All bouts are scheduled for six rounds except Moran-Rodriguez, which is a four round contest.

Tampa, Florida – (Agost 20, 2018) –In a surprising about-face, Middleweight Connor Coyle has voluntarily relinquished his NBA Intercontinental Middleweight Title and William Silva has voluntarily relinquished his NBA Lightweight World Title.

 

 

 

“We were notified by Coyle’s and Silva’s promoter Fire Fist Boxing Promotions that they have chosen to go a different direction. The Promoter notified the NBA via email in early July. Fire Fist was made aware of champion obligations regarding defense of the belt, resulting in Fire Fist Promotions deciding to voluntarily vacate the titles,” said Damon Gonzales, President of the NBA.

 

 

 

Connor Coyle (8-0, 3 Nocauts) from Derry, Ireland won the NBA Intercontinental Middleweight Title against Danny Pastrana on June 16, 2018.

 

 

 

Guillem Silva (25-2, 15 Nocauts) from Plant City, Florida won the NBA Lightweight World Title on March 3, 2018 against Rogelio Casarez.

SANT ANTONI, TX (Agost 18, 2018) – Undefeated NABF Lightweight champion, Selina “reina asteca” Barris (4-0, 2 KOs), has an opponent for her Corpus Christi Showdown on September 22, 2018. Barris s'enfrontarà Patricia Juarez (4-0), sister of WBC Bantamweight champion, Mariana “Barbie” Juárez (50-9-4, 13 KOs).

 

 

 

On the line will be Selina’s NABF Lightweight title. The 10-round bout will take place at Whataburger Field, home to the Corpus Christi Hooks, the double-A affiliate of the Houston Astros.

 

 

 

“Patricia Juarez asked to fight me, and I feel that part of being a champion is accepting fights with worthy opponents,” said Selina Barrios, who hails from San Antonio, TX. “She is an undefeated fighter with the same record as me, and her sister is a future Hall of Famer. I look forward to making a title defense against a worthy challenger like Patricia Juarez.”

Teofimo Lopez shines with 6th round stoppage over William Silva in ESPN co-feature

NOVA YORK (Juliol 16, 2018)–Teofimo Lopez shined in a major step up bout as he dominated William Silva by scoring a 6th round stoppage in their lightweight bout that was the co-feature on ESPN.

The bout took place on Saturday night at the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans.

A la primera ronda, Lopez dumped Silva with a left hook. Silva was bleeding from the nose, En la cinquena ronda, Lopez landed several hard hooks to the bloodied Silva, and then dumped Silva to the canvas in the corner.

Lopez came out in round six by landing three left hooks and a right that dropped Silva and the bout was called at 15 segon.

Silva who came in with a record of 25-1, and is only loss was to Felix Verdejo on HBO, had never been knocked down before the fighter known as “Gros” dropped him three times.

Lopez is now 10-0 amb 8 nocauts. Silva is 25-2.

“I know everything is set up by the jab,” va dir López. “The jab is the most important punch. I was playing with his mind. I was setting him up by letting him get comfortable and then to land the big shot. I hurt my hands, early in the fight but you prepare yourself for the worst possible. Hamazaryan looks to make a big splash, and become a big star in The United States.

JOSH HARVEY TO MAKE LONG-AWAITED RETURN TO MMA CAGE AT NEF 35 A BANGOR

Bangor, Maine (Juliol 16, 2018) - Lluites de Nova Anglaterra (NEF) celebrarà el seu proper esdeveniment d'arts marcials mixtes, “NEF 35: Temporada dolenta,” a Setembre 8 al Cross Insurance Center de Bangor. El dia d'avui, the fight promotion announced the addition of a professional lightweight bout to the fight card. Josh “Enganxa't” Harvey (4-0) will return to the cage to take on Jay Ellis (15-79) amb un pes de baralla de 155 lliures-.

The fight with Ellis will take place just over 16 months since the last time Harvey did battle in the NEF cage. The former amateur lightweight champion is undefeated thus far in his professional career. Harvey has entered the cage four times in the pro ranks and has finished all four opponents in the first round with two knockouts and two submissions to his credit. He is a member of Young’s MMA based in Bangor, i “NEF 35” will be Harvey’s first opportunity to fight in front of his hometown fans, family and friends since “NEF Presenta Dana White: Mirant’ per una lluita” which took place at the Cross Insurance Center in August 2016.

“I’m excited to display the improvements I made since my last fight,” Harvey said. “Thankful for any opponent willing to hook on, will be one for the highlight reel for sure!"

El oponent de Harvey, Jay Ellis, is a longtime veteran of the sport based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he trains with Team Knockout. Ellis regularly travels to New England to compete and has gained a cult following throughout the region. Last summer, he shocked Bangor fight fans by taking the fight to Ryan Sanders (16-9) and nearly upsetting the hometown favorite with a submission attempt before Sanders was able to score a come-from-behind victory.

“I’m so happy to be coming back to Maine to put on another great performance,” stated Ellis when reached for comment. “This time my hand will be raised high as the victorious one.”
