QUINCY, Маса. (Ноември 19, 2018) – A major change has been made to this Wednesday night’s (Ноември. 21) “Championship Boxing at The Armory” картичка, presented by Granite Chin Promotions (GCP) on Thanksgiving Eve, at the National Guard Armory (70 Victory Road) in Dorchester, Масачусетс.
The originally scheduled headliner, three-time world title challenger Aleksandra Magziak Lopes (18-4-3, 1 КО), withdrew when she accepted a world title shot Dec. 8 во Карсон, Калифорнија, against undisputed World welterweight champion Cecelia “Првата дама” Braekhus (34-0, 9 КО) in the main event on HBO.
Many of New England’s most talented and popular boxers will still be in action this Wednesday evening. GCP co-promoter Chris Traietti (26-4, 21 КО), fighting out of Quincy (М-р), will defend his New England cruiserweight title against challenger Nick Lavin (5-9, 4 КО), of Shelton (КТ), in the new eight-round main event.
The 33-year-old Traietti, an Iraq War veteran and college graduate, defeated the heavy-handed Lavin by way of an eight-round unanimous decision August 5, 2017 for the N.E. наслов.
“As disheartening as it was to lose Aleks on this show,” Traietti said, “we are thrilled she’s getting a career defining opportunity on HBO. She’s worked hard for the opportunity and we wish her the best of luck December 8th.

QUINCY, Маса. (Август 6, 2017) – Former New England welterweight champion Дерек “The Surgeon” Silveira defeated former world title challenger Мајкл “Ладнокрвно” Кларк last night (Саб, Август. 5) во “Fight Night at the Bay” Главниот настан, presented by Granite Chin Promotions, at Marina Bay Sportplex in Quincy, Масачусетс.
Silveira (12-1, 6 КО), of Salem MA) used his height and length advantage to out-box the much more experienced Clark (44-16-1, 18 КО). Due to what appeared to be a broken right hand, Clark was unable to continue after six rounds.

“I want to thank Michael Clark,” Silveria commented. “My buddy Martin passed away and this fight was for him. We’re back and can go as long as needed because I’m in better shape. I’m a smart fighter and I can counter guys. I hope to be back fighting Септември 30in Boston.”

Iraq War veteran and Quincy’s favorite son, Chris Traietti (24-4, 19 КО), who is also co-promoter of “Fight Night at the Bay”, pounded Nick Lavin (5-6, 4 КО) from the opening bell to capture the vacant New England Cruiserweight Championship by way of a decisive eight-round unanimous decision. Traietti teed-off on the over-matched Lavin for most of the fight, but his tough Connecticut opponent lasted to the very end.

Undefeated Irish junior middleweight Paddy Irwin (4-0, 3 КО), fighting at home in Quincy, methodically broke-down Demetrius Thomas (0-5), dropping him with a right hand in the second round, and floored him with a flurry of punches en route to a third-round stoppage only moments later by referee Ryan.
