ORENBURG CITY, Rusland (Maj 28, 2016) – Last night’s M-1 Challenge 66 event had its share of upsets, leading with a main event split decision victory by Rashid Yusopov over defending M-1 Challenge light heavyweight champion Viktor Nemkov, in Orenburg City, Rusland.
Tidligere M-1 Challenge lys sværvægter mester Stephan “T-800” Puetz took a unanimous 3-round decision from Andrey Seledtsov i co-feature.
Russian challenger Yusopov (7-2-0, M-1: 4-1-0) won a hard fought 5-round split decision over defending champion Nemkov (23-6-0, M-1: 14-5-0), fighting out of Russia by way of Kazakhstan, who was making his initial title defense.
Nemkov had captured the coveted M-1 Challenge light heavyweight title this past December, taking a 5-round decision from defending champion Puetz, who had won a 5-round split decision April, 2014 against Nemkov for the title. Nemkov is a two-time M-1 Challenge light heavyweight champion having defeated Vasily Babich (WSUB3 – arm-lock) for the vacant title that he then lost in his first title defense to Puetz.
The 23-year-old Yusupov was riding a 4-fight win streak going into his fight with Nemkov. A former Russian, European and World Amateur MMA champion, Yusupov is known as a dangerous striker whose signature moves are powerful kicks.
Puetz vs. Seledtsov was billed as “Terminator” vs. “Spetsnev” and it lived up to its name as Puetz won a unanimous 3-round decision. Puetz, Tyskland, had successfully defended his M-1 Challenge light heavyweight title twice, after beating Nemkov in their original championship match, mod Luis Fernando Miranda (SUB2 – choker) August 15, 2014 påM-1 Challenge 50, og Valery Myasnikov (KO/TKO2 – punches) December 17, 2014 påM-1 Challenge 54. Korobkov (9-0-1, M-1: 0-0-1) is coming off of a hard-fought draw with Rodrigo Magalhaes(se ovenstående billede) last December at M-1 Challenge 63, in which he had his 9-fight win streak snapped that started with his pro debut.
Nagibin has reeled-off seven consecutive wins since he lost his pro debut. På M-1 Challenge 64 dette tidligere februar, he won a decision over Andrey Lezhnev. Nagibin is known for his powerful kicks (see picture below) and back-fists.

PETERSBURG, Rusland (Januar 27, 2016) – M-1 Global præsident Vadim Finklechtein has announced contract extensions for M-1 featherweight championJohn “Dette er den” Buchinger, former M-1 Challenge light heavyweight titlist Stephan “T-800” Puetz and top American featherweight contender Lee “Amerikanske Bulldog” Morrison.
“We’ve prolonged the contract with M-1 Global veteran fighters Buchinger, Puetz and Morrison,” Finkelchtein said. “We constantly work on our roster to have the best possible fighters.”
Buchinger (30-4-0, M-1: 5-0-0), the 29-year-old from Slovakia, captured the vacant M-1 Challenge featherweight title in 2014, via a fourth-round knockout of Tural Raginov på M-1 Challenge 52. In his last fight this past October, Buchinger successfully defended his title with a unanimous decision over current M-1 Challenge lightweight champion Mansour “Tarzan” Barnaoui på M-1 Challenge 62.

Russisk ridder krigere Dmitry Kovrizhin (4-0-0) og Evgeniy Bedenko (7-1-0) kamp på den foreløbige kort for den første M-1 Challenge Medieval titel, December 4 ved Sport og Concert Complex i St. Petersburg, Rusland.
Stigende MMA stjerne Stephan “T-800” Puetz (13-1-0, 5 KO / TKO, 4 SUB) forsvarer sin M-1 Challenge lys sværvægter krone mod tidligere mester Viktor Nemkov (22-5-0, 4 KO / TKO, 9 SUB)., Også fremhævede på de vigtigste kort er en anden titel kamp som M-1 Challenge mellemvægt mester Ramadan Emeev (12-3-0, 2 KO / TKO, 6 SUB) ansigter amerikansk udfordrer Luigi “Den italienske Tank” Fioravanti (26-13-0, 10 KO / TKO, 2 SUB).
Kovrizhin, repræsenterer Bern Fight Club i Moskva, var medlem af den 2014 og 2015 World Champion Team. He stopped Roman Zuevtidligt i hans M-1 Challenge 60 kamp.
