Miami, OK (Maj 21, 2016) - Promotor Tony Holden søger kloden for udsigterne han mener kan udvikle sig til verdensmestre.
Aktuelt, Holden selskab Holden Productions fremmer fem lokale boksere kendt som ”Fire State Franchise”, og de rutinemæssigt sælger ud af Buffalo Run Casino i Miami, OK. Medlemmerne af ”Fire State Franchise” er ubesejrede sværvægtere Trey Lippe-Morrison og hans skridt bror Kenzie Witt sammen med ubesejrede junior mellemvægt Jarrett Rouse og Cook-Brothers Dillon og Jesse.
Holden fremmes også en række store navn krigere i fortiden herunder den tidligere sværvægter mester Tommy Morrison, boksning legender Naseem Hamed og Johnny Tapia, top contender Joe Mesi og verden titel udfordrere Allen Green og Zahir Raheem.

NEW YORK (April 6, 2016) - SHOWTIME Sports® presents its latest installment of a year-long salute commemorating 30 years of SHOWTIME Championship Boxing® with “Fights of the Year” in April on SHO EXTREME®.

 

The fourth round of a 12-month tribute will be highlighted by four of the most rousing and unforgettable fights in boxing history:

  • Jorge Castro vs. John David Jackson I - 1994 Ring Magazine Fight of the Year (Omgang 9 earned Round of the Year honors)
  • Paulie Ayala vs. Johnny Tapia Jeg - 1999 Ring Magazine Fight of the Year (Ayala earned Fighter of the Year honors)
  • Diego Corrales vs. Jose Luis Castillo I - 2005 Consensus Fight of the Year (Omgang 10 earned Round of the Year honors)
  • Lucas Matthysse vs. John Molina Jr. - 2014 Boxing Writers Association of America Fight of the Year.

 

The four celebrated battles will air on “Throwback Thursdays” all month at 10 p.m. OG/PT on SHO EXTREME and are available on SHOWTIME ON DEMAND®, SHOWTIME ANYTIME® and via the network’s online streaming service. Each fight will be wrapped with brief context and commentary from SHOWTIME Sports ring announcer and International Boxing Hall of Fame inductee Jimmy Lennon Jr.

 

Below is the schedule of SHOWTIME EXTREME premieres for the month of April:

Castro-Jackson I (December. 10, 1994, Castro KO 9) –Castro, thoroughly battered, bloodied and losing by a wide margin, rallies from the absolute brink of defeat to score three knockdowns in the ninth round to overcome Jackson in one of the most dramatic turnarounds ever.

 

Ayala-Tapia I (Juni 26, 1999, Ayala W 12) – In some of the fiercest two-way action in the history of Las Vegas boxing, southpaw Ayala hands Tapia his first professional loss in 49 fights and captures the WBA bantamweight title by the scores of 115-114 og 116-113 to gange. Game On: As the boxers were being announced, Tapia walked across the ring and shoved Ayala causing a momentary skirmish.

 

Diego Corrales-Jose Luis Castillo I (Maj 7, 2005, Corrales TKO 10) — After nine intense, back-and-forth rounds, Corrales accomplishes the unthinkable, miraculously regrouping from to knockdowns in the 10th to stop Castillo in the same round (2:06) and etch his spot in boxing lore. After managing to beat the count (and lose a point for excessive spitting out of the mouthpiece), Corrales got Castillo on the ropes and connected with a huge right hand. Lucas Matthysse-John Molina Jr. (April 26, 2014, Matthysse KO 11) — Abloody slugfest, in which both fighters were knocked down multiple times,became an instant classic. The tremendous brawl was as brutal as it was exciting and more compelling to witness than anyone could have imagined.

Trey Lippe-Morrison teams up with legendary Jesse Reid!

Oklahoma City, OK (April 16, 2015) – Undefeated heavyweight sensation Trey Lippe-Morrison is now being trained by Hall of Famer Jesse Reid.

 

One of the great trainers in boxing history, Reid is a member of the World Boxing Hall of Fame. Samlet, Reid’s trained more than 20 world champions including Johnny Tapia, Hector Camacho, Orlando Canizales, Bruce Curry, Roger Mayweather, Reggie Johnson and Paul Spadafora amongst others. With more than 40 years of experience in developing top fighters, Reid’s globally recognized as one of the best in the business.

 

“This is a big change from Oklahoma but one I needed,"Sagde Lippe-Morrison, who started camp a few days ago. “I’m extremely grateful that Jesse is training me. He’s a legend and we clicked immediately. There’s a lot of talent here and I’ll have the chance to spar with some very good fighters. Training and sparring with top fighters will help show me where I’m truly at.”

 

A dynamic puncher who draws comparisons to his legendary father Tommy Morrison, Lippe-Morrison er 7-0 with all of his victories coming by knockout. I sin seneste kamp, Lippe-Morrison flattened veteran Richard Dawson in two minutes and one second. Between his heavy hands, potential and familiar surname, the 25-year-old Lippe-Morrison is considered one of the top American heavyweight prospects. Even with the relocation for training camp, Lippe-Morrison remains a member of the popular “Four State Franchise” which fights in front of sellout crowds at the Buffalo Run Casino.

 

“Trey has exceptional hand speed and footwork for a heavyweight and he’s very tough,” said Reid. “He’s got a great attitude and is eager to learn. We’re working on the little things and putting together pieces of the puzzle to make him a better all around fighter. There’s definitely a lot of potential in Trey and I look forward to unleashing it.”

 

Lippe-Morrison’s promoter is equally as excited about his prized pupil learning from one of the greats.

 

“I’m happy to see Trey get into a gym with one of the all-time greats,” said Tony Holden of Holden Productions. “The Powerhouse Gym is loaded with heavyweights and Trey’s always needed great sparring. I’d like to personally thank Team Rouse for doing a great job of training Trey and getting him where he is now. Desværre, Oklahoma didn’t have enough sparring for Trey but the move to California will provide him with the opportunity to work with other great talent.”

 

Lippe-Morrison’s next bout is expected to take place in May and official particulars will be announced at 2 pm på Torsdag, April 23 during a press conference at the Buffalo Run Casino.
