EDMONTON, Canada (April 25, 2018) – Super Channel heeft de oprichting aangekondigd van een nieuwe live-boksserie, SUPERBOX LIVE, debuteert zaterdag, Mei 19, in samenwerking met KO Night Boxing LLC, van Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Kansas,

 

 

 

International Boxing Association (IBA) Amerikaans vlieggewichtkampioen Nico Hernandez (4-0, 3 KO) zal op zich te nemen Sylvester Kanalas (14-7, 9 KO) voor het vacante IBA Wereldkampioenschap vlieggewicht in het hoofdevenement van 12 ronden.

 

 

 

De uit Wichita afkomstige Hernandez veroverde een bronzen medaille op de 2016 Olympische Spelen. Twee jaar geleden, Kanalas werd een van de jongste (17) wereldkampioen ooit, toen hij zijn mede-Hongaarse bokser versloeg, Jozsef Ajtai, voor de vacante Wereldboksfederatie (WBF) Wereldkampioenschap supervlieggewicht.

 

 

De kaart zal ook twee zwaargewicht confrontaties bevatten als opkomende Canadese ster Oleksandr Teslenko (12-0, 10 KO) wordt geconfronteerd met een nader te bepalen tegenstander tijdens de televisie-uitzending, terwijl het Russische zwaargewicht vooruitzicht is Andrej Afonin (5-0, 2 KO) ontmoet ervaren Cubaanse strijder Pedro “De Reguilete” Rodriguez (23-4, 19 KO).

Neon Star Sports & Entertainment Launches New Promotional Company Knockout Night Boxing

LAS VEGAS (Februari 13, 2017) – Neon Star Sports & Vermaak (NSSE) Inc. has announced the formation of its promotional company, Knockout Night Boxing LLC. The company will be responsible for promoting and co-promoting “Knockout Night Boxing,” a series that airs on CBS Sports Network across North America. Additional broadcast partners will also be announced in the coming weeks.
“Knockout Night Boxing LLC is a fight-friendly promotion that provides a platform for athletes to showcase their skills while building their own brand,” said Knockout Night Boxing president/promoter John Andersen.
“Our ‘Knockout Night at the D’ series on CBS Sports Network last year was a huge hit, and so we are excited to expand across the United States and Mexico with our partner Pepe Gomez,” added Neon Star Sports & Entertainment CEO Mike Garrow. “Momenteel, the ‘Knockout Night Boxing’ series has 20 television dates scheduled for 2017. We are looking forward to delivering fight fans non-stop, action-packed excitement.”
Whit Haydon will serve as talent relations recruiter and Marvin Romero is the matchmaker. The rotating television team consists of Hall-of-Famer announcers Jim “J.R.” Roos en Al Bernstein, as well as veterans Sean Wheelock en Joey Varner. The primary ring announcer is Justin Roberts, who was the WWE ring announcer for 14 jaar.

Promoter Pepe Gomez & Neon Star Media bring “Cancun Boksen” to CBS Sports Network

ANNULEREN, Mexico / LAS VEGAS (Juni 2, 2016) — Famed promoter Pepe Gomez has partnered with Neon Star Media to bring its monthly “Cancun Boksen” series to CBS Sports Network.
The first event, “Knockout’s On Fire,” zal plaatsvinden deze zaterdag nacht (Juni 4) from Grand Oasis Cancun the Hotel Complex in Cancun, Mexico. Cancun`s ONLY Ultimate All-Inclusive Entertainment Resort will play host to all events in the series.

The first event will feature Mexico’s 3-time world super flyweight champion Cristian “El Diamante” Mijares (53-8-2, 26 KO) who takes on his fellow countryman, ongeslagen Andres “Jaguarito” Gutierrez, in the 12-round main event for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Featherweight Championship.

Former WBA female bantamweight champion Irma “Torbellino” Garcia (13-1-, 2 KO) voldoet aan Miriam “La Patrona” Avila (5-6, 2 KO) in een wedstrijd van 10 ronden.
