Rakhmanov remplace Malik Hawkins qui a été contraint de se retirer pour des raisons médicales



NEW YORK - Février 24, 2020 - L'espoir montant invaincu Keith «The Bounty» Hunter affrontera le talentueux Sanjarbek «War» Rakhmanov dans un match revanche dans les 10 rounds super légers ShoBox: La Nouvelle Génération Main event vendredi, Février 28 en direct sur Showtime (10:45 p.m. ET/PT) du Sam’s Town Casino à Las Vegas. Rakhmanov intervient pour remplacer l'opposant initialement prévu Malik Hawkins qui a été contraint de se retirer pour des raisons médicales.



Chasseur (11-0, 7 KOs) et Rakhmanov (12-2-1, 6 KOs) première rencontre en février 5, 2019, dans un concours de poids welter de huit rounds qui a abouti à une victoire par décision restreinte pour Hunter. Bien que Hunter ait contrôlé l'action dans les premiers tours et a marqué un renversement dans le deuxième, Rakhmanov s'est rétabli et a décroché de gros coups dans les derniers rounds. Les tableaux de bord lus 77-74, 76-75 et 75-76.



Rakhmanov, qui s'est battu pour un match nul avec Alfonso Olvera sur ShoBox in May of 2016, fera sa deuxième apparition dans la série de développement des perspectives et son neuvième départ à Sam’s Town Live. Dans sa dernière performance en septembre 20, 2019, il a cassé Andre Byrd, infliger une punition au corps pendant quatre tours consécutifs, conduisant Byrd à prendre un genou et à mettre fin au combat. Il s'entraîne actuellement avec Chris Ben-Tchavtchavadze au Mayweather Boxing Club.



Rakhmanov, 30 ans, qui est né à Tachkent, la capitale de l'Ouzbékistan, était un grand amateur avec plus de 140 bouts, y compris une médaille d'or à la 2009 Championnat de boxe amateur asiatique. En 2013, il est devenu le champion national de l'Ouzbékistan. Après avoir signé avec Mayweather Promotions en 2014, il est devenu pro avec un impressionnant 1:21 KO au premier tour contre Brett Simmons en juin 2015.

Chasseur, 27, revient à Sam Town en direct après un impressionnant 2019, dans lequel il a remporté une décision unanime décisive en 10 rounds contre Cameron Krael et a remporté une victoire contrariée sur l'ancien amateur amateur Sanjarbek Rakhmanov. Il vient d'une famille de combattants, il est le frère cadet du concurrent des poids lourds Michael Hunter et son père était un boxeur très respecté qui a combattu avec Mike Tyson. Hunter a passé l'intégralité de son camp d'entraînement au Prince Ranch Boxing Gym à Las Vegas, où il s'entraîne aux côtés des poids welters invaincus Blair Cobbs.

Sur son adversaire…



“C'est mon temps de briller. Hawkins est un bon combattant, Il est talentueux, mais il se tient sur mon chemin. Je ne me bats pas seulement pour moi, mais pour ma famille. Si tu regardes mon dossier, J'ai combattu des gars très durs. Je sais que je suis prêt à me battre pour faire passer ma carrière au niveau supérieur. Hawkins est en baisse. Je vais faire respecter à nouveau le nom de Hunter



«Je n'ai rien de mal à dire sur Malik Hawkins. C'est un combattant assidu. Je sens juste que je vais mieux. Ce est mon temps, et personne ne peut me retirer cette opportunité. Le problème pour Hawkins est, Je me suis entraîné plus que jamais pour remporter la victoire. Je suis plus concentré que jamais. »



Au camp d'entraînement…



«Je voulais que ce camp soit très spécifique. Je m'entraîne bien au gymnase de Bones Adams et beaucoup de pros de haut niveau sont passés par là comme Shakur Stevenson, Manny Pacquiao, et plein d'autres. J'ai regardé comment ils s'entraînaient, et j'ai utilisé la même éthique de travail et les mêmes principes pour ce camp sous la supervision de mes entraîneurs.



Sur son statut de candidat ...



"Je suis maintenant classé 13 par la WBA, ce qui fait de moi un candidat. Je dois dépasser Hawkins, Alors crois moi quand je te dis que je vais tout laisser sur le ring. Je regarde ce combat comme si c'était un titre mondial. Perdre n'est pas une option. »

Baltimore, MD (Avril 6, 2016) – Jake Smith’s Baltimore Boxing Promotions will once again take over Michael’s Eighth AvenueJeudi, Mai 5 in Glen Burnie, MD.
The card will serve as a tribute to Murray “Bushwacker” Smith Sr., the father of Baltimore Boxing’s Jake Smith. Smith Sr., a well-known figure in the Baltimore area for decades, was a longtime event promoter who lost his battle with Melanoma in 2013.

Fighting out of the Baltimore Boxing Club, Veazy won numerous titles since his earliest days in the sport and is one of the top prospects in the talent-rich DC-Maryland-Virginia area. A big ticket seller, a legion of “Bazooka Joe” supporters come out every time he fights.
Veazy and Harris meet for the East Coast 154 pound championship in what will be Veazy’s final amateur bout.
Tyrell Boyd of the Upton Boxing Club meets Genc Pllana for the East Coast middleweight title. Boyd is a former champion and looks to recapture the crown while Pllana is fresh off an upset win over well regarded Donald Wallace.
Popular Clayton Frazier and former Stevenson University basketball standout Stefon McCray are slated to appear on the card against opponents to be announced. Additional bouts will be added shortly.

Baltimore, MD (Février 24, 2016) – Jake Smith’s Baltimore Boxing Promotions returns to Michael’s Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie, MD for “Madness at Michaels” Jeudi, Mars 10.

The card is topped by two title bouts and features some of the area’s notable rising fighters.

Dans l'événement principal, fans will be treated to a heavyweight title bout when “Dangerous” Dallas Butts challenges Drew Ryan for the East Coast Super Heavyweight crown. Butts is making a quick return to the ring, having fought January 28.

Renowned Joey “Bazooka Joe” Veazey of the Baltimore Boxing Club will do battle with Travis Roberts for the East Coast Junior Middleweight belt. The wildly popular Veazey, who has been ranked both nationally and internationally, has his sights set on turning pro in the near future.

Fast rising light heavyweight Donald Wallace meets Genc Pllana. Wallace, who fights out of the Baltimore Boxing Club, was amongst the biggest surprises during the 2016 Olympic Trials and went from being virtually unknown to one of the most discussed fighters on the local scene.

En d'autres actions, Clayton Frazier challenges Joe Nolan while former basketball star Stefon McCray, Tyrell Boyd and Ernest Hall all face opponents to be announced.
