WBO #3 and IBF #7 Bantamweight Nikolai Potapov Continues Campaign to Meet and Defeat ‘The Monster’ by Taking on Tanzania’s Oscar Richard

30-year-old Potapov has bounced back nicely from his highly controversial “loss” to fellow contender Josh Greer by scoring two big victories, including his last outing, a shutout unanimous decision over Ukraine’s then 16-2 Oleksandr Hryshchuk in December 2020 во Москва. In his 11-year career, Potapov has already held the WBA Asia and WBO NABO Bantamweight Championships.


“I look forward to returning to the ring and putting on an exciting performance for my fans in Moscow and worldwide,” said Potapov, who has steadily moved back into contention for another big fight, whether a rematch against Greer or a challenge of one of the division’s champions.

SHENZHEN, Кина (Август 4, 2019) – Canadian mixed-martial arts fighter Chris Kelades became the M-1 Challenge Interim flyweight champion by taking a decision from Alexander Pletenko last night at WKG and M-1 Challenge 103 in Shenzhen, Кина.

M-1 Challenge “regular” flyweight championAlexander Doskalchuk was supposed to defend his title atМ-1 предизвик 103 against Kelades, Меѓутоа, the champ suffered an injury that forced Doskalchuk to withdraw.

Pletenko versus Kelades was a rematch of a fight back in June, 2018, in which Pletenko won a decision atМ-1 предизвик 93.  Pletenko, Меѓутоа, came in overweight and he was ineligible to win the title.

This true International MMA event included 20 professional fighters from 10 different countries: Русија, Кина, САД, Бразил, Украина, Канада, Азербејџан, Шведска, Georgia and Germany.

The judges were busy all night as eight of the 10 fights went the complete distance.

ЛОС АНЏЕЛЕС — Bellator is proud to announce that Russian MMA great Fedor Emelianenko (38-6, 1 Соединетите Американски Држави) has signed an exclusive multi-fight contract extension to finish his career inside the Bellator cage.
