We have a plan and after speaking to Steve and the team the buzz is really there.”

Goodwin was delighted with the new acquisition “I am delighted to be working with Wadi and I believe that we can get him back to where he belongs on main stream UK TV. We will do it at the right speed and I think in 12 months time  Wadi will be back in the big time. It is going to be exciting working with Wadi. He is a really nice guy with a lovely family and it will give me great pleasure being a part of his success”

Goodwin Boxing have launched another innovative scheme with the launch of the “Goodwin Boxing Season ticket”.

Available at just £199 this season ticket will provide the holder access to a minimum of 12 shows in a 12 month period at the historic York Hal, Bethnal Green.

The season ticket holder will also be able to get discounted tickets for friends and family, discounted upgrades to reserved ringside and VIP packages as well have access once a year backstage to meet the boxers.

The season ticket holder will also be invited to the annual Goodwin Boxing party where they will meet trainers and boxers.

Steve Goodwin said “We have built up a large database of boxing fans and we believe a package like this will not only suit our existing clients but will also encourage a new fan base for the boxing industry. We have already trial marketed this to the business world and the results have been phenomenal so we are now ready to launch it to the public.”

Goodwin continued “These will make an ideal birthday and Christmas present as well as a corporate gift. They can be purchased online, in person at our offices or by cheque. We are always looking for innovative schemes to help to develop boxing and its fan base and believe this concept will be very successful”.

Londoner signs three year contract

Former Commonwealth Welterweight Champion John O’Donnell has decided to put pen to paper and sign a three year deal with rising manager/promoter Steve Goodwin.

29 year old O’Donnell has won 29 from 31 fights including winning both the English and Commonwealth titles and has his eyes initially set on the British title and the winner of Sam Eggington and Glenn Foot.

“I can beat both of them in the same night” said O’Donnell. “My aspirations are world title level but winning the British title will be the first step en-route”, John continued “No one has a bad word to say about Steve and we can all see the massive strides he is making. It was an easy decision to make.”

Goodwin said “We are delighted to secure the signing of someone with the quality of John. I am determined to assist John is his aspirations and we will be watching domestic developments with interest with the ultimate aim of cracking the world stage later in 2015 and 2016.”

Goodwin Boxing launch new boxing tickets website for boxers

Will help Boxers in their quest for ticket sales

Goodwin Boxing are delighted to announce today the launch of a specific boxing ticket website www.iboxingtickets.com.

This will enable boxer’s fans to purchase tickets on line for their fights. A purchaser would go to a particular show click on the boxer’s picture and buy the ticket. The money would then be directly allocated to the boxers account.

Steve Goodwin said “We discussed the issue of a boxers ticket sales at length with our team Kevin (Campion) Josh (Goodwin) and Olivia (Goodwin).  Kevin designed the idea and we believe it will help every one of our boxers. When boxers are selling tickets sometimes they have to drive around and deliver them. This will stop this as the boxer can direct them to the site. We accept that there are fees involved to cover the credit card processing but there is nothing we can do about that but these fees are competitive in comparison with any other on line booking system.”

All of the Goodwin Boxing shows in March will be covered on this website and the site will also be developed to incorporate when Goodwin boxers fight on other promoters shows as well.

“We believe this site could be a major force in boxing ticket sales for years to come” said Goodwin “However initially it is about generating support for our boxers.”
