Marie-Eve Dicaire learned invaluable lesson from Claressa Shields fight

MONT-REAL (Març 31, 2021) – Popular Canadian boxerMarie-Eve Dicaire learned an invaluable albeit disappointing lesson a her decision-loss to now-undisputed world super welterweight championClaressa Escuts (11-0, 2 KOs) on the March 3rd “SUPERWOMEN” pay-per-view event.

I needed to get the work done to enjoy true vacations. I know I will be in the ring again soon.”

Losses ultimately lead to changes but Dicaire’s goal of becoming undisputed world champion remains the same. What’s changing, encara que, is her style, at least to some degree, especially considering she has zero knockouts during her pro career.

I have never experienced so much support from fans during my entire career. It is like everybody is aware I have everything it takes to become champion of the world again and they’re with me during this new journey.”

El prospecte de pes welter invicte, Custio Clayton, encapçalarà els GYM's Octubre. 20º espectacle a Mont-real

MONT-REAL (Setembre 23, 2016) –– La “GIMNÀS 2016-2017 SÈRIE DE BOIXA”, 1 “Presentació del Casino de Montreal amb la col·laboració de Videotron” començarà oficialment Octubre 20 i aquesta targeta de boxa professional ha estat anunciada avui pel Groupe Yvon Michel (GIMNÀS) president

En l'esdeveniment estel·lar a 10 assalts, 2012 Olímpic canadenc Custio Clayton (9-0, 7 KOs) s'enfrontarà al repte més gran de la seva jove carrera en el seu tenaç oponent mexicà, Ramsès “El faraó” Àgaton (17-4-3, 9 KOs).
Clayton, amb seu a Mont-real des del seu debut professional, també va titular el “GIMNASIO-CASINO” sèrie la temporada passada. En tres combats de sèrie celebrats al Cabaret du Casino a 2016, es va aturar el francès Salmó Stanislas (25-3-2), Americà Héctor Muñoz (23-17-1) i mexicana Comtat d'Eversy Perea (23-6-1).
“Treballo molt cada setmana i sempre em sento millor quan entreno,” va dir Clayton. “Vaig tenir un camp d'entrenament sòlid a Mont-real i uns dies a Ottawa amb el meu entrenador. Estaré preparat!”
Agaton és ràpid, zurd hàbil i agressiu que va perdre un dur, decisió majoritària a la Federació Nord-americana de Boxa (NABF) campió de pes welter, Konstantin Ponomarev (28-0), de Rússia, el novembre passat a Las Vegas. Agaton té victòries notables Ronald Montes (16-0), Alejandro Barrera (25-1) i Álvaro Robles (17-2-2).
Carismàtic Marie-Eve Dicaire (4-0, 0 KOs), de St-Eustache, pujarà al ring en una lluita de 6 rondes només per segona vegada a la seva carrera contra Karla Zamora (3-2-0, 1 KO), de Mèxic, en la baralla co-estel·lar.
Dicaire lluitarà per quarta vegada al Cabaret du Casino després de derrotar a Manitoba. Cristina Berry (0-2-0), Mexicà Marta Patricia Lara (9-4-0) i americà Ashleigh Curry (7-9-4) en les seves aparicions anteriors en les seves baralles anteriors allà

Un nord-americà d'origen romanès que va ser descobert per un antic campió del món Lucian Bute, Bredicean va lluitar dues vegades al Casino la temporada passada, guanyant decisions impressionants sobre el mexicà Jaudiel Zepeda (12-14-1) i quebequesa François Miville (7-4).
Patrice Volny (2-0, 1 KOs), de Mont-real, lluitarà per tercera vegada al Cabaret del Casino de Mont-real. Espectacular en les seves dues aparicions anteriors allà, on va fer un brutal KOMichel Tsalla (1-11-2) i dominat Charles Hauver (per al debut), intercanviarà cops aquesta vegada amb el cubà pro-debut Oscar Massa Cando, que n'és un veterà 250 baralles amateurs i ara viu a Lévis, Quebec.
Lleuger Dwayne Durel, del proper Laval (4-0-0, 2 KOs), és un antic kickboxer, també format pels germans Grant, que també estarà a la carta davant un rival per determinar.
Alexandre Choko contra el dopatge
En una atracció especial, el de Montreal Alexandre Choko debutarà professionalment als anys 42. Un activista en la lluita antidopatge de la boxa, vol conscienciar sobre els perills dels productes dopants lluitant ell mateix al ring.
La identitat del seu rival es donarà a conèixer la setmana vinent.

QUEBEC CITY (Juliol 30, 2016) – Llum campió mundial de pes pesat Adonis “Superhome” Stevenson (28-1, 23 KOs) va oferir una victòria per nocaut de rodet més destacat Thomas “Top Dogg” Williams Jr. (20-2, 14 KOs) a la quarta ronda d'un emocionant enfrontament de l'esdeveniment principal Lliga de Campions de Boxa a Espiga Divendres nit des del Centre Videotron de la ciutat de Quebec, Canadà.
“Va ser un tiroteig,” va dir Stevenson. “Em va posar pressió, així que vaig decidir pressionar-lo també. Va ser una baralla amb dos nois que podien colpejar i va ser espectacular. Era l'aniversari de la meva filla i li vaig fer un gran regal.”
El defensor defensor Stevenson, lluitant a la seva ciutat natal, va posar a Williams a la primera ronda amb una mà esquerra recta. Williams es va poder recuperar i va començar a disparar a la segona ronda. L'acció televisiva addicional va veure l'augment de competidors de pes mitjàImmanuel Aleem (16-0-1, 9 KOs) i Demond Nicholson (17-1-1, 16 KOs) lluitar per un empat majoritari en el seu combat de vuit rondes.
Cap dels dos lluitadors va poder controlar la lluita amb Nicholson intentant utilitzar la seva longitud i jab mentre Aleem intentava reduir la distància i atacar amb cops curts.. Nicholson semblava tenir l'atac més efectiu a les primeres rondes, mentre que Aleem va començar a tenir més èxit a mesura que la lluita va passar a l'acció de peu a peu a la segona meitat de la lluita..
Els jutges’ Les puntuacions reflectien la naturalesa propera de la lluita tal com ho va fer un jutge 77-74 per Aleem mentre els altres dos jutges ho tenien a 76-76 dibuixar.
El teloner televisat va veure Eleider “Tempesta” Alvarez (20-0, 10 KOs) mantenir intacte el seu rècord perfecte amb una victòria per decisió unànime sobre el de Nova Zelanda Robert Berridge (27-5, 21 KOs) en un afer de pes lleuger de 10 rondes.
“Estic content amb la victòria, però m'hauria agradat un nocaut! Era dur, però no em va fer mal gens i vaig pensar que el vaig fer mal. Estic preparat per al meu proper repte, que tant de bo sigui una lluita pel títol mundial.”
El millor aspirant al títol de Stevenson, Álvarez va establir el seu jab des del principi mentre atacava el cos de Berridge amb ganxos dret. Álvarez va continuar controlant la lluita des de la distància, ja que Berridge va tardar a començar a augmentar la seva producció abans de començar a pressionar a la cinquena ronda..
El zurt Berridge va poder aterrar de tant en tant a Álvarez amb una mà esquerra de bucle, però mai va posar en perill el lluitador invicte. Álvarez va començar a tenir més èxit variant el seu atac amb uppercuts dret i ganxos que finalment van deixar l'ull dret de Berridge inflat i contusionat..
Álvarez es va endur la decisió per uns quants 99-90 i 98-92 dues vegades.

MONT-REAL (Juliol 23, 2016) – Undefeated No. 1 contendent de pes semipesado Eleider “Tempesta” Alvarez (19-0, 10 KOs) has found a solid boxer to face him on the Juliol 29 targeta, featuring the WBC and lineal world light heavyweight title fight between defending champion Adonis “Superhome” Stevenson (27-1, 22 KOs) i el retador Thomas Williams Jr. (20-1, 14 KOs), al Centre Videotron.
