BACK-TO-BACK EVENTS SET TO AIR THIS FREDAG, APRIL 6 BEGINNING AT 9 P.m. PT ON PARAMOUNT NETWORK

LOS ANGELES – Bellator has announced completed cards for both Bellator 196 och Bellator Kickboxning 9, which take place this Fredag, April 6 at BOK Hall in Budapest, Hungary and air on Paramount Network at 9 p.m. OCH/8 p.m. CT.

 

The headliner for Bellator 196 will see former world champion Benson Henderson (24-8) in a lightweight matchup against Roger Huerta (24-9-1, 1 NC), who returns to Bellator for the first time since 2010. On the kickboxing side of things, Raymond Daniels (33-3) defends his welterweight crown against Djibril Ehouo (38-9-2) in the headliner of Bellator Kickboxning 9.

Bellator 196: Henderson vs. Huerta will be broadcast Fredag, April 6 free on Paramount Network at 9 p.m. OCH/8 p.m. CT. Bellator Kickboxning 9 will air immediately following at 11 p.m. OCH/10 p.m. CT. Tickets for the event are on sale now and are available at www.Bellator.hu.

The former UFC and WEC champ owns a win over a Patricio “Pitbull” inside the Bellator cage and is looking to make a statement on his way back to title contention when he meets Roger Huerta on April 6 in Budapest, Ungern. Fighting out of Austin, Texas, the 34-year-old Los Angeles native returns to Bellator for the first time since facing Eddie Alvarez at Bellator 33. The first MMA fighter to ever appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated, Huerta’s entertaining fight style saw him memorably defeat Clay Guida and Leonard Garcia. Nu, fresh off of two consecutive victories, “El Matador” is not shying away from elite competition for his first fight of 2018.

LOS ANGELES – Due to an undisclosed injury, James Gallagher’s highly anticipated return to the Bellator cage will be delayed.

ÄVEN, BELLATOR SET FOR HISTORIC ROME DEBUT JULI 7, 2018

FLORENCE, Italien – A sold out crowd was on hand for Bellator’s return to the Nelson Mandela Forum in Florence, Italy to cheer on their national hero, Alessio Sakara, in his bid for the middleweight title at Bellator 190. Emellertid, reigning champion Rafael Carvalho emerged victorious in his third defense of the belt with yet another exciting performance. Med segern, Carvalho is now tied with Alexander Shlemenko for most title defenses in promotional history.

 

Dessutom, Bellator has announced plans for a summer return to Italy in the country’s capital city of Rome on Juli 7 with an event that will air on the soon-to-launch Paramount Network. The date marks the company’s first trip to Rome, after hosting multiple events in both Torino and Florence.

 

“After the success of our events in Torino and Florence, Italy over the last two years, we knew that it was time to do a show in Rome, a city rooted deep in combat sports history,” Bellator President Scott Coker said. “The Italian fans have shown their passion for the sport and we look forward to bringing a huge card to Rome next year on Juli 7."

ITALIAN ALESSIO SAKARA CHALLENGES RAFAEL CARVALHO FOR MIDDLEWEIGHT WORLD TITLE AT Bellator 190

LOS ANGELES – Bellator returns to Florence, Italy on Lördag, December 9, when both Bellator MMA and Bellator Kickboxing, along with Oktagon, emanate from the Nelson Mandela Forum for another huge evening of combat sports action.

 

Bellator 190 will air free on SPIKE at 8 p.m. OCH/7 p.m. CT and will be immediately followed by Bellator Kickboxning 8. Tickets for the event start at just €30 and are available at Bellator.com.

 

Bellator 190 will be headlined by current middleweight champ Rafael Carvalho (14-1), who will defend his title against Italy’s popular knockout artist, Alessio “Legionarius” Sakara (19-11, 2 NC). LIGHTWEIGHT MATCHUP PITTING UNDEFEATED ADAM PICCOLOTTI AGAINST GOITI YAMAUCHI ALSO ADDED TO MAIN CARD

LOS ANGELES – An exciting welterweight contest between British slugger Paul Daley (39-15-2) and California’s Lorenz Larkin (18-6, 1 NC), as well as a compelling lightweight bout pitting Adam Piccolot (9-0) mot Yamauchi upp (21-3) have been added to Bellator 183: Henderson vs. Pitbull på lördag, September 23 på SAP Center i San Jose, Calif.

Coming off a win against Valeriu Mircea at Bellator 168, the 24-year-old Yamauchi, who trains out of Anjo, Japan, will continue his run in the lightweight division after making the jump to 155-pounds in 2016. In his career, the Yamauchi has an incredible 17 submission victories among his 21 career victories and holds wins against Ryan Couture, Isao Kobayashi and Mike Richman.
